  4. Bhaji, I've read the mool mantar...and have also read the 'arth' done by Sant Giani Kartar Singh ji Bhindranwale. With Maharaaj ji's Kirpa, I'm pretty sure about what I'm saying. Infact, Sant Ji has made it extremely clear, with abundant proof, that Guru Nanak Dev Ji were Akaal Purakh themselves. In the 'steek', about 30 pages are a beautifully detailed explanation of how Guru Nanak Dev Ji were the Avtar of Akaal Purakh Waheguru Himself! Following are the panktian satated as proof in Sant ji's steek: siqgur nwnk dyau hY prmysru soeI] sathigur naanak dhaeo hai paramaesar soee|| Guru Nanak is the True Guru and is God Himself. nwrwiex inj rUip Dir nwQw nwQ snwQ krwieAw] Awip nrwiexu klw Dwir jg mih prvirXau ] joiq rUip hir Awip gurU nwnku khwXau ] joth roop har aap guroo naanak kehaayo || The Embodiment of Light, the Lord Himself is called Guru Nanak. siqguru prmysru myrw ] sathigur paramaesar maeraa || The True Guru is my Transcendent Lord. 7. To be fairly honest, I don't believe it was an honest mistake. One can't have had Amrit recently, before getting Head Granthi Singh's sewa. He's bound to have read Rehraas Saheb for years now! It's supposed to be second nature by now!! Try and imagine what happened. Bhai Saheb says,"Kaho Naanak Ham neech karamma ll Saran pare ki rakhaho sarma ll". And then right after that...what did he start with? "Raamkali mahalla teeja"? How is it possible? The brain should simply start going BEEP BEEP! something's wrong! It doesn't sound right. Well, if one can't do Rehraas Saheb without forgetting such a big part of it...one isn't deserving of the sewa of Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Saheb.

  13. Haven't listened to gaane and stuff for quite a while, but this thread has got me addicted to coke studio. Anyways, this is the one that's touched me so far. This one's cool too!
  14. Makes me really wonder about the ethical part of it all!!! :mellow2:
  15. Bhai Saheb, only you both can decide what your attitude for showing affection towards each other is supposed to be like. Being intimate or showing affection isn't planned. They're just emotions. And they're purely instinctive! Nobody tells a baby to cling onto the mother for love or protection. S/he just knows! It's all instinctive! Let me give a little example. When my baby was about a month old, the health visitor had come for a check-up. She held him in one hand...and asked me to get him to hold onto my fingers with his hands. She dropped him a little, and caught him with the other hand. As soon as my baby was dropped a bit, he clutched tightly onto my fingers that he had held. It was all done to check some survival instinct. But it was absolutely astounding that a month old baby KNEW to do that!
  16. I don't think your Kanga getting wet should matter much. If you take a shower, your Kanga is in your Kes beneath your keski. Change your Keski after your shower, if wet. I would recommend a separate gatra and Kirpan for ishnaan... as getting your kirpan wet, damages the sheath from the inside...and after some time the kirpan will not fit in it tightly enough. Whilst Kesi-ishnaan, (if under the shower) tie the gatra onto your waist. If your Kanga has a long looped 'dori' (thick thread?)...you can wear it on your neck. If you've got no dori on it...attach the Kanga onto your gatra...with the gatra looping through the teeth of the Kanga. Like I said, having a separate Gatra-Kirpan for your ishnaan is beneficial. After Kesi Ishnaan...you can leave that gatra to dry and put on the other one. Do take care, that if the Kirpan is wet, take it out of the sheath and let them both dry up.
  17. Where would the money come from? Will it be from sangat's daswandh? If the sangat gave their daswandh directly to the organisations they'd wish to support, they can do it as per their own will. I'm assuming that if there was such a bank...it would control where the money went. (or the donors could be provided with choices). Transparency is a MUST is such 'non-profit' organisations. ^^^ I believe this would be the hardest part to decide on, 'coz the words Sikh and Punjabi are generally always intertwined.

  19. That's the whole point...isn't it?
  20. I'm only assuming... but I think because they might have some Taksaali Mahapurakh or jeevan-wale rehni-behni wale Singhs as their ideals...and understandably, it's hard to decide what's right, when you're newly-wed. Also, I think this Gupt section is more like a boon in that sense 'coz no one wants to talk about these things in 'real-life'.

  22. Waheguru! Bhaji, Dasam Bani smashed it! :tongue2: To be fairly honest...the questions the OP has asked are quite legitimate to an extent. Me and my Singh have been discussing about the theories about preservation of s*xual energy for spiritual progress. Baba Waryam Singh ji mentions about it in his Katha as well. Yoga suggests it too. So, my Singh decided to ask Baba Hari Singh Randhawe wale (they're good friends). And Baba ji said almost exactly what NeoSingh Bhaji has been explaining in a few recent posts; i.e. if one doesn't want to indulge in all of this...grihasti jeevan is not for them and they shouldn't be in it in the first place....and one-sided decisions for becoming 'bihangam' only makes matters worse. And thus, we came across this Guru-waak. Also, being a mother and a wife does make such things clearer. Had I come across the question when I was unmarried...I'd have thought the OP has gone bonkers!!! :drop:
