  1. Go read some Bani and you shall find it in everything from there...
  2. There is a company which provides a wkd chat system add on to the forum however, i think its quite expensive
  3. The thing is Big Tera, i think a lot of us feel the same. However, it is believed in this case that the girl has been "brainwashed" or in some other way forcefully converted which has caused this issue to spark up.
  4. It happened. BBC News reported. Have spoken to family n friends. So yes... its no joke.
  5. It was a good turnout though. Lets keep the momentum up. What actually is handed over to the home office n that?
  6. Kabeer, the pure drop of water falls from the sky, and mixes with the dust. - Kabeer jee is talking about rain which falls from the sky. On the way down from the sky, it will get polluted (like acid rain) and become impure. Millions of clever people may try, but they will fail - it cannot be made separate again. ||196||- Scientists etc who are "clever" can try, but they wont be able to seperate the pollution from the water in its liquid form. (forgive my mistakes, there are many more learned people on this forum than me)
  7. Whatever. I dont know which area you live in, but i know around where i live and other areas of mass Sikh population, a lot is going on where Amritdharee's are doing their best to do raise awareness against things like forced conversion and so forth - and not for other Amritdharis, but girls from a Sikh background on the whole. Yes, we could ALL do a LOT more... but i think thats the case with everything.

  9. Yeh heard about this when it happened. Really bad man.
  10. DDammmnnn.... dirt? Waheguru, if you had an opinion, i might say "i have to respect that"... but who are you to caste judgement on a case that you dont know enough about. That "dirt" took Khande-baate dha Amrit from our Father, Guru Gobind Singh Jee... you would have called her your sister (i hope) up until last week... and now u disown her without knowing the exact issue and call her DIRT? You should be ashamed of yourself.
  11. THE BBC NEWS STORY : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMxA3buFxtg
  12. Yes i dont know why the website has not covered this story but it has been on BBC Midlands Today this evening.
  13. Its weird - there was a big uproar locally about this on saturday when news of this emerged. chain text messages sent around and so forth and sangat went down to the house of the family... a member of family went to the police station where they had a 15min meeting with the girl. The girl claims she willfully converted. this is a 19yo amritdhaari girl in question...
  14. Why is it to be closed? What is the problem with discussion regarding this particular case?
  15. "3 masked men believed to be Sikh", "storm into muslim home", "armed with axes"...
  16. Is anyone watching BBC News Midlands Today regarding the issue above?
  17. This is a WICKED thread. Keep it up PLEASE Waheguru
  18. I love you Manvir Singh - you are a fine example of someone i aspire to be like... well done.
  19. I am just watching C4 and Lagaan is in the Top 50 Films To See Before You Die! Sorry, i just think thats brilliant and well deserved! http://www.channel4.com/film/reviews/featu...2&id=161521 oh and Lost In Translation is fantastic also though thats got nothing to do with anything here
  20. No one is born a GurSikh... you recieve Amrit... then you're a GurSikh.
  21. YESSSSS Orono got the sickest ever dharmik album ever. Sukhwinder Singh sang that soooo beautifully. His other album too was just... amazing. There is one track "ik din putt see maa nu puchdha".. that really makes my eyes well up. So emotional...
  22. yeh but come on here, why not just say "if anyone wishes to request seva of keertanis, please contact us and we will provide you with contacts?" We should be trying to get out of this jatha malarky and class ourselves as part of the Khalsa panth, rather than this keertani jatha or whatever. Sorry, i am probably being a prude. Just dont like this kinda thing n think people should do seva with a bit more nimratta before creating new groups ie. jathas. Sweet Sikhi programmes n that have been really good and really influential and soulful so this its nothing bad against that at all and the magazine thing has been one of the best online by far, but creating a "jatha" and labelling it a jatha is not good. A humble request to the Sweet Sikhi sevadhars on my behalf to reconsider this. Forgive me.
  23. Is it really wise to creat a "jatha" though? I understand your aim but not sure if this is a good way of trying to achieve it...
