  1. I think its brilliant. The woman wearing the Niqaab (face cover) is common in Islamic countries, this is how they want things, clear as that. It's about time we stopped being apologetic and being taken for a ride by these silly Wahabis. The people that complain just wanna live in a dream and avoid the reality which is what the site shows. Be proud of the people taking a stand, I am vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  2. Great posts Kandola Veer Ji, I learnt a lot, thanks
  3. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! WOW! THIS IS BRILLIANT! JUST WHAT WE NEEDED!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGHH!!! :D
  4. Rochak Veer, you're absolutely right. Please don't send her threatening emails or anything, whoever is doing it. Its a very delicate situation, and people are handling it, phew. Let's all do Ardas for her
  5. If its true and she's been threatened with rape, then do we just allow it to happen? Shouldn't someone contact her local Gurughar and alert the police?
  6. Rochak Ji, we need to be clear whether this was just a hoax. Its worrying me a lot. I mean, this person is being threatened with rape if she does not convert, shouldn't we be reporting this to people who can help?
  7. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Very touching story JSingh Veer Ji. Really struck a cord. I guess you shouldn't feel bad for their closed mindedness. You have to keep hammering away, who knows when they might crack eh? vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!
  8. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Can we all still do Ardas for anyone out there, including that 'person', in case it's genuine stays close to Sikhi? I dunno whether to punch the wall or cry @ vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!!

  12. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Just a Benti to the Cyber Sangat. There is a Sikh brother who has recently converted from Hinduism, currently residing in Pakistan. He is the only Singh in his area and he started learning about Sikhi online. His search lead him to our beautiful Sikhi! Vaheguru! The Sikh brother needs our help Sangat Ji. He wants to get his children married to Sikh families now, understandably. I don't know any Sikhs in Pakistan, but if there is anyone here who knows of any there, please contact him, and he would really appreciate our help. His email address is chohan74pk@hotmail.com It is my bentee to any Sikh brothers and sisters out there to help this brother, and may Vaheguru keep him in Chardi Kala! Gurfateh

  14. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Welcome to the forum. I think everyone has answered your questions already, just wanted to say it's great to have you here and we hope to do whatever we can to help you realise the beauty of Sikhi. It's an experience, and for that you will have to take the first steps of searching. Sometimes the greatest pleasure is in the search itself. Oh, I wanted to warn you, but Rochak my mad brother has already told you that he talks a lot Gurfateh Saihajleen Kaur
  15. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! That is so pathetic. The guy can't act to save his life, he relies on his muscles, but he's probably weak when it comes to real life threatening situations. I'd like a game of chess with him :D @ My Uncle who lives in Delhi was telling me that the situation there (Sikhi) is really deteriorating, maybe someone can confirm this? He said the people in charge of Gurudwara's are Hindu's in disguise who just keep their hair and wear a Dastar cos it's an easy living. Also, he knows sooo many Sardars who marry Punjabi Sikh girls who choose not to speak Punjabi because they think it's too 'uncultured' and they want to be in the upper class of society, I really want to swear, but since I took Amrit I'm trying not to (Maybe Il say one word in my head) Gurfateh
  16. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! She looks soooo beautiful, no comparison to anyone else I'm gonna cry Gurfateh
  17. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Just wanted to say thanks for all your posts. Really helped me, reading through them. In a bit of hurry now, will write more later, and to my Rochak Bro for his new image----> may Vaheguru bless you and make you-----> :e: soooon! Gurfateh
  18. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Penj, this is not Hinduism or Islam, where you can't perform any religious worship if you're menstruating. Guru Ji said the most important thing is that you mind and heart should be pure, first and foremost. God forbid, if you had died and lost that chance, would this have been more important to you? Missing the chance to be a Khalsa? Please, dont waste this chance, people who take Amrit are truly blessed, and it's not just another one of those things, it's a rebirth, go and become Guru Ji's daughter and let us know how it goes. As far as I know, there is no prohibition on taking Amrit, period or no period, anyone can. Take care, my thoughts and wishes are with you, may Vaheguru bless you with his gift soon. BTW Welcome Penji Gurfateh
  19. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I have been reading about Islam recently. Their concept of Tawheed is very clear cut and simple. The names and attributes of Allah, the unity of His worship and His Lordship. They believe Allah is separate from creation, yet He is close to man, as close as his 'jugular vein'. Every aspect of Islam, from Salah (prayers) to the proofs of Tawheed seems to be very logical and appealing to the mind. Every possible question is answered. I have found this is attractive to those seeking answers because of a restless mind. This is perhaps why many people who have lived life in the very extreme (without spirituality) convert to Islam. They are attracted by the simple concepts and rules. I always thought Islam was deviod of spirituality, but it seems they have a concept called 'Taqwaa' which means spirituality or piety, coupled with Eemaan (faith). For Sikhs, I