Bhainji the dhol is used at nagar kirtans to inspire Bir Rus in the people doing kirtan and Gatka. The Nagar Kirtan itself has no relation with Bhangra, or culture. The season of Vaaisakh is obviously celebrated in Punjab for cultural as well as religious reasons, but the Nagar Kirtan is a procession of Guru Ji's Khalsa, and Guru Granth Sahib Ji is leading the procession, at the front of the Nagar Kirtan. It is not appropriate to have songs and bhangra dancing in front of Guru Sahib Ji. In my humble opinion, the only type of "dancing" we should be doing in front of Guru Sahib Ji is dancing with shasters - doing Gatka and our penthra - we are a warrior kaum... Bhangra is not acceptable at any Nagar Kirtan being held in memory of Guru Ji's Panj Pyare, and Guru Khalsa Panth. I'm not saying whether the act of Bhangra it self is right or wrong, but it's definitely not appropriate at any Nagar Kirtan, where Guru Ji themself are walking with their laadlee Fauj. bhul chuk maaf.

As long as they stay on your head. Sometimes if you do not wear a dastaar it's best to tie a rumaal under your chuni to ensure your head is still covered, chunis sometimes fall off a lot. Otherwise, just try to find any fabric/material that will stick to your head and wont be very slippery/silky that it'll be a hassle or keep coming off. Bhul Chuk Maaf

If you do something and it helps your Naam Abiyaas and makes your Sikhi stronger/inspires you to become a better Gursikh, then the answer should be obvious. That's why sometimes it's better to try it for yourself and see the effects, because you never know WHY someone is telling you not to eat in Sarabloh. You wont know another person's intentions, but you can see for yourself the effects of sarbloh if you eat in it for a while. If it really does help your Naam Abhiyaas and help you concentrate more on Akaal (the real purpose of this life), then it's encouraged. You don't always follow something just because "it's rehat", rather you practice it out of love and respect, and because you begin to recognize the effects it can have on your jeevan, and how it can help you become closer to God. Singhni bhenji, Bhaji is not "terrorising the sangat", but is simply sharing his and many others' view, I don't see the point in doing baiss over this issue (disputing over it), because it looks like we're just arguing against each other rather than trying to help the Singh that started this post. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh To the person that originally started this post: I suggest you try sarbloh before listening to what anyone else says, and see for yourself whether it helps your jeevan or not, and whether you think you can feel a difference or not. Nothing more needs to be said, beyond that. Just try it for yourself and you'll see whether you need it or not, whether it is/isn't important, and whether your soul feels like doing it or whether it doesn't seem to make a difference to you. No one knows the flavour of something until they taste it, and no one really has the right to refute something until they have personally experienced it (in my opinion) So I think, enough people have argued against or for sarbloh, but you wont know reality until you witness it yourself. So I suggest you try it now and see how it feels, hopefully you will realize what you personally need and Satguru ji will guide you on the right path. Just a humble suggestion. p.s. Anyone who is arguing strongly against sarbloh bibek might benefit from trying it out for a while and seeing if they feel different.

Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh ji were amazing. Like gupt daasn daas was trying to say, such gurmukhs know certain things that normal paapis like me do not. Study the jeevan of Gurmukhs who kept or keep Sarbloh, and see how much bani and simran they did, Bhai Randhir Singh ji, holy waheguru, they did massive amounts of abiyaas, read their biography, read their life history, they did so much simran and had lots LOTS LOTS of Guru Granth Sahib ji & Dasam Bani memorised. Someone said: "The bottom line is Sarbloh bibek isn't neccessary and it is karam kaand. That is all. Read Guru Granth Sahib Ji and try to understand Gurbani." The thing is, Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh ji had more of Guru Granth Sahib ji read and memorized than (probably) any of us replying in this post. Therefore, like Gupt daas said & Bijla Singh, we need to try to get our avasthas to that level or approach the situation with humility, rather than assuming we know everything and disregarding a component of rehat that may actually be very significant.

