  1. but yes, even all nihang dal singhs I have heard of and from agree that nirmala panth was established by guru sahiban (I can't comment on that sakhi to be frank) I am not sure if guru sahib instructed them to partake in amrit di daat, khande bata di pahul but I would assume so (not much historical source to back my claim I admit) nirmalay were an important ang of the broad nanakpanth and very important to parchar, but I guess since they were mostly doing parchar in eastern lands of hindus (and centers of brahmanism with haridwar, benares, and holy ganga, etc.) they slowly conformed to the ideas of same people they were preaching sikhi to in an effort to sound more inclusive and attract more sangat and slowly they eroded their principles easy for us to condemn and criticize them, but it is hard to retain sikhi over the course of two centuries when surrounded by those following bipran ki reet sorry for reverting such a big turn from the original topic lol
  2. intrigued but taksal is sort of influenced by nirmala tradition in past century or so it is the modern day nirmalay who have become accustomed to bipran ki reet but there are still virle kathavachik like swami ram singh or balbir singh seechewal activist and many even become amritdhari same goes for naamdhari sikhs with some sense who do not regard baba raam singh ji as a dehdhari guru modern day taksali would have been considered nirmalay back in 1700s as they have taken the mantle of parchaar back in the day, taksal and tarna dal/nihang khalsey would be indistinguishable sant sundar singh ji bhindranwale studied under a nirmaley scholar (can't recall their name as of now)
  3. hanji but the longer versions have more dasam bani, none of the versions incorporate the full anand sahib It just feels weird to skip so much of it, so I am not sure whether it would be beadbi somehow for me recite the full anand sahib instead of the "chhota anand sahib" dhanvaad for feedback
  4. dasvandh of our swaas is a very good idea ji have you seen one of bhai jagraj singh BoS's last videos on every nitnem bani having a friend to go along with it
  5. I was wondering if it is okay for me to recite the full anand sahib within rehraas sahib?
  6. 1Anonymous1 so bhai sahib, you agree with the nihang singh side of this? we are lucky enough to have some singhs in dals still alive from the 30s and 40s and 50s if not those times, so research and preservation of the dal's side of the history is atiant jaruri. I feel like this event is central to the broad traditionalist vs. reformist schism throughout history which has been as llight as mutual respect between Akali Phula Singh ji and Maharaja Ranjit Singh, and as raging as singh sabha movements of Amritsar and Lahore, to the eroded history between Baba Binod Singh/tat khalsa and Baba Banda Singh bahadur to date with missionaries and puratan dals/sampardayi with sgpc in the middle this part of history is confusing, cuz it would villainize either the Babbar Akalis or the diminish the honour of Shrimoni Akali Panth Buddha Dal and I certainly do not want to open old wounds of bad blood
  7. Waheguru ji, this might be my first question on here, but I always feel weird skipping 85% of Anand Sahib during rehraas. Is it okay to include those 34 pauris when I do rehraas? (I have done this a few times before). I am aware that several sampardayi include more and more dasam bani, but chhota anand sahib is something every dal and sampardayi agrees on (as far as this agianee is aware of) so I am not sure whether it is okay for me to bring this up or do on a personal basis either.
  8. I am confused, this is a underrated event in history where Jathedar Baba Sahib Singh ji Kaladhari was kicked out of Sri Akal Thakt by SGPC, there are so many accounts of it.He is said to have been ousted with Kartar Singh Chibbar and SGPC using bibian to abuse him and he is said to have been hurt badly. The SGPC have a totally different account of them being intoxicated and taking over Akal Thakt even other Nihang jathedbanian joining in. Who were the baddies? And is it true Baba Sahib Singh Ji support shastar puja and that's why there were differences between him and SGPC? What contributions did nihangs actually make during british raj as he said to be patriotized by nihangs saying he fought for right of sikhs to wear kirpans but I thought those were the babbar akalis? Are these nihangs just still salty about what happened nearly 100 years ago? Should they be reinstated on the Akal Thakt?
