It's like if you had a friend who was a marathon runner and you were a couch potato. If you were truly his friend, you'd encourage him for keeping fit, even if you couldn't. Not bring him down to your level.
Hanji agree completely

Actually, I see the reverse. With the farmers' protest, even mona Sikhs (or actually, especially mona Sikhs) were taking interest in and participating in local protests. That's the reason people like Deep Sidhu were becoming attracted to something they hadn't considered before.
The key is to not push them away by telling them they aren't even Sikhs.
Yea that's true, I guess it mostly happens overseas? Like in my country in Punjabi school I had a Mona friend who despite knowing about Sikhi and knowing that I have a rehat to follow, he kept trying to convince me to cut my hair so I broke my friendship with him. Many of our apney overseas are following western culture. Many Sikhs in my country neglect Sikhi. Whenever they see people who keep rehat, they will mock them by talking amongst themselves and saying fateh,( they won't say fateh to the Gursikh) they mock the Gurfateh and call those who keep the Rehat Desi Baba. This trend occurs in Punjab too, many of our apney may soon get influenced by western influence if we don't get Quality leaders who can pull crowds towards the Rehat and teach them to be Tyar Bar Tyar.
Some of the Gurdwara committee members are drunkards! They have those big stomachs and are not Tyar at all and neither do they believe in Rehat. There is absolutely no Gatka Practice in my country or archery. It's up to the individual to find ways to learn. We need to strengthen our quality of people.

Amazing Elderly Nihang Singh filled with quality
I am quite sure the Kaum would rather have 1 Singh soorma like Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa than have thousands of bhagwant maans

1 hour ago, SikhKosh said:- Muslims have unity. They always have the 'us versus them' mentality. We are disunited, usually have a secular instead of a panthic outlook on things and most of us do not even believe in the same principles (deravaad and so on). The Gujjars moreover have a tribal mentality and many of their deras across districts are interlinked with each other. This allows them to quickly swell their numbers in case of clashes, as was the case in this incident. We Sikhs meanwhile are busy fighting people of our own village based on their voting patterns lol (akali vs congressi feuds back in the day between villagers etc)
- The figure of 27.000 is definitely far from the truth. There are way more Gujjars than that. They have started settling permanently in Punjab because our lot have started selling them our ancestral lands and houses. But many remain nomads and are thus not counted in the census.
- Gujjars, compared to other Muslim immigrants in Punjab like bhaiyas (Bihar, UP) and Bangladeshis are physically closer to Punjabs (taller, well built) and are perhaps the toughest partially because of their nomadic lifestyle. They will pose the biggest challenge to Sikhs in the coming decade, not the other non Punjabi Muslims.
- The 16 million Sikh population you refer to is an ageing population with few children. The Muslims outrank Sikhs and others in the number of children they have with an overall younger population. The same is the case in this incident where the Sikh villagers are mostly elderly while the Muslim Gujjars were young men.
Veerji, I understand your point above Gujjars being more, but they are definitely not more than 16 million
Is an elderly population a problem for nihangs?
Another great example of Quality of 1 Singh vs Quantity of cowards
Even if the Gujjars are united, so what? The Mughals were united too. They even had the support of Hindu Pahari rajas. Where are they now? They lost and our Singhs had Fateh.

10 minutes ago, SikhKosh said:The alarming thing is that panthic media, barring a few journalists, have largely ignored this incident. We are still not seeing the gravity of the situation and our demographic disadvantage in Punjab.
All the Sikhs of the village have gone undercover fearing for these lives as the administration and police are siding with the Gujjars. No FIR was registered against Gujjars for wounding Sikhs, gathering in mobs with the intent to riot, attacking the houses of the Sikhs, saying they would kidnap and rape the Sikh women.
The Gujjars are not letting anyone come near the fields to get fodder for the cattle of the Sikhs.
All of this is happening in East Punjab, our home. These things will become very common in the coming years. This is the payback for restoring mosques for these people and setting examples of 'communal harmony'...
Now is the time for our media to cover this incident, Sikh orgs and Nihangs should go to the village to show our strength otherwise these Gujjars will attempt other attacks on Sikhs in the near future.
BTW, one of the Muslim attackers that was shot dead had undressed himself while banging on our doors, shouting that he would kidnap our women. Pehnchod got what he deserved.Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh ji
I was just reading that the Gujjar population is 27000 in Punjab. We obviously have the quantity over them, yet why is our quantity not working? Sikh population in Punjab is 16 million. This issue could be solved easily if our Singhs were stronger. Look at the video above sent by Ranjeet01. It looks like there's only about maximum 150 Gujjars, if we had quality, even 50 Singhs would be enough to deal with this crowd. The truth is that even if our Quantity increases, our Apne are not being strong enough, many of our Naujawan don't take interest in Sikhi and Sikh politics. So what happens when this Quantity becomes the main generation? Most of them may just either stay in Punjab or overseas but not take any interest in this event. Our Panth needs defenders, not a huge crowd that doesn't take interest or accepts the situation as it is. Like someone mentioned above, barely any Panthic Media is covering this. Why? It is good that we have quantity and we have independent media, but we can't let quantity be our main focus. We need to train and do Parchaar to our current "Quantity" so that they have quality.
Just my 2 cents

Sikh Farmers vs Muslim Gujjar clash in Majitha, Amritsar
in WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Posted
Hanji unfortunately most students in my Punjabi school are like that. The incident that I mentioned above was about 6 years ago when I was about 10 or 11. Now Das is 16 but there are only 2 or 3 of us in Punjabi schoolw who follow the Rehat. Many Monas here hate on us but of course there are also Monas who respect us
