  1. I have a question are there several forms of samadhi ie nirvikalap samadee and some other and also what is the mere mortal understanding we have of brahmgyaan because i know that there are several stages of brahmgyaan such as the level of ridhi sidh and then bedehee mukat etc Interestingly if you look at the life of Swami Ramana Mahapursh you see that they had no brahm vidiya ie studying vedas etc. Also notice that they didnt go through all the stages that a normal jagyasu persaon would go through such as firstly keeping rehat, then studying Gurus vidiya and then seva and simran and nitnem and then bairaag and then prema baghti. However one thing that is always essential to any mahapurk that has ever walked the planet you see that at some point they have acquired some form of gyaan and that this gyan has led them to self realization. Swami ji never had any physical Guru the concept of death was enough for them to begin self inquiry, then they pretended to enact themselves dying and this was enough for them to realize their true form........The life of Swami Ji has had a profound effect on me, before my favourite saint was Baba Nand Singh Ji but Swami Ji, just looking at the photos of them have an amazing effect on you. They spent their whole life in one place. The only teaching that Swami Ramana Maharishi ever gave was that a person should do self inquiry ie close all his senses and travel on the path of self inquiry
  2. Good point.....this was once asked to Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji and he stated that inorder for me to do katha and speak myself from conscious mind i have to minutely merge into conscious from the pure parmatama form. Incidentally out of all ther kathas i have heard upto now and now i only listen to Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji i am amazed that baba ji' katha is very different from the normal katha we listren to. Whenever anyone gives a discourse it is always 100% biased by ones own interpretations and expweriences.you can tell from Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji's katha how he always talks about brahm, gyaan..I love it the way he says " chauteh padh vich charah hojanda"
  3. This is a topic i am serious to read and learn about so keep it good and consice all these long posts i cant read all of them and i cant get Gurbani Akhar aswell so just provide STTM links please and keep it conscise. I have a question are there several forms of samadhi ie nirvikalap samadee and some other and also what is the mere mortal understanding we have of brahmgyaan because i know that there are several stages of brahmgyaan such as the level of ridhi sidh and then bedehee mukat etc The video below is mindblowing and essential to objectivley understand self realization http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS_aXgTYIZc
  4. Heres my points on this topic: 1: i dont believe the attack was to kill him or assinate him, but no more than just to scare him up and traumatize him and just give him a beating, since he is now an old man. 2. It may be possible that this was an oportunistic attack ie they just happened to be there and saw him. 2.Notice the corrupt police and how they have pressed charges for GBH with intent only because he is a high profile man. How many fights dont we see all day long in the UK where a knife is used and that they dont go to this high degree of criminal indictment. Brar has only minor injuries yet they would like to see the Sikh culprits get maximum prison sentence. By common law they are looking for between 2 and 3 and if founf guilty the maximum is 3 and half years inside. 3. The BBC and the UK government hold priority to the wishes of its commonwealth country India and not to human rights or any justice for the Sikhs that the Sikhs have been lobbying for since the past decade. The british are supporters of the genocide govt of india during 1980's as revealed by Brar himself who states that soldier went tolearn from the SAS 4. This website and heavy british intelligence is in operation to inform the Indian Govt of what Uk Sikhs ideology is and who is who. 5. Generally this incident has brought sikhs more into an extremist spotlight and also can raise kirpaan issue if this was used. 6. I believe the great Singh's that did this should not ahve used any weapons since an assault would have had a lot serious criminal disposition. Its obvious they are hardly gonna get away with this especially in London. I hope they get some proper strong defence lawyers who can broker a deal with the Prosecution and hence get these guys a lesser sentence. 7. For a lot of Siks including Dr Manmohan Singh who say we should forget 1984 .......well from the media hatred we have seen from India we can clearly see that post operation blue star pogroms against Sikhs continue and that there plans of keeping Punjabi Sikhs as slaves continues. Every kind of deprivation you cabn think of is being used in Punjab to keep the Sikhs as downtrodden second class slaves. 8. The british government as there history suggest are no more than slaves of mammon.....If the India Govt mint their treasury then they will help them otherwise they do as the do in Iraq with Saddam or in Libya with Gaddaffi.....First they sell weapons to them and then when they are no longer of any use to them they get them killed. My conclusion Sikhs across the world need to realize that the present time isnt the 1960's of hippy enjoyment. just look at the attacks on SC and Sangat TV and that the need is for coming together and using the brain - this is where we severly lack we dont do anything intelligently because for a start we cannot even sit in one place together. The media we have need to be very careful and more efficiently utilized for example they havent shown the discourse by Singh Sahib Ranjit Singh in the UK where they exposed SGPC and Badals failings....Also Sangat TV pulled the plog on live bhog of Sri Akhand Paat Sahib at AKJ Gurdwara Sahib in Derby. Every day a new jathebandi is being created, but only that is getting done what a few individuals are painstakingly doing.... In the last 2 years there have been severe attacks to destroy the esteem of the Sikhs. Recently we have seen the attack on Hawara, the killing of an innocent protester Bhai Jaspal Singh and no justice, the attack on Bhai Rajona, the accension of Sumedh Saini, Canadian politicians speaking ill of Sikhs and detention and torture of Bhai Kulbir Singh and Bhai Daljit Singh. Thousands of Sikhs in jail without charges. The burning of Gurbani Swaroops, Turban issue in France. The SGPC passing an amendment that Gurdwaras can be knocked down to support the Radha Swamis. You have the Radha Swami issue and many more that do not come to mind. The conclusion is that the 1984 pogroms against the Sikh continue and whilst the Sikh institiutions in Punjab support the Indian administartion so long as their bellies remain full, the Sikhs abroad are doing very little and if not careful are being played to fall into traps.
