Guest baba amarjeet singh

i think in the last tuk you gave, veechar of shabad could also be interpreted as to do veechar of naam as in to jap naam.

I think the whole basis of this purity/ non purity thing, is that everything is impure without naam

Which is why it is important to jap as much naam as possible

where maharaaj does and does not reside

interesting point

hyrau Git Git sgl kY pUir rhy Bgvwn ]

haero ghatt ghatt sugul kai poor rehae bhuguvaan

Behold! The Lord God is totally pervading each and every heart.

Forever and ever, the Guru's wisdom has been the Destroyer of pain.

Quieting the ego, ecstasy is obtained. Where the ego does not exist, God Himself is there.

The pain of birth and death is removed, by the power of the Society of the Saints.

He becomes kind to those who lovingly enshrine the Name of the Merciful Lord within their hearts, in the Society of the Saints.

In this world, no one accomplishes anything by himself.

nwnk sBu kCu pRB qy hUAw ]51]

naanuk subh kush prubh thae hooaa

O Nanak, everything is done by God. ||51||

The above shabad says tht maharaaj is in each and every1 of us but also says tht where ego does NOT exist tht is where maharaaj is. Therefore where ego is present maharaaj is not?

similary in the below tuk

hau mY krI qW qU nwhI qU hovih hau nwih ]

ho mai kuree thaa thoo naahee thoo hovehi ho naahi

When one acts in egotism, then You are not there, Lord. Wherever You are, there is no ego.

and when we make food/eat it is especially important to jap naam as below quote shows

this vin sabh apavithra hai jaethaa painan khaan ||

Without Him, all that we wear and eat is impure.

bin boojhae thoo(n) sadhaa naapaak ||4||

Without understanding, you shall be forever impure.

without HIM (his NAAM) all we eat is impure

it is only by maharaaj's apaaar kirpa we can even think about understanding guru granth sahib jee

guru jee is beyond comprehension to all but those very rare gurmukhs

good post

No this line from Gurbani means to do vichaar of Bruhm giaan the true Strory of god. Also known as Ackat Katah, Har ki Katah

Until you dont understand this vichaar you will not find salvation.

kirtan sohala

Jisai Jigai Piavai Iho Raas Ackat Katah Jin Jani

The one that God awakes will experiences this Raas as he is awaken trough the story of God.

Ackat means the unseen

Ackat katah is explaining the unseen. Example Brhum Jot, Unhadh Bani, Har Raas and so on

Hope this helped