dont think we are able to explain our religion so well. It is very sad, and I know I was not able to give a simple answer to what the goal for a Sikh is?! I was faced with more questions than I could answer, after trying to explain 'merging with Waheguru'. They believe, for example, that this was a Greek influenced Sufi innovation, the idea of 'Fanaa' which literally means to reach union with Allah. They say that this is the case with Hinduism, and this and reincarnation forms the basis for Sikhism, proving that Sikhi is incorporating old, unproven ideas from eastern religions with no origin. They say the soul is breathed into man by Allah's angels, but the Rooh (soul) is not part of Allah (as we do), but it is in fact a creati on of Allah, under His command, it's not as if he broke of pieces of Himself and infused it into man. They say if man has Allah inside of Him, why does he not worship monkeys? Does it befit Allah's majesty if we believe He is inside ALL creation, and which includes faeces and other human waste? If He is within us, then we are within Heaven, which negates their whole goal in life. The number of times I've been called a Sufi! In addition to this, they believe as Mohammad was the seal of all Prophets, the question of a new religion arising doesn't even arise. All these questions are slowly driving me towards insanity. I can't sleep anymore. It seems silly, but I'm so confused. Why is it that all of our Sikhs sites on the net have different concepts, Ragmala or not?! Keski or not?! So many distinctions, so many divisions, how will we achieve unity this way?! Muslims, may be divided but they treat each other as brothers and sisters, it's incredible to see how close their communities are. We even disagree on basic things like Rehat Marayada, and I don't know about anyone else, but I've been misled countless times by reading wrong translations of Gurbani in English, which is so dangerous. There seems to be a different version on each site. It's so frustrating, I want to be able to explain my faith, first and foremost to myself, and then to others, Sikhs or non-Sikhs. All these divisions, Tat Khalsa, Nanaksar, AKJ, Namdhari's, etc etc. What will happen to our furture?! I don't know whether to wear a Dastar, and I don't think I will ever know, everyone has their own opinions. I don't know who to ask when I have doubts about Sikhi, when I ask my family they tell me I should stay quiet, do Paath and not concern myself with this 'philosophical rubbish'. Every week someone is probably contemplating converting to Islam because they can't explain something they believe in so much, is this normal!? Why are we so polit ically correct? Let's start our own 'conversion tactics', if it means building up a foundation which no one can challenge, an explanation of Sikhi which is irrefutable, surely we have that much faith in Gurbani? I can't explain how Waheguru is in everything, meaning He has changed before creation, isn't change imperfection? I apologise for offending anyone in writing this, I guess I'm very frustrated and emotional at the moment. Please forgive me. I implore my Sikh brothers and sisters, to think about what we are doing to ourselves, is it worth it? Gurfateh
  20. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Gabroo, it's ok to remain divided between ourselves, but to discuss another religion within the context of Gurbani bothers you? No need to put down a religion which is false anyway. What do you want us to do? Praise the religion for which our Guru's lost their whole families, for which our mothers and sisters were raped?! Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  21. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! The Quran is false, and we need to stop being so apologetic, this is what makes us so weak. Muslims will not regard the Guru as Truth because the believe Mohammad is the last messenger, the FINAL messenger, do you hope to change that? I can't see them disbelieving their testimony of faith, which includes testifying to the fact that Mohammad is the LAST messenger. So, no I dont expect them to look at our Guru as Truth, because they are closed minded. If we take a stand, and expose their lies, then we can survive, do you think they do not celebrate when they convert people to Islam, using deception? Do you think they choose not to slander other religions in order to achieve this cause? I respect your stance on tolerance Veer Ji, but sometimes the only way to fight fire, is with fire. Prof Darshan Singh Ji, in his discourse on the Shabad 'GurSikh Dee Eho Nishani' by Bhai Gurdas Ji, tells us that Bhai Sahib used merely one example to describe a Sikh. He tells us a Sikh is like water. The water can be kept cooled, in which case it gives great comfort to those who seek it, water also only settles in lower regions of the ground, i.e. humility. Also, water can be dangerous, when it is heated (challenged in the case of a Sikh, when it comes to defending his religion's honour). So, boiling water can be dangerous, but ultimately it douses the fire, so even while being destructive it is beneficial (Parupkari). I just pray everyday, having gone through a similar experience, that we dont become so lax and hide under the label of 'tolerance' that we end up like Hindu's, who didn 9;t lift a single Trishul when they were being persecuted at the times of the Gurus, the Sikhs took up that challenged, despite being small numbered, and Hindu's then persecuted US, when their rule was stronger, what was the use of taking up the Trishul when you are already on the winning side, will we be walked over again and again?! No! Let's redefine the concept of Saint-Soldier, and realise that Soldier is also a concept and part of the life of a Sikh. Humble apologies if I have offended anyone. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  22. Vir Singh does nothing but try to put down Nanaksar in each post. It shows a sad mentality of someone with too much free time. You should try to do things and stop being so obsessed in such a futile cause.
