  2. Wjkkwjkfateh.. Thanks for your comments "CaptainC" ... im sorry to inform you there aint no conspiracy... Yes, these camps may be clashing in terms of Dates... but if we all use our brains, we might notice that it is Easter Holidays.. Children have holidays from school. I suppose thats the main thing about holding a camp. Parents are at work, children are usually at school. So, instead of sending children to playschemes or to nannies, what else is there better than sending them to Sikhi Camps in the charan of Guru Granth Sahib ji? Secondly, these children are aged 5 years and above. No parent would send their young children so far away, even if it is only 45 minutes drive. To us students / these might be pretty much similar areas, but for parents they are different Citys. Moreover, the parents are used to their local sangat, their local gurdwara, and i suppose they all know the sevadars who organise these camps. So, there aint no delibarate clashing or "conspiracy". The Sevadars from all three camps get on very closely, they have good communication in between themselves, and in fact they share/swap sevadars, talkers, activities as well as resources. These children and their Sikhi should be the priority. Good luck to ALL the camps, and with the Grace of Guru ji, may everything go well. Like K_Z paji said, the more camps, the better! raam naam anugrahu bahu keeaa gur saadhhoo purakh mileejai || gun raam naam bisathheeran keeeae har sagal bhavan jas dheejai ||4|| The Lord has shown great mercy, and bestowed His Name; I have met with the Holy Guru, the Primal Being. The Glorious Praises of the Lord's Name have spread out everywhere; the Lord bestows fame all over the world. ||4||

  16. If you aint a Fan, then why you posting in this topic for? Kandolas jst stating it for any1 that MAY be interested. Of course, seeing Guru ji is the most important of all, but may be Kandola jst wants Sangat to know that baba ji is comin to Lesta. You got issues mate. Been reading a few of ur posts, and I think ur a bit immature. Oh well, never mind. Anyways, i have seen Baba Jaswant Singh a few times, and to me they have been quite inspiring. They have said in one of their speeches once, that it is important to bow down to Guru Granth Sahib ji. Once there was a large number of young kids, aged under 16 i suppose, in the sangat, and in English bab ji said somethin very inspirin, : "If you have trouble at school, always be brave and remember you are Guru Gobind Singh jis children, never give up. If someone bullying you, do ardaas to Guru ji to give u strength. Always tell ur teacher if anyone upsets you or bullies you for Being a Sikh and having long hair." I found that quite inspiring for the children. Also, im sure there are a lot of people that know they shudnt bow to no1 but Guru ji, but they still do. Many times i have heard And Seen Baba Jaswant Singh tell sangat not to bow down, but they still do. Also dont forget people, mainly the elder generation, people from Panjab/India, they usually do touch peoples feet out of respect. Ok fair enough, puttin ur head to sum1s feet is worse than touchin with hands. but there are many people that touch the feet of a sant, and it is indeed a small number who will put their head to ones feet. But as a whole, there have been many times when Baba ji has said dont bow to me, bow to Guru, but peeps jst dont listen. and i suppose after a bit u prob give up. Forgive me for any mistakes
  17. Vaheguru Im sorry to hear this bhaiji. you wud think sum1 who is a leader of a jatha to have more sense than to joke around about things like this. But dont worry, Guroo sahib will punish him in their own way. Aapeh Beej Aapeh he Kao. Just concentrate on your Bani Jeevan and dont let others put u off or upset you. Carry on in doing seva, and when people talk nonsense, just let it out the other ear and replace it with "Va-He-Gu-Roo".
  18. http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/displayN...me=filtersearch WOMAN SHOT BY MASKED GUNMAN BY PAUL BULL AND JAMES COXON 14:30 - 09 May 2006 A masked gunman shot a woman as she went out of the front door of her Derby home last night. The woman was leaving her house, in Balfour Road, Pear Tree, at 10pm when she was confronted by a man wearing a balaclava. The frightened 27-year-old ran back into her home but was shot in the leg as she tried to close the front door on her attacker. She was taken to Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, where a fragment of lead was removed. Police say that this could have come from a shotgun It is understood that the woman is a member of the family which runs the neighbouring S & A Self Service Food Store. She was today recovering at home. Armed police were on the scene within minutes of the shooting but, despite an extensive search, failed to find the gunman. Investigations were continuing this morning, with officers looking into possible motives for the incident, although they said that there was no suggestion that the shooting was an attempted robbery. A spokesman said: "We're treating this very seriously and inquiries are continuing to see if we can trace anyone in connection with this incident. "The injured party went out of her house and saw a man wearing a balaclava. "She tried to get back in and shut the door. She then heard banging and realised she had a minor injury to her leg. "Initially, it was uncertain whether it had been caused by splinters from the door or some sort of pellet. A single piece of lead shot was later removed from her leg." Brian Taylor (59), of Balfour Road, heard the gunshot. He said: "I was in the house when I heard a massive bang. "I looked across the road and saw a neighbour at an opposite address running from her home towards the shop. I went and followed her and, when I got to the shop, I found a scene of chaos because no-one was sure what had happened. "The victim was one of the daughters of the shop owner. "Apparently, as she turned to run into her home, the gunman jammed the door open with his foot and fired the shot. She was lucky - it seemed to skim her leg. "People said it was a full-sized shotgun which was used in the attack. "The shopkeeper showed me some CCTV footage of the incident later on and you could clearly see a man dressed in a black balaclava fleeing the scene at speed in a saloon car." Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them on 0845 123 3333 or to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
