This is false. Deepa was a Singh when he joined the movement. He cut his kesh a few years later once his notoriety had grown in order to avoid arrest. I don't condone cutting kesh under any circumstances, and I think Jinda, Sukha and Deepa were wrong to do so (having said that, I still respect them and their contributions ... they are quami shaheeds) On the other hand, I strongly dislike monay rewriting history and pretending that a substantial percentage of kharkoos came from their ranks. So the record should be set straight. Most "mona" kharkoos were originally singhs disguising themselves to avoid capture. They were not people who were normally monay and they did not come from the mona community.

However, one thought If shaheed singhs can take physical saroop and appear to according to hukam, then hukam could make sant jarnail singh reappear to whole world. My opinion is Sant JI is shaheed, but will come back. But, I am just manmukh. Wassan Singh Zaffarwal, Baljit Singh KCF, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji BTFK all declared the Sant to be a Shaheed. The question arises that are our jujharoo shahids liars then? Let us use our brains for once.

Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda & Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sukha were not Amritdhari from day one. When they cut their Kes to carry out the Seva they actually cried because they felt really bad for doing so. When they were in Jail, they grew their Kes and begged for Amrit. However, they never received Amrit, but were told by Baba Thakur Singh Ji "no government or power in this world can prevent you from receiving the gift of Amrit. Baba Ji then said that, the king of kings, the saint of saints, that beautiful king of this world and the next Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj would give these two Singhs Amrit personally hereafter." Some people are very anti Kharkhoo Singh because they think the Singhs were too much into siphai part but not the sant part of Sikhi. These two amazing souls had a nitnem of 16-18 hours long. It is said that they were reading 11 Sukhmani Sahib, 25 Japji Sahib and 7 Bania (Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tav Prasaad Savaiya Sahib, Chaupee Sahib, Anand Sahib, Rehraas Sahib and Kirtan Sohila Sahib) daily!!!
