Veer ji, again here, you havent got my point, i guess most of the sangat here is younger to me, i never said this thing to anybody else....why (just think)....if u want me to say, soggs ji is a great scholar, i dont feel anything in saying that, but again, try to hold the nerve. He has given an awesome post. And this forum is to learn sikhi and to share what we have, so SOGGS ji please dont worry about space.

Well, i didnt want this, but i guess i have to say.. SOGGS ji, actually problem is with you, you want everyone to swing with what u say. And if somebody is disagree with you, you behave like this only, its not with me but i have seen you many times. Secondly, obviously, there is no point in arguing with you, as i came to know what your approach is. Thirdly, i should not say this, but i have to, you are amritdhari, just introspect yourself how much nimarta you have in you. It reflects in each of your post and specially the last one. Fourthly, i'm not keen in arguing with you, coz i guess you are still 18 and i'm 23..so there is a difference of age and it doesnt suit me to argue with you. Fifth, dont get so much angry when someone say something different then you. Sixth, check the meaning of sarcasm in dictionary, i guess what you are doing is that only. Sadh Sangat ji, i'm the most moorakh person over here, and i didnt want this, but couldnt control myself in writing all this. I just joined here to share what i think, and to gain the knowledge everyone of u have. But Rochak veer ji, is rite, before doing anything, or pointing towards anyone, we have to check ourself. I really dont understand, y u have to look at the picture of guru to remember point 1 and 2. Why you have to listen to gurbani to remember points 1 and 2. I guess, if u remember points 1 and 2, you will listen to gurbani. Guru is inside us, atleast i dont have to look at his pic (though we sikhs are not supposed to believe in these pics) to remember him. veer ji, if that is the case, it doesnt make any sense to me coz, guru is watching us and is around us every single second, so if u would have said...."GURU IS WATCHING US AND IS AROUND US ALL THE TIME" it would have been better. u mean to read bani from Guru Granth Sahib is our final aim ....or to walk on the path enlighted by Guru Granth Sahib's bani Veer ji, u mentioned u are doing nitnem for last 3 years, , but this moorakh is doing nitnem since i was 7 or 8, now i'm 23, even i havent reached that spiritual level till now, do i read sikh history again or read life of bhagats again....or am i ready to read from Guru Granth Sahib ji? Veer ji, if i jump into an ocean of knowledge by my guru, i'm sure i will be at the safest place, coz my guru wont leave me alone there, but not only guide me but also help me in swimming there. veer ji, your doubt is abs. valid, and i agree with that. But again, difference will be in meat and alcohol. Again..arguments could be forwarded, saying....meat is allowed.. so i do understand your concern but..again we'll land up in controversies!

Great post i was waiting if someone write this.... i wonder which one will be more worse... 1) A butcher who still try to earn honest living though he has pic of guru nanak there... 2) A soldier with pic of guru nanak in his wallet..killing another soldier (of other country) 3) A amritdhari sikh, who cheats, always lie, has no nimarta Butcher is butcher by his profession....and ofcourse Jassika ji in her last post made a valid doubt Its easy to c, someone doing crime in front of cop, aaaaaaaaw that means...our cop is pic of guru nanak i wonder again, what u mean.....either to dive in ocean without completing 12 grades..out of them one is no idol worship... isnt it? I dont agree, we are not completely digressing.... if i have to ask these questions..should i start new thread??? obviously not ji, topic'z heading says SGGS ji..........u have to be amritdhari to "READ" i dont c anything which says..to keep translations in above haeding and above all, if some of my monaa friend come to me and ask i want to explore your sikhi, i want to understand teachings of sikhi, i should know the sources..or i'll say....veer even i have to do that..lets start together....and lemme ask if any of us can read from Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhul Chuk Maaf

Good discussion going on... I have one doubt, As Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is the jot of 10 patshaahi, sggs ji is our guru... But if a moorakh like me, who is not amritdhari, wants to go to his guru, for the enlightment of path to be followed, am i not allowed to?? If i'm not allowed to do so, what are the sources which will enlight my path and will correct me....... May be again i'm wrong here, but lets say a non sikh wants to be sikh, what will be his source of inspiration???......just giyani'z of gurudwara or moorakh like me?? Or yeah, he or she can browse through the internet to get the required knowledge, but this is present... what in the past, when there was no internet? daas seeks maafi if offended someone...just my opinion

Absolutely rite veer ji Even i noticed the same at Gurudwara Nada Sahib, and even something more, Once i went to Nada Sahib and went upstairs, where all Akhand Paths are being done, it was 8 in the morning, i saw one pai ji taking a nap, his head was about to touch Guru Granth Sahib I was confused at that time, thought if i wake him up, pai ji ne mere gal peh jaana (as typical pai ji'z)...jeh na uthava tavi theek nahi.. So i went down and told to Head Granthi, and they took me upstairs as if they gonna screw me if i was wrong Thank god pai ji was sleeping ( nahi ta meri kutai ho jaani si)...and they awaked him up..but i ran from there ( i guess u know y)... Sorry to digress from topic and taking it lightly, but Balwinder veer ji is rite, even i dont c any point in doing mass Akhand Paths, when no body is listening or even u r not sure...if pai ji'z are doing that properly or not :T: Bhul Chuk Maaf
