  17. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.. i have the same situation virji... i'm not amritdhari right now...but was when i was like 7... well in my case i was forced to take amrit by the bording school i was in..but it was for my own good..at the time...although when i came out of bording school and started living with my parents i took off my shiri-sahib.. and then i didn want to hurt guru ji by taking off everything one at a time....thats just the way i thought when i was a kid...well i asked my parents if i should give up amrit, 'cause i didn want to disrespect guru ji by not following the rehit... but now ji..since i have grown up i'm planning on taking amrit again.... 'cause i think i can handel it now... Now virji...o think it's great that you want to take amrit... and if you can keep your rehit... and follow whatever guru ji has said...from my prespective you should take amrit... especially when you're getting signs like that in your dreams, waheguru ji i think that's wonderfull..... but make a choise that you yourself are going to be satisfied with... guru kirpa you'll make the right onw... i wish you luck virgi. bhul chuk muaaf ji... waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

  21. waheguru ji bani is soo beautiful....here's one of my fav shabads.... >gur satgur kaa jo sikh akhaa-ay so bhalkay uth har naam Dhi-aavai. One who calls himself a Sikh of the Guru, the True Guru, shall rise in the early morning hours and meditate on the Lord's Name. >udam karay bhalkay parbhaatee isnaan karay amrit sar naavai. Upon arising early in the morning, he is to bathe, and cleanse himself in the pool of nectar. >updays guroo har har jap jaapai sabh kilvikh paap dokh leh jaavai. Following the Instructions of the Guru, he is to chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. All sins, misdeeds and negativity shall be erased. >fir charhai divas gurbaanee gaavai bahdi-aa uth-di-aa har naam Dhi-aavai. Then, at the rising of the sun, he is to sing Gurbani; whether sitting down or standing up, he is to meditate on the Lord's Name. >jo saas giraas Dhi-aa-ay mayraa har har so gursikh guroo man bhaavai. One who meditates on my Lord, Har, Har, with every breath and every morsel of food - that GurSikh becomes pleasing to the Guru's Mind. >jis no da-i-aal hovai mayraa su-aamee tis gursikh guroo updays sunaavai. That person, unto whom my Lord and Master is kind and compassionate - upon that GurSikh, the Guru's Teachings are bestowed. > jan naanak Dhoorh mangai tis gursikh kee jo aap japai avrah naam japaavai. ||2|| >Servant Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of that GurSikh, who himself chants the Naam, and inspires others to chant it. ||2|| bhul chuk muaaf waheguru...waheguru...waheguru..
