We all know that Sikh population are a small population compared to other faiths and we only form 2% of India. At the moment we only have one area in Indian where Sikhs are in the real majority. Due to our strong presence their we have a big voice in all affairs that take place there. Such as the politics ect. Yet other faiths are slowly and surely moving into our homeland and will take over if we dont do anything. How do we stop other faiths from migrating there and taking over?

Well lets look at the state if things as it is. All the sikh institutions and organisations are run by pagh wale. Yet these guys with their paghs and dharis are not doing a good job. We really need to get over this concept that pagh and dhari equals a good person that is intellegent. Maybe let some intellegent moneh run some things. Pagh and dhari does not mean anything compared to what is inside.

What a funny thread idea

I think one of the biggest things also is Sikhs do not look down on non Sikhs. We do not force convert anyone. Spread lies. We are an honest faith. Where our belief is respect for everyone. Sarbat da bhala. Also overcoming adversity.The core belief in not giving up our faith or beliefs. Sikhs are told to stand up for anyone of any faith. To fight injustice wherever we see it . Help the defenceless. Fight dictators and tyrants. Not harm anyone or anything. Live an honest life. In terms of philosophy The shabads tell us about what life is. It guides us on our moral values and lifestyle to lead.

I call it the Harry Potter generation or should I say Harry Putar generation. Were they are morle likely to believe in wizards and witches then their own faith Many are influenced by the media and are converting to Christianity. The reason. they have lost faith and become atheist. Lack of parenting. Sikh parents dont teach their kids jack about their faith. hence we have kids growing up as atheist. We need to start training people to do parchaar and fund them. Basics of sikhi are doing courses to teach people how to do parchaar. So maybe we will have a new generation of fully trained parchaarics comming through the ranks. Its hopeful thinking but If they can do that it can only be good thing to steer the youth in the right direction. As for people leaving Sikhi. Unfortunatley weak and vulnerable people will always be targeted for conversion . Especially when you have people who are in muslim friends circles. I dont have a single muslim friend and never have.

So these are the core beliefs of the faith? Im sure there must be more to Sikhi. then get a decent job at tesco. share our pack lunch with colleagues and praise God?

hmmm theres a big difference as it is in a religious place of worship. Go to any mandir, church, mosque, synagogue, monastry and you wont get free anything. let alone a healthy 3 course meal.

Sikhism has many different beliefs, concepts and practices. But If we were to summarise the main and most important beliefs of Sikhism. What would they be? I know that the belief in one God is probably the main one , but what would be the others? It seems that in modern society many people are so bothered about minute things. That they are forgetting the main and core beliefs of the faith.

Jews are succesfull business people. Who work hard and get rewards. They do good in education and are wealthy. Why be jealous of jews? Seems like you have been brainwashed by the propaganda of the ' Hate jews' By christian extreemists in america.

blame the jewish government of the time. Not the entire jewish people and faith.

Iam well aware of jewish crimes in the past. but out of the three jews have done less. So i like jew better the christians and muslims . We have alot in common with jews we have both been persecuted. We should show solidarity with jews.

Im not saying jews are saints. But Jewish people have done less harm them christians and jews. hence why i said jews are best out of the three.

Theres one thing saying become a good muslim. And another thing saying all faiths lead to God. When they dont. Which As far as i am aware. It does not say that anywhere in Sikhism?

Yep. Yet namespace believes slaughtering animals and then praying over it leads to God. Wakeup Guru Nanak wanted everyone to become Sikhs. But not in a force full way. No wonder he has no name. Untill he becomes intellegent enough. He will always have no space for a name. And be nameless.

So Sikhism is not better then Islam or Hinduism? If Sikhi is not on top of the other faiths. Do you mean All faiths are equally good? How would you feel if your family member chose another faith? Sikhi is the only faith that does not discriminate against other faiths. Islam says slay the non believer. You think that is a faith that leads to God and is the right path to follow? Guru Nanak said be a good muslim. What he is saying is . I am not trying to change your faith. He is saying be the best hindu you can be. If that is your choice in life and dont want to become a Sikh. ie if you chose to be a doctor then be the best doctor you can be. Not Hindu is the best and good as Sikhi. Sikhi is a message that says become Sikhs. But it does not force this on people. That is the key difference. To summarise. If you dont want to become a Sikh. Then be the best of what you are at the moment. essentially saying. become Sikh but were not gonna have hard feelings if you dont want to. Its a compassionate and peaceful faith. He is not saying lets all become hindus. So in essence he is saying indirectly. Us Sikhs aint here to change your faith through force.If you want to the You can do that all by yourslef using your own logic. He is not saying all paths lead to God and are equally the best to follow. Thats something that some liberal panzified Sikhs get wrong.

Judasism also does not believe in conversion. Judasim is better then Christianity in that regard.

The caste system is a load of inaccurate bollox made up by a$$holess with nothing better to do. Theres no truth about it. Ie you are not lower or higher. No one can say who is higher or lower. We are all equal. Also many castes were considered so insignificant and small they were not officially recognised on the caste spectrum according to the Hindu system. Hence these castes are in no mans land. These include jaats or juts that were considered little above the untouchables by the mainstream hindu elite and hence did not bother to give them any official status or ranking.

Im pretty sure Guru Nanak Dev Ji and all the Gurus thought Sikhi is the best. But they were also humble and not boastful. What is meant by that statement is be a good muslim. ie follow the faith you choose to be in. It does not mean all religions are equally good. Alot of people interpret that statement wrongly. Its more about not forcing beliefs down peoples throats. Now Sikhism is the only real true religion. As only a true religion does not look down on non believers or think they are going to hell.

Theres is a big difference between a caveman sharing his loaf of bread or whatever cave men ate. Then an organised religion serving food in all of their temples to anyone of any faith for free. Yes mandirs do that but not in the sikhs generous way