Acting Jathedar Sant Baba Takhur Singh Ji Khalsa (1984-2004) Sant Baba Thakur Singh ji Khalsa The Sikh nations respected religious personality,Baba Takhur Singh Jee was born in 1915,village Eechogill, Dist Lahore (Pakistan) to the respected Baba Bahadur Singh and Mata Prem Kaur Jee. Both his parents were Amritdhari, who recited many prayers daily and had unshakeable faith in the guru .After the partition they came to India, where in village Sadaruala , near Makhu , Dist Ferozepur, they started to live. From birth Baba jee was forever meditating, merciful, peaceful hearted, imbued with spiritual energy and had unshakeable faith in the Guru. From a young age they would not waste their time playing or talking .When a little older, they started helping his mother and father in running the household, doing which he would forever attune his concentration to the one intoxicating Naam Simran. From childhood ,Baba Jee used to share his earnings/food/belongings with others as he saw Gods light in all ,and was always inspired to help others being engrossed in the seva and simran. Baba Jee’s mind forever longed to be in the precence and seva of a true Gursikh/Brahmgiani. They learnt through others that Brahmgiani Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee Khalsa along with his Jatha were doing Sikhi Parcher- who are respected as great intellectuals and who have much blessings of Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee. Baba Jee left home and went to Bhindra in Dist Moga where Khalsa Jee resided, their Baba Jee took Amrit from Panj Pyare. They blessed him with a great spiritual state .They said ,’’A time will come , when you will perform the greatest seva of all . After Khalsa Jee went to sachkand, Baba Jee carried on seva of Langer and sangats, with Sant Giani Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa , and forever remained imbued in Naam Simran . Sant Giani Kartar Singh Jee had much respect for Baba Jee & would discuss decisions to be made with Baba Jee. This time was a critical period for Sikh’s as there were many efforts being made to silence the Sikh community, as a political and faith group. Sant Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa held 37 major processions which woke the sleeping Sikh masses to their identity. The government were trying to silence Sant Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa and were making plan’s to arrest him, Santh Jee said the follwing in response to this, ‘’If the government arrest me, then after me Baba Takhur Singh Jee will be responsible for Damdami Taksal. They can give the seva of leadership to whom they please.” After Sant Kartar Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindra Vale ascended to Sachkand, Baba Jee appointed Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa the leader of Damdami Taksal, Sant Jee would always heed Baba Jee’s advice. In July 1982 Sant Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa began the Dharam Yudh Morcha to free the Sikh’s from oppression of the government and made Amritsar their permanent residence, and Baba Jee was given the seva to look after Gurdawara Gurdashan Parkash Mehta. In June 1984 the government attacked Sri Harmander Sahib and Sri Akhal Takhat Sahib martyred countless Singh’s and Singhnia. After the attack Sant Jee went underground, in the absence of Sant Jee the Damdami Taksal seva was given to Baba Jee by the Sangat, which they are performing to their best currently, he has guided the Damdami Taksal through testing and difficult times, and his wisdom has shined throughout. Baba Jee has kept the Damdami Taksal Parcher countinuous, he attends many functions throughout the world. Thousands have been inspired through parcher organised by Baba Jee and have taken Amrit. He has fought cases for arrested Singh’s and has assisted those still in jail, in whatever manner possible, Shaheed’s families have been provided for and are still being supported. He restarted the great tradition of Sarbat Khalsa and they performed the reconstruction of Sri Akhal Takhat Sahib with much physical fervour, many other Gurdwaras have been built and are being built/renovated. Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj B-block was built in Sri Amritsar in memory of the Shaheeds of the encounter with Nakali Nirankaris of 1978. At Sri Anandpur Sahib on Kiratpur Sahib Road a Gurdwara was built to benefit visiting sangats. In memory of Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Jee Khalsa a Khalsa academy & a hospital have been built at Mehta. Baba Jee is respected throughout the panth as a very spiritual/gifted leader and he is a shining example of a Khalsa. Dhan Dhan Baba Takhur Singh ji and may we all learn from their jeevan, such rare gems seem to be running out, which is why we hold on to them so much.

I'm a little confused, are you asking about if there is Gurbani printed on the cover of a Video, then what to do with the Cover (in order to ensure proper Satkaar of Gurbani?) Or are you talking about Gurbani being written on the actual video and whether you should burn it instead of throwing it in the Garbage, in order to do proper Satkaar of Bani? Is that what you are talking about? Or are you talking about the Bani that was read during the video or something? P.S. I don't think it's fair to say "people have nothing better to post these days" - any questions related to SATKAAR OF BANI are 100% acceptable and encouraged, in fact, lots of people disrespect Bani because of their ignorance. We should try to respect Bani as much as we possibly, realistically can. So to whoever began this thread, no, your question was not wrong at all to ask
