Dear Gurdssingh, I never listen to BBC AN and never know about these programs, I only hear about them on forums after and get to listen when the show has happended. Why would a Gursikh want to listen to BBC AN when they have Bhangra, Music etc. If Singhs have informed of a show or a debate which is relation to Sikhi yes I would listen to it, again as mentioned early unforuntately I only hear of them after they have happended. In regards why am I complaining that we should have a team and why dont I myself go on there. As mentioned before I never know when these shows happen, I'm most likely at work when they do and veerjeeo certain people have better skill of explaining or doing certain seva. Would it not be better if Sikhs were organised and have a team of sevadaars who are good at public speaking to represent Sikhs with a professional manner. I certainly do so, you may not agree. Further does it not frustrate you when you have person(s)like 'Jasminder' who claims to be a Sikh (I believe he mentioned in an earlier show that he married a Hindu) degrade and fabricate elements of truth? He seems anti-amrithdhaari, as well as the other bibi Sunita or Anita (who also claims to be a Sikh) who stated that most amrithdhaari she's met all drink and eat meat after they have been initiated, she further said to go down Southall on a friday night you will see amrithdaari drunk etc. How can we let these person get a way with such lies and degrading Gursikhs. The reason its frustrating is that when the CLAIM to be SIKH and they say this rubbish what are non-sikh listeners thinking they must be laughing that Sikhs themselves are saying beards/turbans/kirpaans are not needed. We need to challenge such persons. Simple fact they need to be told: If you do not believe in the initiation ceromany, that means you do not believe in Guru Gobind Singh Jee which further states you do not believe in Guru Nanak Dev Jee (as Guru Gobind Singh Jee is Guru Nanak Dev Jee) and if you do not beleiev in Guru Nanak Dev Jee then your not a Sikh. I've said this before, the first caller that called in (Jasminder) who claims to be a Sikh, he always calls in Sikh related devaed and attempts to degrade Sikhi/Amrithdhaari Sikhs and rehat as well as twist Gurbaani. He thinks he has much knowledge in relation to Sikhi. Someone to look out for. We need a good team of Gursikhs who are ready to be on debates.

Dear VeerJee, I can certainly say that is Baba Manochahal Jee. It is very clear. If you look at Baba Jees other video in regards sending a message to sangatha about Khalistan. You will be able to see from voice and features.

A chap on the Sikh-Hindu debate (I think he stated his name to be Jasminder and who is also married to a Hindu as he himself stated) attempted to be a scholar of Sikhi and airing false statements and interpretating Gurbani to suit himself and justifying marrying a Hindu. His views (which are all lies) seem to be of the RSS type attempting to bring Sikhi under the banner of the Hindu faith. Keep an ear out for such charecters.

Caveman, If you read the comments at the bottom of the last link you provided it states: This dance (attaan) is called KOHMBHAR in Hazara division of NWFP and is performed on weddings and other fesstive occasions. It has many varriations, this particular one is performed with GATTKA. I must say these guys are doing it realy well, their body movements are quite sharp and synchronised with the dhol beats. From the above comment you can further understand that the tools they are holding is called Gattka not the actual dance or performance, whereas Sikhs called the Martial-arts Gatka. They both are completely different. GuruSahib did give us the Martial arts we have this documented in many historical texts. Dont loose faith just because of some video.

Matheen Jee, This is my last post on Sikh Sangat. The fact is he does he has done it for years whether hear or on other forums, he used to do it on tapoban too. I am actually suprised you or another admin member deleted my post. It was no personal attack on him. I did not slander him, just the fact of what I have been seeing for years. I am not a child or a teenager who dis-respect other gursiklh whether they be DDT, Nanaksar, Nihung I agree to live with amongst other who have a different school of thought. If Khalsa Aid has enough volunteers, can it not do both?? I am sure there are many sangath members, gap year students etc. that would like to volunteer for Khalsa Aid. Can it not send some to Haiti and still continue with the brillant work they have started on Punjab. I most certainly would be willing to assist in the Punjab project. Any others willing to assist Khalsa Aid in Punjab?

The Sikhs of the west all together should write a letter of complaint with a petition signed by all sangath members sen to the school and education authority of Punjab demanding an apology from the pricipal to the parents. We should also mention in the letter as to why the School could not employ a Gursikh Bibi/Singh for the posistion as Principal. It is a must that we should take action (through the pen ofcourse) how can we let this happen Punjab and let her get away with it. I request all Panthic leaders to get to together form a letter and petition to take this forward. Let this principal know how dare she mock our young sisters.

