  1. maybe the wording wasnt perfect but prhaps all it means its not a well known keertani
  2. Nah lets give it a shot, but before that i recommend you post the rules to your game.
  3. is this post for thoughts or nindia of others?
  4. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh I wonder what happened to glasgow singhs original post. Nevertheless, The dispute between the committee youth was begininng to take an ugly turn, this resulted in many younger kids getting annoyed and disturbed from their sikhi as they quite rightly didnt have a clue what was going on. Without pointing any fingers at any direct person... i would like to state some facts. The committee have yet to sit down and talk to the youth that were involved as mature adults and utilise some compassion that they must possess, as they have now took down the notice that was on their noticeboard that was pointing fingers. I am posting this simply to prove certain people wrong that the comments made on this site were not to rouse anyone, if so why would i be posting saying the committe have took down the notice that blamed youth for acts they had not committed. The poster was on this forum and it testified that we were getting blamed for various acts of vandalism. The board must have realisedd their mistake and have now taken that poster down. The youth have backed down as well, the youth have not backed down because they are afraid of any of the threats that were dealt out, they have calmed down because they have decided not to protest as the effect on the younger children could prove to be devastating. Especially since some parents thought the acts were disgusting. It is our misfortune that the parents are not aware of the extent of the situation. Many youth still wish for lights off (in the mind they think no1 can see them) not for any stupid ritualistic reason. As for doing the keertan on the floor it was done like that for 8 years or more and it was just natural to protest against the decision as noone had ever complained before... a very small part of it was young blood and the committee used this against the youth. Youth have anonymously agreed that sikhs should jap naam, remember wahguru at all times and set a such examples of sikhi that children get inspired and go on to inspire. It seems that the youth have agreed not to get tangled in the dirty game of politics that seems to associate itself with gurdwara committee(s). I have not singled anyone out, i have not said any lies, its a different story if you wish to cause hate posts. Phul chuk maf karnee Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh
  5. What you should worry about is: 1)Are you doing enough simran? No one can do enough, so no 2)Are you doing enough paath?? I am not currently at that stage 3)Are you pukka in your amritvela? Im not even amritdhari 4)Are you doing enough to fight the panj chor? Usually , but even my level best cant be considered good enough 5)Are you following what guru sahib ji says? I try to 6)Are you reading Sikh history? As much as i can, there isnt alot of time as you point, and knowledge is in abundance 7)Are you learning keertan? Cant sing, wont sing...i do however enjoy listening to keertan 8)Are you doing santhyaa? no comment 9)Are you doing gatka/shastar vidya abhyaas? I dabble, certain members of ******* (city) elder members have now officially banned any of this. That doesnt stop me though 10)Are you doing enough seva for the panth? I cant ever do enough but it is an aspect i ttry to cover We have such a small time in this lifetime..... And we are wasting every single breath that doesn't jap naam.... agreed hm grIb mskIn pRB qyry hir rwKu rwKu vf vfw hy ] ham gareeb masakeen prabh thaerae har raakh raakh vadd vaddaa hae || I am poor and meek, God, but I belong to You! Save me-please save me, O Greatest of the Great!
  6. Sorry but i have to agree we must unite and stop beadbi. WE should unite together and have a meeting discuss our actions then do action on them. I heard the protest was going to be a peacefull one. Before all the diehard kharkoos throw the story about a brick in my face. Id like to point out i agree with stopping beadbi, but to stop to beadbi we shouldnt resort to violence unless it puts someones life in danger. Gursikhs such as bhai fauja singh had such a high jeevan that when him and his comerades went to put a stop to gurbachna using the SGGS as a stepping stone a peacefull protest was agreed upon, at all costs. Various gunmen tried to shoot him down, yet he only uttered waheguru waheguru waheguru. The R4G singhs need to take a deep look inside and ask themselves why couldnt we be patient and ignore the bricks. Their mind wasnt with waheguru thats why, manmat came back into play and they got worried about their injuries. When gurbachna threatend singhs back in the day with guns and rains of bullets they didnt run, scream or retaliate, they uttered waheguru, they accepted the gurus decision, and as the nihangs say charyee kargay. Sorry if this distresses the people that were present but im not condemning you, but i am condemning your motives as before arrivbing their was an agreement that there would be no need for violence.
  7. It does not matter how big a gurdwara is. I agree with your point that i do need to read up on my gurbain knowledge. But i did not boiast about my gurbani knowledge either, infact i dont remember quoting about it at all. Secondly i agree that guru ji only has to be in the heart hence the reason i wish that gurdwaras the very home of our 11th living breathing guru is immaculate, im not just saying this but i think seva has got be among the karms, so mr raajkaregakhalsa before you direct anyt more emails at AkalPurkkiFauj, dont, instead take some of your 'cybertime' out and go to the gurdwara try and view it as if you had to lie there, is it good enough. Then you will see why many sikhs in particular youth have begun to IMPROVE the building that guru ji is in.