  5. So many wrong quotations form Gurbani here do to lack of sampardai vidiya.....Begumpura sehar is the name for brahmgian it isnt some city where God resides and you have friends there. Also the whole of Gurbani teaches how to achieve self realization ie jeev brahm di ekta
  6. N30 with humility i disagree with some of the stuff you are writing and hence you are showing you academic knowledge but the lack of anubhav knowledge........let me answer this topic in a simple form....a huiman being is not the physical body ie skin hand etc.....this is merely a cloth. The human beings form is soul. This soul is a pure light with all the magnificence of nirgun vaheguru inside you, however because of the existence of mind the human being is in dillusion of ego... ego gives rise to all of mans problems lust anger desires enmity respect etc. When the human being destroys his mind the mind vanquishes it is completely obsolete and is replaced with the atma.when the human being grows old and dies people think oh he has died but infact it has no difference to him he is already soul form..Then this soul goes and merges with God The true Guru i
  7. two points that i believe on the basis of whatever (little) i understand of Sikhism: Nirvikalap samadhi is the same as samadi anyway....Samadhi is somethign you can come out of ie, Baba Mohan Ji comes out of samadhi to give Guru Ji the Guru Bani pothis. The proper going into self realization this is from where there is no going back, such a person obtains God....This state has many names from many schools of thought muslims have names for this, hindus call it adavitanand or sat chitanand .....gurbani names this jot swaroop or brahmgian........however from within the state is the same it just has many names. IMHO sachkhand is the attainment of God ie self realization and not some sort of special home made of gold where God resides sitting on a throne and you go there and life happily everafter.....However what i have learnt is that sachkhand is attaining the atma state and then since you are liberated of all bondage you are a free spirit nothing more than a unit of light from the pure source of light (God)...what is God ??? God is a shakti it is a power that has this cosmos as a form swaroop of this shakti. Hence this light is free to travel or assume another form or merge with God whenever it wants.......If you learn of the life of Sant Sham Singh Ji Amritsar vale when they left there body infron of everybody there body self combusted and a light came out which did parkarma of Guru Granth Sahib and then rise into the sky and diappeared......Sant Ramana Maharishi were asked where will you go when you die and they said we will go nowhere because tehre is nowhere for me to go there is no place, the self has absorbed into the superself (God)
  8. in a orthodox sense and traditionally when there is a gatka procession or if you are going to do gatka practice it is accompanied by the percussion sound of the dhol
  9. sometimes you dont have to do anything - you just get it automatically and it will go away automatically aswell....For some they remain in brahmgyaan forever for example watch the youtube documentaries on swami ramakrishan parmhans and swami ramana maharishi
  10. wikipedia is a free encyclopedia built on content written by ordinary members of the public.....Wikipedia also has an editing function, hence you can rewrite what has been written....Therefore overall it can be relied upon
  11. listen to the katha below by Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji on how to attain raj http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audios/Katha/01_Puratan_Katha/Sant_Gurbachan_Singh_%28Bhindran_wale%29/Guru_Granth_Sahib_Larivaar_Katha/Volume_07_Ang_0537-0659/086--Sant.Gurbachan.Singh.%28Bhindran.wale%29--Raag.Soratth.%28Vaar%29--Ang-647.mp3
  12. Gurbani states - Raj Na Chao.......Raj is like a little chrismas present infront of the Guru Khalsa only if the Panth follows the teachings of Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Sahib Ji......If you look at the Sikh history post Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji you see that the Panth followed the Guru's instructions and remained united and followed its martial warrior path. You also see that all Sikhs were nitnemi and rehatvan with great ideals. Hence the Khalsa flag remained on the red fort of delhi on numerous occasions. Then Maharja Ranjit Singh came aswell who's raj was unbreakable. However as the Sikhs became pandits and started to follow the brahmin lifestyle you see the annexation of the raj and the downfall of the Sikh panth.....Sant Jarnail Singh Ji revived the Khalsa traditions but the majority of punjab Sikhs never supported him because they themselves were poor in gursikhijeevan hence the chance for Khalsa Raj was lost in the 80's. Today you can see that the Sikh institutions themselves are eroding Sikhism and the so called Akali regime in Punjab is itself severely damaging the Sikh faith. I cant see in my life time there being a Khalsa Raj as the majority of Sikhs look like and imitate jazzy b......Today people say that there are so many threats to the Khalsa..........., this is like 1% of the hardships the Sikhs went thru during the times of the Moghul Empire and yet they came out victorious.......No there are no threats only you yourself are responsible for destroying your own faith and hence the downfall of your community. A cigarette smoker can offer you a cigarette but only you yourself decide to put it in your.

  18. if a river flows smoothly it brings life to land.....if a river doesn't follow its correct path and erodes its banks then it brings destruction.....it is bad that both of you let yourselves get to this bad state. In my opinion both of you forget what happened and seperate completely otherwise both of you and your families will be ruined. The correct social custom is that a person marries to the same as their own i.e., sikh marries sikh, muslim marries muslim, hindu marries hindu etc. im sure their are many other people of your own origin that can satisfy your passions and attachments.
  19. listen to the katha below by Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji - he explains that paath and katha of salok sahiskritee has the mahatam of ridding houses of spirits etc http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audios/Katha/01_Puratan_Katha/Sant_Gurbachan_Singh_%28Bhindran_wale%29/Guru_Granth_Sahib_Larivaar_Katha/Volume_15_Ang_1352-1430/004--Sant.Gurbachan.Singh.%28Bhindran.wale%29--Salok.Sehaskritee.Mahalla-5--Ang-1354.mp3
