All I have to say is, a few people certainly hate dalSingh101. Interesting title you have chosen. I would say that in isolated cases like these, it's most likely the the person involved has an abnormality in his brain. Almost every single habit/though etc you have can be traced to the brain. I'm no scientist but it looks like the prefrontal cortex area of his brain was next to dead leading up to the event.

I stand corrected, it's been so long since I have done desktop applications in Java. Back in University when I built desktop apps in Java, we used Swing and I remember using the layouts which took care of the placement and sizing of all components for me. It was dead simple. Here is how I think of the issue.If I recite till only 'jap' and mool mantr really is uptil 'nanak hosi bhi sach' then I'm missing out in a big way. On the other hand, if I recite till 'nanak hosi bhi sach' and mool mantr is uptil 'jap' then I'm reciting full mool mantr and 1 pauri of Jap Ji Sahib. Simple logic will tell you that reciting till 'nanak hosi bhi sach' makes more sense, if anything, then you will be doing abhyaas of mool mantr + first pauri of jap ji sahib.

Java Swing offers many layout plugins which take care of the sizing and placement issues for you. I would have to disagree with the advice to starve yourself if you miss amritvela. While that may work for some, but the general population, if you do that, you will likely be even more tired the next day which will make it waking up early even tougher.
