  1. Bass Singh That is a good idea. You are more than welcome to arrange a meeting where questions can be raised directly to the current committtee. I am quite certain that you will get the brush off from them. Try it and then let us know your feedback Fateh. . . ...............
  2. Good strategy But have you thought that all the Gursikhs just dont wait around for a call to them. They have other duties like work/family responsibility. The issue here is the committee signing off the permission for the movie to be flimed. No one knew about it. Did you? Just think logically and practically. We are Punjabis and organising isnt one of our great strengths. So just image a lot of Singhs turning up at the Gurudwara after the incident has finished. And everyone is going to give their own opinion it will either turn into a brawl (not good for anyone) or everyone will just go home and things will carry on Again why did the current Committe give out the permission for the movie to be shot. Actually the movie isnt shot in the gurudwara from what i can see. It is shot in the pub opposite. So why did these imbeciles allow the film crew to use the Gurudwara premises as a car park and changing room. This is just not acceptable. The current commitee keeps repeating such stupid things every few months, and will carry on. Hence a change is required. And if that change cant make any difference then there will be a uproar against them as well. But the current committe is a J O K E. . . . . Fateh. . ..
  3. seems i cant upload the file - heres the external link for it. http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...6B37F955817E662
  4. well the whole reason for vote is that you are independent of who you vote. Although my concern will be about the commitee who allow a permit to do all the stuff included in the attachement. Admin/Moderators: Just recorded this from Akash Radio news. Hope you wont have any objection against it Fateh . . . . . . .
  5. Ok some clarification here. i did confront Mr Malhi and asked this directly about if he owns the Monsoon banqueting suite or not. Mr Malhi owns GB Windows (A double glazing company) in southall, and his brother Bajit owns Monsoon. Baljit is not into the Gurudwara elections. Mr Malhi uses the offices at both GB Windows and Monsoon banqueting suite. All i can say is that we have seen the current committee and their doings. They have been there for over 10 years, and I havent seen anything that they have done for the community/religion/or Gurudwara. Yes the havelock road gurudwara was built but there is huge ? on the funds spent etc. Fateh . . . .
  6. Keep on hearing what can we do. Once again I spoke to the opposition party leaders on this. Firstly to see if they were aware, and was glad that they are. Hence when I asked them what are you doing against this. They said they are looking into it but again need support from people outside. Gurmail Singh seems a decent enough Gursikh to me (A very personal opinion so dont shoot me for this). I dont know about Sohi cos I just cant get through to the guy. Mr Garcha (Secretary to Gurudwara) seems to always fob me off. Anyway it may be a good idea to get the opposition to bring this up. Heard on punjab radio that there is a debate between current and the opposition party on Sunday at the radio so that will definately be interesting. In the meantime I suggest that we should give both parties a call and see what there opinion is and what they are doing about such stupidities. Fateh . . . . .
  7. Fateh. . . . No issues with filming within the Gurudwaras. Afterall this happens at all of the sikh weddings, and we all know how much respect of SGGS happens at these times I do have an issue with commercial films being filmed at the Gurudwara. Why - not because of the film or the celebs. The issue is with the control of the filiming and making sure that the Directors of the movie wont abuse the traditions , rituals, emotions and the respect of these places just to get a decent shot. They are not going to respect our religious places. They are going to abuse these and ensure that the masses are pleased. The committe members are impotent pimps who cant think further than 1 second let alone the future. The major Sikh Institution in Europe's committee has become a joke. Time after time we hear what has been happening to the community, due to these hoodwinks. Not restarting the thread, only a few weeks ago a young sikh was picked on by people of another race. These ineffective idiots once again turned a blind eye to it. How long is this going to carry on. All and all it is a shame to have such self-centred egotistical swindlers should not be in power so that they can carry on doing such stupid mistakes time after time. Just look at the current UK Govt. The leader gets the blame for what happens - it is time that the same happened with this institution. Fateh . . . . .
  8. just google it and you will see some standard answers. The employer is looking for the compotencies related to the job so keep your answer related to it. Tell them you can make a difference from the start, hit the ground running, and relate it to the job where your strengths are.
  9. Now dont start telling me off for this. You need to have more oxygen(air) into your hair. As we keep our hair covered most of the times, it is good to open your hair and let it feel some air. In india this is ok, cos rather than using the hair dryers to dry our hair we just use the sun. But over here we dont get that chance that often. Also ensuring that you keep your hair clean by regularly washing it with normal shampoo should be ok. Fateh. . . ..
  10. Can you post the address/directions etc on here pls. Thanks
  11. The central Gurdwara is in Shepherds bush. Perhaps the sign was for that. I just did a google search on it, and that is what came up. Fateh..
  12. Fateh This song has been in India and has been sung in every school for the past 100 years. All State and private schools sing this. How come our leaders just thought of this esp when it is nearing the elections. Beaware of these muppets, they are just here to cause trouble. Ok I understand that the Govt can force the state schools to sing this as part of their cirrculum. But how come the SGPC schools are already singing this song and now they are boycotting this. Didnt these idiots think what should be the main prayer of the SGPC run so called Sikh Schools since the past odd 80 years. Once again Beaware of these tactics used by our so called leaders. They are just causing trouble by stirring things and diverting the attention from more important matters. Fateh . . . . . . . .
