Our British media are too pro India to cover the rally Sikhs demonstrate to mark 25th anniversary of attack on Darbar Saheb 'Pakistan Times' Foreign Desk LONDON (UK): The UK-based Sikh organisations held a big rally in Central London on Sunday to mark the 25th anniversary of Indian Army attack on Darbar Saheb. After gathering at Hyde Park Corner, the participants marched towards Trafalgar Square where speeches were delivered by a number of Sikh leaders and other delegates from Britain, India, America, Canada, Germany and other countries. A delegation of Sikh leaders representing all major Sikh organisations also went to 10 Downing Street to deliver a memorandum for Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The demonstration and gathering were organised by Federation of Sikhs UK, an umbrella organisations of six organisations including Dal Khalsa, Sikh Federation, Council of Khalistan, Sharmonai Akali Dal, Akhand Kirtani Jalsa and Government of Khalistan in exile. Manmohan Singh Khalsa, Vice President, Dal Khalsa Worldwide told reporters that Indian Government is not doing justice with Sikh community and the Sikhs are subject of humiliation and depression in India. “The Indian Government has not pleaded guilty and Sikh community would never forgive New Delhi for this brutal action on Golden Temple in Amritsar on June 6 in 1974. Thousands of Sikhs are still detained in Indian prisons. This protest is an eye-opener for the world and show the anger of the Sikhs against India,” he added. Manmohan Singh said that Sikh community is living in peace and harmony in Pakistan. “Reports relating to ‘Jazia’ (a minority tax) that Sikhs in Pakistan are compelled to pay are wrong and mere propaganda. No British media will propley cover this as it will damage relations withs its economic friend India,we have to do out own media, the best thing was the attendence with around 10 coaches from Southall southall thats the 1st time we have had 10 Coaches and the mass attendence of Sikh Youths - amazing,the more we educate our own the better for ys

This was the best rally ever in terms of attendence Southall had 10 Coaches go for the 1st time,sooooooooooo many Youth I would have never dreamed of seeing there all in all a good rally ,they did get a bit late from Hyde Park due to coaches comming late - that could be due to the heavy rain in the morning

I can confirm this is true as the Southall Ravidas - which was raided by Singhs for having idols 2 yrs back ,will return Maharaj's saroop to Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall - as per reports I have

I saw the channel but the show kept restarting and stopping signal kept breaking up - could this be interference by the Indian Govt agencies, can Sikh Channel please re broadcast it as the majority of people in Southall only saw in total 15 mins as the rest was a broken signal
