First of all i want 2 say i'm sorry if by asking for advice on this topic i have offended anyone. I am really misguided and shamed right now and need help on what to do. please dnt abandon me as i feel i have made a very big mistake. I recently started university and got to meet a lot of new and different people. I have uncut hair and beard all my life and all my life i have followed sikhi to my understanding, going gurdwara and helping out, not drinking alcohol and eating meat. Wjkk Wjkf Dear sangat jee, I was talking to someone earlier about something and they mentioned that it's easier for a young child to set their mind on God than it is for like a 50-year-old because the child is the closest to God because they're younger. And a baby remembers God more than anyone because their younger right..? For an older person like a 50-year-old it's harder, becaue they've been through more life, and their mind is full of more things and stuff.So like I dunno. I'm against that. does any member of sangat know if there is any Gurdwara in Wolverhampton that has Amrit Vela Simran? i have been to sedgley st but they start wit Parkaash and straight onto nitnem bania. sukhmani sahib, asa ki vaar, ardaas, katha also i would have presumed that for a gurdwara of this size (terms of sangat population) there were more people at amritvela? is there anyone from wolverhampton who would be interested in starting simran sessions in the morning? perhaps approaching the committees? please share your views

recently i went to the gurdwara and i saw a man doing his matha tek...but then he turned around and did like a little parnaam sort of thing to the sangat on both sides...if you get what i mean ..? ..its just that i never seen that before..does anyone know why they do that???

Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -
