  1. i found this on wikipidia in the article about Khalistan. i was just woundering if what its says about rss and BJP standing up for sikhs during the 1984 pogroms are true. from khalistan movement article, wikipedia On the morning of 31 October 1984, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was shot-dead by two Sikh security guards in New Delhi. The assassination triggered fulminant violence against Sikhs across north India. While the ruling party, Congress(I), maintained that the violence was due to spontaneous riots, its critics have alleged that the Congress members had planned a progom against the Sikhs. Its critics alleged that State-operated national television was used by the state to incite violence against the Sikhs, in violation of the Article 20.2 of the ICCPR and the Article 7 of the UDHR. Sixteen politicians were named as organisers of the riots. Many senior Congress leader were also indicted. The anti-Congress Indian parties, such as the Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemned the riots.[29] During the riots, some Hindus protected Sikhs, particularly those of Hindutva background. The Sikh author Khushwant Singh stated: "It was the Congress leaders who instigated mobs in 1984 and got more than 3000 people killed. I must give due credit to RSS and the BJP for showing courage and protecting helpless Sikhs during those difficult days. No less a person than Atal Bihari Vajpayee himself intervened at a couple of places to help poor taxi drivers."[30] Two major civil-liberties organisations issued a joint report on the anti-Sikh riots naming sixteen important politicians, thirteen police officers and one hundred and ninety-eight others, accused by survivors and eye-witnesses.[31] In January 1985, journalist Rahul Bedi of the Indian Express and Smitu Kothari of the People's Union for Civil Liberties “moved the High Court of Delhi to demand a judicial inquiry into the pogrom on the strength of the documentation carried out by human rights organizations
  2. isnt the law of karma waheguru's hukam?
  3. he probably didnt kill any body with his own hand. he was too valuable to the movement to risk getting caught. but just because it wasnt his hand doesnt mean he wasnt responsible. i know this is a horrible analagy but did hitler ever kill anyone? probably not yet people say he killed millions.
  4. what exactly idefines a jatt? race, caste, type of person?
  5. its gatka people just like calling it shastar vidiya ever since niddar popularized that term. gatka is fundamentaly different than what is called shastar vidiya. gatka is more for show and to inspire but it also helps develope speed and reflexes, shastar vidiya is more of a system specifically made for dispatching opponents in the most efficient way possible but both are pretty cool and should be learnt and practised.
  6. Yet it bewilders me, how some of us continue to point fingers at Fidel as if he is an evil man, with the evil intentions of ridding his people of poverty and illiteracy, from which they must escape to the shores of Miami to work for below minimum wage in aspiration of a PLASMA TV, instead of Community harmony and collective progression. the people who work minimum wage are probly better off in miami than in cuba where everyone makes minimum wage no matter what job they have unless they cater to foriegners (prostitutes and cab drivers). its comendeble that castro wants the best for his people and stands up to foreign powers trying to exploit his country( actually thats not true cuba was russia's lapdog and it hurt his country very much). but as time has proven again and again strict communism is not best for the people, certain forms of democratic socialism can work but even socialist countries like france are starting to become more capitalistic because the socialism isnt working anymore and there economy is becoming bad. when everything is so closely monitered it stiffles inovation and ambitions and inovation and ambitions makes jobs which inturn stimulate the economy so that it is better for all parties. ask any former communist countries. im not a believer in total free markets i think that they should operate under the rule of law and bad business practice should bebrought to justice, but having monitered free markets do the best for all people hince if castro really wanted to do the best for his people he would make reforms. but instead he is to proud to admit that he has made some mistakes (and so is america) so the situation remains the same. and his government remains popular because its propaganda about standing up to the west and doing the best for the people, so people start believing it and don't question why they have to spend most of their day waiting in line for basic commodities. perhaps his brother can makes reforms that will benifit his people more, and hopefully those reforms don't involve the imf and/or the wto.
  7. does any one know the history of the other takhts. were there anyothers besides akal takht and keshgarh that were around during guru's time and how did sangat decide on what to call a takht
  8. we only have rights to the lands we occupy with a majority. khalistan would begreat but i think a modern stable and developed subcontenent(india & pakistan) which isnt divided on the basis of religion whould be best
  9. Khalistan - Only to achieve by force and weapons. And for that we need manpower. And for that we'ill need parchar (to get sikh manpower).. thus have plenty of kids. if we have enough numbers it doesnt have to be violent.
  10. pss che was from Argentina not bolivia what was the polemic of the documentary you watched about che cuz i watched one that was pretty unbiased about castro and it said that him and che had some friction when they were both in the cuban government and thisled to che leaving
  11. i hate the patriot act, its a piece or crap. but you know what i can say anything i want about the patriot act and i will not be thrown in jail or killed by firing squad like many dissidents in cuba have been. have thousands of people not been killed and/or jailed by castros government because they did not support castro? have thousands of people not died trying to escape from cuba? answer these questions truthfull and dont say something like "america has killed hundreds too" because this isnt about how bad america is its about how bad castro is. and for the record i do hope america does lift the embargo on cuba it would be benificial to both countries, its rediculas that america trades with china and not cuba. but the problem is the ex cuban voting block is to powerful. ps i love your cheer squad
  12. the best thing one can personally do for khalistan is to raise your sikhi. get married and have at least 6-8 kids. and raise those kids to be good sikhs.
  13. His association of the Che Guevera puts him in good company. Castro didnt want Che in cuba any more because he was too powerful a personality that he threatened Castros power. so Castro sent him to Bolivia and stopped sending him support, and that is were he died, after Che's death Castro made him a national hero. its easy to make these characters into hero's but is it really right to take away the personal freedoms of others as castro did in cuba. if any one says anything against Castro they are thown in jail! yes cubas health care system is alright (the popualtions health is on par with the USA) but thats only cuz the doctors arnt aloud to leave the country but they would if they could. taxi drivers are one of the most coveted jobs there because they drive for foreigners same with prostitution. would anybody on this forum honestly want to live in cuba instead of the us, uk, or canada?
  14. 2. We, as Sikhs of the guru, never run from the battlefield. its more important to know when to run!
  15. hey iv thought of that too they also tend to be more religious in the country (both punjab and the states) too
  16. transforming sexual feelings... what are you supposed to do with sexual feelings?!
  17. Stipends on food, ensure equal distribution too all citizens. Atleast everyone eats, we couldn't say the same about america, canada, or england now could we? um, yes in america everyone has the right to food, there are food stamps and wellfare. people don't starve to death here. yes america has faults but show me one country that doesnt! why do people who live in canada go to america for specialized medical care? one of cuba's biggest professions is prostitution i bet you didnt know that. the best way to improve peoples live is to improve the econemy which gives people the ability to improve there own lives! not by making them dependant on the government for scraps its easy to say the west is wrong when your living off of its success, tell it to the cubans who drown every year trying to get out of cuba
  18. The rebels say they represent the rights of landless farmhands and tribal communities. thats great that they claim to stand up for the poor, so did mao and he killed millions in china, and now look at the country the poor people are slaves to the government. groups like this will just doom there region to perpetual poverty because no one wants to invest there. but i guess thats the plan the poorer the people the more recruits they will have.
  19. yeah i probably shuda edited out the sardar part. the joke is making fun of the punjab police who killed thousands of innocent sikhs back in the 80s and 90s probably after treating them like the bear in the joke. you gotta admit its pretty funny
  20. Three police squads , The Scotland Yard police , The NY Police and the Punjab Sardar brigade contest for the best police force ward . The judges lead them to the Gir forest of India and assign them the mission . He who captures an adult LIon and brings it back alive in the fastest time will be adjudged the best . First Scotland yard goes into the forest and comes back in half an hour with a Lion all tied up . Then the NY police go in and come back in 15 minutes with a tied up lion . Lastly the sardar brigade goes in . 15 minutes , half an hour , one hour goes and no sign of our saradrjis .The judges give up and decide to search for them . They go into the forest . After some searching , they find the sardarjis all excitedly yelling near a tree . The sardarjis have tied up a big bear to a tree and one of them is shouting , "Bol tu sher Hai ! Saala Bol ! tu Sher Hai !! " (Admit that you are a lion! You @#$%@! You are a lion
  21. forget about a crummy little portion of punjab. lets have the world the only way there will ever be a khalistan is if we start reproducing like catholics :D and if more people adopt sikhi
  22. europeans are weird but that being said you are to sensitive just grow a pair and learn to enjoy other peoples cultures :D
  23. so god can only be relized if he gives you that blessing
  24. the army does not have any agenda. its the polititions who make the policy!! firstly i dont support the war in iraq i think it was one of the biggest avoidable mistakes (and it wasnt a mistake) in history. the polititions are not controlled by the army its the other way around. but the army can be a very good experience regardless of your politics. if you pay taxes and shop, and drive a car than you are contributing just as much as any one in the army is to the "racist agenda". the real fault lies on the public who actually beleive the propaganda and vote for the maitstream parties. the best way to stop jihadists is to not alianate the whole muslim population of the world and then prove all of bin ladens proganda to be true, but people dont actually understand the "enemy". i think coming from a comunity that has had its own extremism its easier for us to understand other movements in a less us vs them way. just as blue star enraged the sikhs and greatly expanded the insurgincy in punjab so will iraq except this is worldwide and the muslims are 1 billion strong. if we were only upsetting 2% of the global popultion than kps gill tactics might actually work but that said i hold nothing against the army its the people who profit that worry me.
  25. if you really want to make change in your country people will be more inclined to listen to you if you have actually served your country. yes there are other ways to serve your country but the army usually get more repect because in the army you are willing to risk your life for the country. there are cases of soldiers in the army abusing people but the army is a huge organization and it does not condone misconduct and the only reason we know anything about rapes is because the army actually prosecutes those involved. only a small amount of soldiers are actually in combat jobs anyway. but if you don't serve your country and escpecially if your part of a minority immigrant comunity your average citizen will tell you to go back to whare you cam from instead of trying to change a place you havent sacraficed anything for. it goes the sameway for white people. civilians listen to veterens more than they do "whinny liberals" who havent served. ps you UK sikhs are very lucky to have an armed service that actually allows you to practice sikhi.
