But Guruji said here that the food which makes the body sick or creates vikaar (desires) in the mann is bad and has to be avoided. And meat especially fish is known to increase the Kaam vikaar (desire of sex) so should be avoided.(Note: Here I am not saying that it is against sikhi or anything). But leaving eating meat is the easiest thing we can do and if we know it is not a simple food and it increases lust then why we don’t stop eating it. **Kabir bhaang maachi surapaan jo jo prani khaahe, teerath nem sab vart kiye sabhe rasatul jaaye** As far as I can understand kabir ji wants to say that all these things won’t allow a person to concentrate on SIMRAN so all the karams(teerath, vart) are waste. This means that eating meat won’t allow us to concentrate on SIMRAN. There is a HUKAMNAMA from akal takhat that eating meat is not against the code of conduct of sikhs. But we need to think that do we only need to avoid doing things against the code of conduct or we also need to do things to improve our lifestyle(jeevani). Going to pubs, bars, discotheques etc is also not against the code of conduct then why we don’t do that? Well i don't do much... just early morning when people are slept, i just do robbery at one place and whatever i can get... i am living lavishly. A: Well i don't do much there is a saint in the village for 30 days and he do veechaar at amritwela and meditation, so i just attend that and live a honest life and with what all i can get by my honest earning. Its already 29 days the saint is here... tomorrow is the last day... he is a good saint... you shall also go to him and learn something... all what you are doing is not good... B: Well learn what? and wha t you got from honest earning... not even a 2 time food. Then they both walk ahead and a big thorn just go into A's foot and come out from other side... as soon as B move ahead to help A, his foot strike a stone and he find a gold coin. B: See what your honesty and spritual life gave it to you and what i got. Then you say i am doing wrong things... man you shall start doing theft and robbery. A: Well its Gurus HUKAM... tomorrow is a last day of that saint here... we shall ask why is this so. The other day... A: Guru ji, this is my friend B who do robbery and theft but still never got caught or punished... and i try to live most honest life and try to meditate maximum possible... still can hardly afford 2 time food. why is it so? Saint: Well B's past life deeds were soo good that he was to get 30 gold coins in this life, but coz he wasted 29 days doing small theft and buglary... he lost 29 coins but coz last day he did your sangat and sangat of a honest, spritual person is always fruitful, so he got one gold coin. Yours(A's) past deeds were so bad that you were to get death penelty this life but coz you did meditaiton, honest living and sat sangat, so your death penelty was to be forgiven but coz u did a sangat of a manmukh on last day so that death penelty u suffered in the form of a thorn. Conclusion of story ???? 1.) saakat sang na keejiye dooroh jaayiye bhaag manmukhan naalon tutti bhali kabir maari maru kusang ki, kele nikat jeon ber... oh jhoole oh cheeriye, saakat sang na her 2.) Amrit is taking admission to a school of KHALSA... but a person if took admission can't pass any class... he can never graduate... we need to work hard and then there are exams by guru sahib to test our comittment... and then we move on to next grade on the way of graduation(freedom from process of births and deaths). Well taking Amrit is a comittment to guru sahib to follow HIS HUKAM and rehat... and who told us that our sins are washed by taking Amrit? sins are only washed by simran, seva, gurbani and keertan. Ofcourse if we are disciplined gursikh and obeying rehat then guru sahib *might* do kirpa and forgive our past sins only if we are comitted in present and will be comitted in the future(guru sahib knows about the future also). Everything is a very simple cycle of deeds and comittment(WITHIN HIS HUKAM, NOTHING IS OUTSIDE OF HUKAM)... seva,simran,gurbani can balance the past wrong deeds and helps us be comitted to guru sahib. If a person do a wrong deed(which might be a exam by guru sahib on way to graduation... and he failed... he remain in same level and starts everything from the begining of that level). SIMRAN is required before and after (sachkhand) also... before to reach to that level and after to maintain to it... and everyone h as to pay for what he sow... so we just should improve our present and don't worry about what other person is doing... if he is doing something wrong intentionally then we shouldn't do sangat of manmukhs... if he is doing unintentionally then its our duty to help him and explain him about the consequences... I saw people doing ardaas to baba instead of guru sahib which was shock of my life... well i keep myself away from this kinda sangat but i have seen so many innocent people fall in their trap... well yeah this spirit thing also shocked me... and sitting on chair in gurudwara sahib was not tolerable. But my only point is like most sangat just goto visit places and do darshan and come back and think that they did excellent job and now there sins are washed which is crazy... like eg... if we goto darbar sahib and just visit and come back... it won't make much difference... and if we attend the amritwela programme there, do amritwele seva and other times also listen to gurbani and do seva, that makes difference... that is worth it... Ofcourse if you goto parikarma during Amritwela in darbar sahib, you can see chardi kala souls doing naam abhyaas and the atmosphere is so spritual that even if you were not able to concentrate earlier, you will be able to concentrate during that time in that atmosphere... I still don't agree much to hemkunt... coz what i feel is that like Darbaar sahib where guru sahib himself did parkaash of dhan shri guru granth sahib ji mahaaraaj is much more spritual... if Guru Gobind singh sahib ji wanted us to worship hemkunt, HE would have did the parkaash of Dhan Shri guru granth sahib ji maharaaj as HE did at anandpur sahib during his stay and at hazoor sahib in nanded during his stay... Guru Sahib never visited that place during HIS time... It was found much later... Anyways Guru Sahib knows what is the truth... and what is reason behind that... but what i want to say is that if we visit historical, spritual places... we must take advantage of that by staying there and do naam abhyaas and seva... One more doubt... when was hemkunt sahib founded? i mean dhan guru granth sahib ji's parkaash was done there? Ofcourse after guru gobind singh sahib ji... and guru sahib asked us to worship only guru granth sahib ji, then how can guru sahib ask us to worship hemkunt? Well i have heard that dasam granth was modified by hindu mahants when sikhs were staying in jungle and still gursikhs are doing research on which is actual gurbani written by guru sahib... i wanna learn more on this...
