  1. listen to the katha by Giani Thakur Singh of Atam Gian from the beginning. everything is answered in there
  2. good point made my taksali singh...i didnt think of that...maybe the topic starter could change that word to something else k_z is right that this topic is changing from what it became...someone asked about naam drirhta, and i gave him an answer from my understanding like others have done, which is part of the topic... the untruthfull comment made by rsingh was uncalled for. he knows very well what my views are on that subject, so i dont know why he is lying on this forum..may it was a political tactic or it was a simple mistake by rsingh...but if he does want to discuss the past maybe he can contact me personally and i can remind of some comments that he has made in the past. the next REINSABAI is: Oct 18 2008 Raensabaayee Keertan 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM Singh Sabha Guruduara Sahib, Derby Princess St, Derby, DE23 8NT - 300 years of Gurgaddi Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee - Bh. Satnam Singh (Derby) Phone: +447852252462 Bh. Baljit Singh (Derby) Phone: +447795545475

  9. it was a very good programme. loads of sangat. i didnt hear or see people saying negative things about swami ji, but if the did then thats very sad. Swami did excellent katha and then got the wholw sangat to do naam abiyaas as describe by jagmeet...it felt that the whole sangat was concentating on the naam abiyaas. which we need to more of in sangat roop

  15. I have had the privledge to speak to Giani Kulwant Singh Ji at some lenght on several points of gurmat. I have never been so shocked at their responses and their knowledge and avastha. I had persumed there would just be another political muppet on the jathedar soapbox. THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE WAS TRUE. They are a puran gursikh who just ooze naam and gursikhi. They have nothing but pure pyaar and devotion towards Guruji, the type that makes you feel at peace while sitting in their company. I second that point in bold. i had the opportunity to go to Sach Khand Hajoor Sahib and also meet Singh Sahib Kulwant Singh. When you sit next to him, then you know the devotion and piaar he has for Maharaj and the Guru's sangat.
  16. what kind of sarangi is it? is it from classical kirtan or dhadi?
  17. lolllll - nice one Blingh  ... Apologies to the Cov sangat, for not taking them into consideration when planning these programs. From next month onwards, hopefully we can move the programs to another week of the month. So, hopefully after all the passionate views expressed made by Maha singh, Tarrandeep Kaur and Kaur91, you guys will be able to attend the Leicester programs too - hope to see you at next months program Pul Chuk Maaf im not so good with geography, so i checked on google maps, cov and leicester are 25 miles away from each other, thats around 35-40 mins drive there and 35-40 mins back, 50 miles altogether and 1 hour, 20 mins traveling. I dont think its such a bad thing 2 have 2 progs in different towns and cities. As Sikhs we should reduce the amount of pollution with using cars, so sangat that live in leicester, can save money and petrol (as prices are increasing everday) and also save time, as spending more time in Kirtan, with sangat and Guru Ji, rather then traveling, does work out more beneficial! Its no biggie having 2 progs! Quality is better then Quantity! Fateh everyone. this thread has been really funny. lol. theres another big clash which happening, which is even bigger then this one. there's an akhand paath happening at my local gurdwara, and i believe theres akhand paaths happening in gurdware in cov, bham, lesta, london, oh yea and the rest of the uk at the same time on the same dates. im sure that will split the sangat up and it will make ppl think where to go. i believe the lesta monthly programmes are happening because lesta sangat wants it to happen. lol. i dont see how it will divide the sangat. lol .... as jagmeet said, petrol prices are really high. personally i would go to the programme which is near to me...(which is cov) if lesta do do there next programme on 2nd saturday or something, im sure the ppl who complained about the clash will be happy to attend. see u at lesta next month maha sengh. may be you can do kirtan there, as u do have a sweet voice
  18. u never know...ppl from abroad might just turn up...
