  1. So there have been many animals created by man like cross breading dogs, creating Liger/Tigion and the infamous Japanese killer bees, the liger/tigion are more or less nothing to fear as they can not reproduce, however these killer bees just destroy any hive they come across. I was just thinking how does Waheguru fits into this, strange thoughts I know, manipulation of maya good or bad ? We seem to love messing up the cosmic dance.
  2. Do you guys feed animals/birds in your gardens and other places. A lot of older generation punjabis do this in india and and the UK. It's important to do that if you dont already. It's like a dhaan. Just buy seeds, and throw them on the roof in your garden, birds eventually get into the habit of visiting your house and become familiar with it. It's really good to do that. Even bread! Just break it into small pieces and throw it into your roof. If you dont have a flat roof then use bird table or those hanging bird feeder things.
  3. Amazing man. Not everyone can create this kind of relationship with animals. Guru Har Rai sahib ji used to do this ? Guru Har Rai sahib ji loved animals and nature and he planted many trees. There is a sakhi of how when guru ji was a boy and playing in the garden his chola got stuck in a rose and its petals fell off, seeing how his chola had broken the rose guru sahib got very upset that's how close guru sahib was with nature. When he told guru Hargobind sahib ji his grandfather guru Hargobind Sahib ji told him to always be careful around nature and to carry his chola better.
  4. I've always wondered whats sikhi position on cloning animals and eventually humans? https://abcnews.go.com/Technology/photos/cloned-animals-dogs-cats-sheep-15300838/image-15301105 I would think its neither for or against it but i may be wrong. Please post your thoughts.
  5. VJKK VJKF I have an question about dead animals. In my biology class, next friday, we will study the anatomy of a squid, which we will do by cutting a dead one open. These squids have been caught accidently while fishing by profesional fishers who give every unneeded animal caught in their nets to schools for study. In short: is it okay to study animals by cutting a dead one open?(when the animal was not killed to study it) Many thanks
  6. waheguru is in every living thing and soul- mahraj jis hukam is that we shouldn't eat animals but plants also contain life and a soul so why can we eat that? Can anyone give insight to this please
  7. So i know its an animals instinct to hunt for food. However when another animal is ripping open another animal in front of your eyes, or even when two animals are fighting what should a Sikh do? should we leave them to it, because its what they do. Or should we intervene and scare them away?
  8. VJKK VJKF Is it ok for us to do dissections as Amritdhari's? I'm in high school at the moment and I'm planning on going into science so I'll be seeing them a lot. Should I just stand to the side and watch or is it fine to take part? Bhul Chuk Maaf VJKK VJKF
