Answer - because in the SGPC maryada, the kurehit is tobacco and not intoxicants!! I know so many "amritdhari Singhs" who say that it is fine to have a drink because they aren't committing a kurehit and no matter how much you tell them that as per bani both are wrong, it just doesn't have an effect :wub:

Ok, just to clarify, as well as wearing down the floors, the committee are actually objecting to gatka being done upstairs coz they say that nothing except simran/bani and paath should be done in the divaan hall. The thing is that the committe don't really see the point of gatka...maybe we need to explain the whole point of it! Bhaji, try going to http://www.warriorsaints.com/articles/ and read some of the articles...u could probably use a lot of stuff in there. Maybe if we explained the history of gatka, the committee might listen (im looking for a miracle here i knw!) LiL kHaRkHoO bhenji, yes, the gatka training is held in the darbaar sahib, but ONLY after Sukhsaasan has been done and Maharaaj's Saroop is taken to sachkhand.

From my very limited understanding, when we are at gurdwara sahib, we do not point our feet towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee Maharaaj because in that room, that is where our Guru is. We are not saying that Vaheguru is not everywhere, but we are saying that Guru Granth Sahib jee is at that particular place and we must show full respect to Bani. Hope that makes some kind of sense.....

We've got windows xp and have 4 users who can log on and off. But there seems to be problem in one account, where once logged on, we cannot switch user, log off, restart, turn off computer, and even when pressing control-alt-delete, the task manager does not come up! When using the other three users, there is no problem. At the moment, we just switch the computer off from the mains, but there must be something we can do to fix this....anyone?? Oh and when we go to control panel and click user accounts, a macafee virus scan msg comes up saying "the file mshta.exe contains suspicious scripting activity and has been stopped".

Bhaji, is there any site that actually gives the PROPER nihang maryada? Coz there are taksal sites, sgpc sites even namdhari sites, but iv yet to find a proper nihang site. You can't really blame the youth for getting influenced by the nangs when the proper nihang parchaar is not out.........

Try doing sukhmani sahib. I was once told "one path of sukhmani sahib has the power to put hope into even the most depressed person" (and if it worked for me, it can definately work for anyone!!) At first your mind might not rest, but if u do it regularly, with Guru Sahib's kirpa, you'll soon see the difference! Oh and definately talk to ppl about why ur feeeling the way u are - sometimes another person can help put things into perspective. Good luck :TH:

I'm not sure what u mean by important - the only thing I know about "gupt" is that if u do loads of bani and then tell others about it, it doesn't give as much "phul"" as if u keep it gupt. I assume the reason for this is that by teling others how much paath u do, it's a bit like boasting. The gift of doing bani is given by Maharaaj and at any moment He can take it away. There are a few stories/sakhis about those who have boasted about how much sevaa they do and Guru Sahib then takes that opportunity away from them. I hope that makes sense and answers ur qn..........
