Please forgive me if i have offended or hurt your feelings as this was not my intention, i made that remark from what i picked up from the video and it was my perception, as for being able to tell the difference as luckysingh ji has said it is the same as how we are picked out as being from baar or valethiyeh etc etc in india. N30Singh ji, I respect your views but its a minority rather than a majority, it looks mainly like singhs and their families who have migrated to the uk and not born in the uk, having watched the video the police were wearing shoes in a corridor and not in the darbar sahib as was being implied (at least that what it looks like to me), I dont know the full story but the op sounds very sincere in his post. I do not know the reasons behind why these brothers and sisters are upset with the committee but may peaceful dialogue would have been better than videos and calling the police, seems our egos are the real problems here.

Thank you to the mod veers for removing jashb's rude post, and i have edited my posts in the interest of ekta as requested by uklondonsikh veer. personal verbal attacks are a weakness of intellect and dialogue and only show the person making such attacks has reached their limit and lost the debate. :biggrin2:

I innocently mentioned about another event taking place and it was not do divide or divert attention away from any other event, I pray Guru ji will give us more sense in future, i will attend the remembrance march in june and i will continue to support other such events, i am an amritdhari and i will also continue to stand with my non amritdhari / moneh veer too, who sometimes show more respect for sikhi than us . you are clearly referring to moneh / non amritdhari sikh brothers and sisters, with you comments below (which will only divide us)!! anyone can change i too was a mona previously but try to help my veers to come into sikh. And was not all the marching rallying and tv channels etc to bring awareness to the people which is what has happened hence now more people are trying to do something positive , i thank you for bringing your thoughts to mine and everyone else's attention .

Some support sikh channel (gurnam5), others like jagtarsinghkhalsa support their organisations and jasb not sure, but some like myself are ordinary sikhs who dont want to score points for any particular organisation. So what the problem is between these organisations most of us dont really care anymore, someone posts about an event taking place and is being questioned about did it make us proud or ashamed and another is now saying make your minds up one or two events, what the hell, i am not in any of these organisation neither do i intend to be, so do as you please children. When an ordinary sikh like Gurbaksh singh ji comes out of the blue and make a difference it proves that some of these groups that are allegedly leading the way are clearly not and are a waste of time !!

clearly you are a supporter of sangat tv from your previous posts (post 72), i dont have more support for any one of the three channels neither am i connected to any of these channels, i merely posted what i watched on sikh channel the other night. Now to answer your question whether there was only 50 or 500, we should be commending who ever turned up (not myself), their should be no shame in this and pride (ahankar) is not a concept of sikhi, it may have been badly organised and the timing wrong with it being new years eve but the intentions were good. my question to you is are you trying to say it has brought shame to us because of the turnout of people or are you a supporter of sangat tv trying score points against sikh channel, which would not surprise me as sangat tv does to some very childish acts like turning of sound when another channel is mentioned at smagam by some speaker. I dont have the time or energy for a channel or the supporters of a channel who behave like kids and until they grow up, i will not support them. It has brought me no shame or made me proud, but anyone who stands for a just cause gets my respect !!

I suppose it depends on the individual body, i eat all those things too but i have lost a few pounds around my stomach mainly but not so much any where else, which is just perfect, i think the processed meats etc are the worst thing one can eat and alcohol also i have cut down on chocolate to especially after my evening meal instead i have a bar of chocolate in the afternoon occasionally.

Agreed after taking amrit and eating no more meat etc, i too noticed the loss of weight and reduction in my stomach size, also i noticed food seem to get digested a lot quicker as in stomach not full or bloated as long as before. best thing i ever did taking amrit and i thoroughly recommend it, go on what are you waiting for ! :biggrin2:

There is a gathering outside the indian high commission tonight (Dec 31st 2013) in london 5pm to 7pm, i believe and which was reported on sikh channel last night (call sikh channel before you head off to confirm), balloons being released to start the commemoration of the thirtieth year of the 1984 events / hollocaust.

it depends on you, personally i lived in bc canada for a while but did not like the divide between earlier very westernized settled sikhs (if you can call them that now) and the recent new arrivals, which i found a bit sad plus other reasons, but dont want to get into my country is better than yours argument. We are friendly in the uk it depends how you approach people, so the people not being as polite is bs, we are not fake and keep saying things like "you have a nice day" we are a bit reserved but that is not due to arrogance but more the fact that we do not wish to offend, but you will get rude people were ever you go. If you come over loud and arrogant (like some canadians/americans) most people will walk away dont need the earache lol, a big turn off is if you were to keep comparing the two countries in front of people. eg. recently i attended a wedding between a uk born apna and an american born apne here in the uk and at the reception when ever the states or california was mention the americans went into frenzies of howling and arm waving, which we over here (uk) just dont do and found rather amusing if not a bit childish and arrogant, so you walk in the opposite direction when this happens lol. it does snow here but no where near the extremes in canada or as much (which suits me canadians can keep the snow lol). as for it being dirtier, well most cities and towns are much older than most canadian towns and cities and there is and has been a lot of regeneration work going on. Personally i would not live anywhere else in the western world and definitely not in the american continent again. Canada is a beautiful country but so is the uk if you travel out of the cities,(lake district pennines etc). So please dont be put off and come with an open mind.

Of course they do, lets not forget the british are just as devious as the congress/ hindu governments and the mughals/ muslims were/are, we bare no enmity to any religion, but history should have taught the sikhs by now that we dont have many if any political friends either. The atrocities committed by the british during their rule in india are second to none. That is why we should not have fallen for this political lie that sikhs and hindus are brothers in 1947, the only brothers are the ones who stand with the truth and against tyranny. We always seem to underplay the treachery of the (hindu) hill rajas and gangu brahman and chandu and the british at jallian wala bagh etc and seem to emphasize on the mughals who were evil but so were the others !!

When you invite fools what do you expect, would have been more respectful if they had invited some poor garib to this and given them some honour and respect , which would have been more in line with our Guru jis teachings instead of these malech (barbarians). But unfortunately our blind parbandakhs have lost the plot and allow these people to make a mockery of our great religion.

Agree with jonny101, its easy to talk with big stomachs full of parshadeh, when the critics can do anything useful for the panth then they can talk, otherwise consider them nothing but hot air and wind, its best to ignore these namards. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh ji does no have to answer to any of these traitors because he has Guru Maharaj ji and the Khalsa Panth with him, how else did he survive for so long with out food ? We should be standing with the Khalsa Panth and Bhai Sahib ji 100% and not pointing fingers or arguing amongst ourselves its time to unite and show solidarity.

lets ignore the Gurus and the fact that amrit is very important for a sikh and just make it up as we go along, real truth seekers what's that then ? not another new dera and a nakli baba :biggrin2: There are some very sincere moneh and amritdharis and they are not idiots and no a true amritdhari is not the same as a sincere mona or truth seeker (whatever that is), so stop making it up as you go along, listen to the katha of bhai Dalla and what Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj said to him or do you have more knowledge about these things than the 10th lord ??

Sant Jarnail Singh ji Bhindrawale Mahapurkh said we are not vak vadis (separatists), but the day they the indian government attack Darbar Sahib the foundation for khalistan will be laid, and that is what happened as we all know, So to my way of thinking we ceased to be indians or hindustanis from that day forth, not that we hate the ordinary man / hindu in the street or the land it self after all we are part of it and it is where our Gurus and ancestors came from. but rather it is the ideology of modern india and what it stands for the corruption, one law for the rich and another for the poor and the treatment of minorities and the poor, 1984 and the treatment of sikhs in prisons etc, so if you are proud of these facts then call yourself an indian, but not i and not in my name. Khalistan Zindabad !!
