  1. Some basic Sikh concepts need to be understood: Briefly: 1) When the individual acts in ego - he is subject to paap and pun and the consequenses are sukh and dukh in many life forms. 2) When the individual reaches his own soul then he/she becomes above paap and pun, hence is no longer subject to dukh and sukh. This state has many names brahm swaroop, atam gyan, brahm gyani, brahm sarotari, tat ka bheta, jot swaroopi etc. Such a person become free from the temptations of maya and becomes jeevan mukhat. Such a person merges with nirgun form of God and is no longer subject to nature and time and space. 3) God has written what will happen for every individual, however good actions and ardas can change this and mitigate for you. What God has written for you is based on your previous karams from previous lives. 4) If a person says it is okay to drink alcohol because God is the doer. Then this is wrong since God isnt the doer the human being is responsible for his actions. The post in this thread need contexting - so if you see on a higher level God is evrywhere and everything but on as lower level the individual is responsible for his destiny.
  2. maybe because it is a jang vidiyia and hence weapons would always be used and so importance was given on fighting with weapons. I remember listen to Suraj Prakash katha at the Gurdwara where Guru's used to make the Singh'sa do sit ups and learn wrestling. I think some svai raksha training was given aswell.
  3. Yeh maybe you guys should take this aboard instead of doing kuur parchaar. No person can be called panthic gursikh if he preaches doubts about our father Guru Bani IMHO
  4. The Damdami Taksal stance is thus: 1) It is present it the Sri Adi Granth Sahib Ji, Kartarpuri Bir. It has been tested to see if the ink, handwritting and Ang is the same as the rest of the Baani. It has passed these tests. 2) It is present in the Bhai Banno Bir. 3) It is present in the Swaroop written by Bhai Mani Singh Ji. The same tests have been applied and it has passed. 4) It is in the four Biraa written by Baba Deep Singh Ji. These four Biraa are installed in four out of the five takhts (obviously not Akaal Takht). These swaroops match, word for word, the swaroop written by Bhai Mani Singh Ji. Daas has got an image of the swaroop written by Bhai Mani Singh Ji, but it only shows the first Ang, and a caption at the bottom stating that RaagMaalaa is present in this Bir. Some people say Akaal Takhat held Randhir Singh in high esteem. Well recently a certain Prakash Badal was also given faqar e quam title.
  5. "where is the proof !!! show me the proof, we need proof or we beleive nothing" - these are helpless woes of those who cant accept the truth...again i reitterate do your research go and ask those singhs in their 60 and 70's who were around at that time they will tell you. Bhai Randhir lost his ability to speak, he became a mute, at the Rag Mala Issue sant samagam the PKJ crapped themselves infront of the Brahmgiani Saints. Yellow cowards like you hiding behind a username and ip address can go on acting like internet warriors
  6. its bed time for you now little baby tomorrow do your research - i speak the truth
  7. Dear Pakhand Europe - Normally Gursikhs believe in Rag Mala because it is written in the Damdami Bir which was given Gurtagaddi at Hazur Sahib. We know what is bani because Baba Deep Singh wrote 4 swaroops from this Bir. I.m afraid i really disagree with those who want to and have tried to print Gurbani Swaroops minus Rag Mala. Those that dont believe Rag Mala is do so because some person/"sant" says so. but noone should dare print/write a saroop without rag mala beacuse this issue is unsolved. Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh wasn't a panthic gursikh and was punished by GuruJi and hence he became a mute, i.e. he lost his ability to speak. So please tell your veers to research about the samagam when all the sants came together (see below) and the sangat requested to the saints that you do ardas and get to the bottom of these british govt liers. Then the Bhai Randheer group accepted that Rag Mala is Gurbani and promised we will no longer spread doubts. When the Saints left soon after they continued their falsehood.

  16. I wish to make two points: 1: "Gursikh weddings" are becoming a grand procession of big ego's. You gotta have all this and all that, a lot of pomp and show. A lot of money being spent. This is setting a bad trend that others feel they have to follow..."oh so and so's wedding was like this, i want mine to be like that aswell". So my suggestion is a simple sato guni marriage. 2. Sharam and dharam go hand in hand - these should be abidied by in a wedding and in the videos produced....initimacy such as having your arm aroung the girls shoulder or hugging. This is not stuff for display in a "gursikh wedding". I also agree with "Chatanga" that a Gurdwara is not a place to be showing around bare chests. This applies to all the sangat not just the jori. I recently went to the Gurdwara and i was about to go home after the bhog of the akhand jaap. Outside i noticed wedding sangat coming in after the milni. One gori had such a small skirt on and bare legs, it was like about one foot long. The gutless committee members didn't have the guts to tell her to become decent or go away.

  18. looks like theres gonna be a big queue at the next amrit sanchar. Bwoy the panj piareh gonna be well busy and they cant have a break aswell, i bet they would be wishing "whens an AKJ amrit sanchar when you need one"
  19. That is so so messed up how can you say that !! Baba Sri Chand had immense bhagti and indeed were Brahmgiani, Baba Buddah Ji were also Brahmgiani but both of these did not attain this avasta at the time of the first Guru but afterwards. Baba Sri Chand failed hopelesly in the tests of his father, though Baba Budda did progress he failed the ultimate test of eating the dead body parsang. But to think Sri Chand was something less than Baba Buddah Ji is a immense immense mistake, both mahapurks crossed the age of 100. Baba Sri Chand were the very form of tapasaya. Sri Chand were the highest saint in India of their time.

  21. A big warning to all dont do anything without serious advice.....did you know too much use of haldi can block your arteries and sit in certain areas of the circulatory system....dont take advice from here.....put haldi on your clothes lets see you wash it off easily. Similarly i can permannetly remain in your body.
  22. In the Dasam Granth when Guru Sahib writes about Chandi's battles he makes references to the the valour of the Nihang foot soldiers aswell.