I would like to openly ask you, what is your issue with Akhand Keertani Jatha? I ask this question because I have seen you’re in-direct insults, comments, pseudo truths about Bhai Sahib Bhai Randheer Singh and venom slinging if there is Akhand Keertani Jatha views on forum way way way before the whole issue with Dasam Granth. I have seen this for years!! I therefore I openly ask you, with folded hands why don’t you tell me and the sangath of your true issue with AKhand Keertani Jatha. I am not entirely sure but a couple years back in Birmingham when a couple of potential youth who claimed to be Taksaali’s had gone pesh at a amrith sanchaar organised by Akhand Keertani Jatha, I did hear a few Taksaal’s singhs became negative towards Akhand Keertani Jatha and began to bad mouth the Jatha and make up lies about Bhai Sahib Bhai Randheer Singh. If that is a reason for some Taksaali Veer to act with hatred, I am very disappointed. It should not matter where a gurmukh piaara goes pesh, amrith is amrith do not see it as different, tyaar-bar-tyaar punj piaare are all the same – Guru Gobind Singh Jees roop. Let the abhilaaki go pesh wherever they want as long as the punj are tyaar-bar-tyaar. I am not sure who you speak to from AKhand Keertani Jatha, I personally have not met ONE SINGLE gurmukh piaara from the Jatha who doubts Dasam Guru’s Baani; yes some singhs from the Jatha have mentioned at times not putting Siri Dasam Granth parallel to Guru Granth Sahib Jee, but never have doubt Dasam Guru’s baani. Akhand Keertani Jatha does not tell you to or teach you to Japp Naam like this in the video. The method of Japping Naam is taught from the Punj as any other Amrith Sanchaar. The post made by Khalistan_Zindabad is false if you have seen one or two persons in a Rehinsubaaee Keertan do not attempt to say that this is what the whole Jatha practice. I am not sure where you get your information in regards to Akhand Keertani Jatha however over the years I have seen post from you always looking for one way or another to bad mouth Akhand Keertani Jatha, whether here or previously on tapoban.org. Anyway We all know you are affiliated with Taksaal, how about keeping ekta between the two groups despite certain difference, I'd rather not mention too much about Jathas that is going off the topic. I can certainly say that Akhand Keertani Jatha DOES NOT teach or believe in moving your body the way in this video, yes at times you may have seen people in sangath rehainsubaees moving but Not to that extent and neither does anybody know if they are affliated to Akhand Keertani Jatha. They maybe affliated to Taksaal, Nishkam or anyother Jatha. I personally knew a person affliated to Taksaal who would move to Keertan, it doesnt mean that Akhand Keertani Jatha taught the person this. If you have done sangath and seen of many of the elders in UK you will see that and know Akhand Keertani Jatha does not at all promote or encourage this behaviour. I put began this post, this may show that being a member of Akhand Keertani Jatha I myself found such behaviour in Guru sahib Darbar shocking. He is not the Guy from Swindon, but from what I have been told the person from Swindon has been taught from the guy in the Video (Sewa Sing Tarmala); and at Swindon it's the same things that have been taught as in the Video. I wonder if the followers of this group in India or UK who attend have an explanation for this? Shocking behaviour.

Dear Sangat Jee, I am just wondering if someone could shed some light on the video. I came across this and was suprised. I know some of the UK sangat attend the small circle in Swindon who has learnt from this Person (Sewa Singh). If you watch the video, I was shocked and suprised that in Guru Sahib Hazooree some people have their kes and dastaar(n) everywhere. Some may argue they have become mast, I would however disagree. I certainly do not believe that during the time of Guru Gobind Singh Jee (and after) during amrithvela that Guru Jee and the singhs would get together and Jap naam like this let their dastaara(n) fly everywhere and then go to battle or daily routines. Dear Veer Humkire, I applaud you on both post, at times I have felt the same. It is true the Panth is very disorganised; with all due respect we have so much organising to do to sit together as a group as one unit and agree on certain skills of organisation and to work together. Having said that, in all honesty I just dont see our elders at present taking up this task. Something to reflect on. Thank you for sharing your words.

Dear Veerjee, Never have I said that the panth owes something to Akhand Keertani Jatha. You had seem to be putting down Jathebandis (which is fine and your choice) and had a statment that if you dont believe in ragmala your going to Narak. I am just attempting to stating a fact that Singh/Singhni's from Akhand Keertani Jatha and many other Jathebandis whom you think may or may not be going to hell have very much piaar for the same guru as you believe, and have sacrificed all for the panth, hence no need to put down groups who attract sangath to become amrithdhaaris and do much parchaar for the panth. It is very upsetting to see a veer to be full of anger over a Jathebandi that has so much piaar for Guru sahib. I have never met a person attempting to compete who has the most shaheed belonging to a group, if you do then I certainly believe that you should explain to them with much love of their wrong doings. Veerjee your post seems to be full of anger maybe I'm wrong it just seems that way. If you have met negative people from a Jathebandi it does not mean that you can put down a whole group of people, that belong to a Jathebandi (and as I mentioned earlier all jathebandis are angs of the panth) Hope none of my post offended you, I dont intend to reply again we can make better use of our time, rather than discuss a topic that can turn negative we can assist the panth go forward and most off all enjoy gurbaani paath/keertan/abhiaas

Dear Veerjee, Please dont see jathebandis as a whole seperate 'religion' or 'cult' all jathebandis are an ang of the Khalsa Panth. There have been many great gursikhs from different Jathebandis. Your statement about ragmala is very offensive, many well known gurmukhs have not believed in ragmala. Note: I do not wish to discuss the issue of ragmala here but the fact you can put such a false statement here is very offensive. Many singhs from the Akhand Keertani Jatha have given their life for the panth for Guru sahib, and have done great seva for the panth. In regards to Manchester Smaagam, that has no lable of a Jatha it is organised by Singhs of Manchester, not Akhand Keertani Jatha UK. It is a sad state that yes there is politics in all groups but that does not mean we should let our panj chaur take over. Over all no one should say they belong to any group apart from the Khalsa Panth. I certainly know that this is something emphasised by the punj in Akhand Keertani Jatha. Instead of having a negative feel see that fact that many who could not attend a Keertan Smaagam got lahaa at home too, which could make some become close to Guru Sahib and become Singh/Singhni
