  9. thank u malkeet sio for giving a proper reason=) also as i was watchin the movie Saka Sirhand posted here in that it is said that .. when guru sahib sent the letter (zafarnama) to aurngzabh the singhs were dressed as traders...not in bana so lets not pressure people to wear bana or make people feel guilty if they dont wear one ...it should be out of love...if they want to wear it they should. simple clothes is the best choice indeed
  10. If impressing guru was that easy, then all the samagams boys, shastardari singhs, uncles with gentleman uniforms etc etc would be all bhramgyanis by now. hit the nail Namstang lets look at other reasons for a sikh to wear a bana. im sure there are other great reasons to wear bana thn telling someone its to impress the guru.
  11. S-singh1986- got brilliant question and message the quote u have as ur signaturz....has me thinking since day before yesterday... so i take this opportunity to post and ask: WHO ARE U? have u asked that question? what was ur answer? or heck wht is everyones answerr to that? ( sorry for changing the topic but we could start a new thread on this beautiful thought provoking question.) i soo wanna know if we not this body or this mind etc thn who are we? isnt the imaginary self still me? whats the true me? have u found that? =) ur quote is no different thn of Nastangz posts lol but his i understand
  12. ^^^ agrees we were constantly feedin our minds with amazing thoughts ...nd now its more fighting and "IM RIGHT" kinda thing goin on... need to start reading more of our hist and bani again
  13. i know luv it hurts. sometimes a lot! but know that everything that happens in life happns for a reason and makes us stronger. as many would say...see what u learn from each experience..it helps us grow hana? hope ur feeling better much luv wjkk wjkf!
  14. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh!!! to the panji.. seek out those who can help=( not everyone can help or know how to help..its the fact of life. thats why we dont have everyone as social workers, psychologists or doc...everyones different and have different personality/skills. Amritdharis r tryin to live up to the standards of being a khalsa. we in the school and not yet have become the ONE! the true ones! those r very rare. forgive the ones who lets u down, because thats what we need to do. the thing is,...i might sound very rude and heartless person, but can u forgive them for not being able to help u? isnt that what khalsa does? a gursikh forgives. now u know that they cant help u yet accept it and find out who really can. its hard to sometimes put one in the shoes of other nd try to help.think about them in that sense. we are human in ideal world everyone would be able to help in every situation, but if u look at the world its not like that. what do u need help with? what is going on? bhul chuk muaff karni maybe if the situation is explained well ...u could be helpd by the ones who can. God bless! waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh!
  15. ~vaheguru.. may guru sahib bless us with such big hearts and understanding thanks pheena ji for posting beautiful soul's words. wjkk wjkf!
  16. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh if u haven't alread read this/signd it please do so ASAP! read on and sign it. i thought someone might have posted it here but seems like no one has.. please take few mins to sign this imp petition Akal sahai! from Avaaz.com: Dear fellow American, I'm writing from Bali, Indonesia. It's hot here, it's humid--and it's infuriating. Our government is blocking progress at the all-important climate change negotiations here, even though it knows that the American people don't support its actions. Let's tell the world that the Bush administration doesn't represent us. Sign this petition now: http://www.avaaz.org/en/please_ignore_bush/3.php Most countries here at Bali are working urgently to craft a treaty capable of tackling the climate crisis. Everyone understands the stakes, and negotiators are working late--when I left the conference center at 10:30pm tonight, they were showing no signs of slowing. The key debate is whether developed countries should pledge to cut their climate change emissions by 25-40% by 2020--a step the scientists of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change say could avert worst ravages of global warming. Nearly every country supports these cuts. But not the Bush administration. In a press conference yesterday, Bush's delegates here tried to raise doubts about the credibility of the IPCC scientists (who just shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore). Bush's top negotiator called the proposed cuts in carbon emissions "totally unrealistic." And Bush's representatives have repeatedly denounced the Kyoto Protocol--even in the midst of the Kyoto Protocol's ten-year anniversary celebrations. And they're doing it in our name. Every few hours, the agreement here changes--one moment, the carbon cuts are in; the next moment, the cuts are out. Before the talks end this Friday, we can signal to the world that the American people are on their side--and encourage them to stand up to Bush's team by keeping the cuts in the treaty. Join me in signing this petition, and I'll make sure it reaches the key delegations here. It reads, in full: Dear world: please ignore President Bush. He doesn't represent us. http://www.avaaz.org/en/please_ignore_bush/3.php Together, we can send the world a message--a message of hope, a message that change is coming, a message that the Bush administration's actions are out of step with the American people, and that Americans take our global responsibilities seriously even if our own government doesn't. Most Americans, like most people everywhere, don't want catastrophic climate change. Most Americans, like most people everywhere, want leaders to work together to forge a strong agreement that can ensure a livable planet for our children and grandchildren. Most Americans don't have an official representative here. So let's represent ourselves. Please do sign this petition, and send it to your friends. http://www.avaaz.org/en/please_ignore_bush/3.php With hope, Ben Wikler Avaaz.org _______________________________ [-525.848459-] ABOUT AVAAZ Avaaz.org is an independent, not-for-profit global campaigning organization that works to ensure that the views and values of the world's people inform global decision-making.
