  1. And what kind of safety he doesn't work in fire station LOL no, i think he means safety reasons such as working in food service for example... tying up your beard in a jaali or something maintains a little more cleanliness around the environment... fateh....... :D ........
  2. wjkk wjkf yes of course... waheguru should be thanked at every second of every minute of every day if possible... wjkk wjkf
  3. ...well, i don't think that your question was wrong at all, and i think that it's great that you decided to stop trimming... we need more people out in the world like you... your question, i couldn't answer, because i'm a male (contrary to popular belief) :D ... but i do believe that it's also up to you to choose whatever you're comfortable with, free flowing, or having a tied dhari... of course free flowing is the best way, and probably the most comfortable, but sometimes, depending on your profession, might be a reason why you would have to tie it... (ex. health profession)

    Eating Langar

  5. ahhhhhhhhh papi!!! your photo is awesome! just chak it... hahaha... that's really awesome....
  6. double and single, the difference... ok, say you wear 7 meters single... that means that the cloth you get is 7 meters long and skinny, just the way it was wherever it came from... say you wear 7 meters double, that means they take the 7 meters and cut it in half, 3.5, and 3.5... take the two halves and sew them up the center, side by side, so that the length is actually 3.5 meters, but it's twice the width of the normal turban.... with this, lars end up being a little fatter... hope this helps.... fateh ohhh... somebody else posted the answer the same time i did... :D that was kinda freaky... haha..

    Eating Langar

WJKK WJKF Sangat Ji, I feel that when a topic comes up such as this one, the only way to turn, is to the rehat maryada. Previously, I had felt the same way as LionChild, that the main thing is equality. And that it really shouldn't matter as long as all are sitting equal with each other. But later, I realized that, if we start compromising things such as this, things that make us who we are, then our Gurus would've been ashamed of us today. Like somebody said before, the Gurus did what they did for a reason, and we shouldn't try to change these things to make ourselves more comfortable. As I mentioned at the top though, we must turn to the rehat maryada in this case. I tried searching it on sgpc.net earlier, and couldn't come up with anything pertaining to having to sit on the floor or not having tables. This is all I could find: Therefore, even though I disagree with people who want to use chairs/tables in their langar hall, I don't think it's possible to condemn them either or call them names and things like that, because that's also not what sikhi is about. Anybody who has found this langar issue in the rehat maryada in a different article or section that I may have overlooked, please let me know. Thanks. Fateh...
