The person I spoke to was a commitee member.. I don't know.. but I beleive I saw on television a bhangra "culture" show held at some banquet hall in Edmonton where the kids of the Khalsa school did Bhangra. Am I correct on this?

There is excellent farming land in many parts of Canada. Ideal land if found around Abbotsford B.C and in some of the flat plateaus around the mountain ranges. If you truly want a peaceful and fullfiling job, farming is a good choice. But I would really do a lot of research and make sure you know everything about the trade before jumping in. I wish you good luck on your personal pathway Fateh Ji.

It wasen't stealing land.. there were people trying to take over the land of the dera under their control and it had to be taken to court to have the land permanantly placed under the Gurdwara. We don't have a need for Sants? There was no need for Sant Jarnail Singh Ji to re-awaken us. There was no need for Sant Attar Singh Ji to do parchaar and inspire hunderds of thousands of people to take amrit. There is no need for Sants? Trust me brother.. there have always been and always will be Sants to lighten up Kaljug. Fateh.

This can't be <_< and those people don't 'follow' the Sants. They follow Guru Ji.. the Sants don't unstruct otherwise.

Yes I do Sant Jarnail Singh Ji was no Sant? Sant Jagjit Singh Ji of Harkhowal are no Sant? Sant Gian Singh Ji of Nirmal Kutia Johalan were no Sant? My brother.. read their Jeevanis. If you were to meet some of these souls you wouldn't speak in such a way. Many bhagats and sants are Gupt to us. They are here but we do not know of them. Sants of past are reborn to further guide the lost toward Guru Ji. Some sants are given different Hukams by Akaal Purakh.. Sant Jarnail Singh Ji was to awake our nation. Baba Nidhan Singh was given the Hukam to do the Seva of Langar. Some Sants are here plainly to do Bandgi and re-unite us with our Guru. Are you telling me that Sants think they are Big Shots in our Religion? Read up on the meaning of "Sant", you will notice none of these Pakhandis or people who do such things fall under the definition A Sant has Nimarta that are as you say at the feet of our Guru A person who cannot understand certain aspects of Sikhi or cannot understand Gurbani would go to whom? A Giani Singh.. or someone who knows no? Well is it not fine that people go to others for guidance? What if someone dosen't understand the importance of Amrit? If they can't get the answer from their own understanding then should they not ask someone who knows? Sants aren't needed? A person who is Brahamgiani is not needed? Does your intellignece not tell you that they are sent to this world by Akaal Purakh? Sants are he as candles in darkness to guide us toward Guru Ji. I'm not saying start following Sants and not Guru Ji.. Sants are sent here to put us into a direction toward our Guru. I called the number and the person who I was talking to said that there is no Bhangra at the Gurdwara.. he said that " what place does bhangra have in a Gurdwara". So I'm a bit confused.

Yeah, Your right Valli Singh Dixie has million dollars given the them annualy.. where does it go? They spent $800,000 on Lawyers for a court case. Until we Youth and we Canadian born Sikhs can do the Seva of running of Gurdwaras this will continue. My Grandfather's cousin was a Secretary at a Gurdwara.. I won't name which one. They would show less income to the Sangat than what they recieved and they would continue to ask Sangat for maya on different things they were doing. My Grandfather's cousin was very angry about this and confronted the committe members.. they said to him if he didn't like it he could leave. All these Gurdwaras nowadays run on the basis of Money.. theres no thought of spreading Sikhi. People who would go to such people like Hari Nam Singh Khalsa who were doing good parchaar of Sikhi and spreading vidya of Gurmat and Sangeet were told to come to the Gurdwara instead of him because he charged 10 dollars a month to teach Kirtan among other things. All these people stop going to this Singh and start going to the Gurdawara. Out of all those Kids who left.. close to none even learn at the Gurdwara.. so what was the point in that? Someone from another community who embraces the path of Sikhi and is doing good parchaar for youth is left with no one learning.. and everyone who did learn no longer learns from anyone. Why did he charge money? Because he had the place on rent and had to pay its monthly cost.. but what can I say.. Its the Indian born "sevadars" who just wont let this happen. Makes me sick.

I don't know exact location but they we showing it on T.V buts its somewhere near Sandalwood Pkwy and Dixie Road. But I mean like actual Gurdwaras that have been made.. like most are not much bigger than my house. There is no Parchaar being done.. you could ask them if they give Santhiaa .. NO. They do nothing.. just have it as a means of income. Like its soo stupid. The Hindus living here in Toronto, all came together and made that awesome Mandir totally of marble. They had professional architects come in to design and build it. They all came together as a community and accomplished such a goal. What stops us from doing that? Why can't we Sikhs come together as one Panth and have built better Gurdwaras that do more and better Parchaar which would let Sikhi flourish. It just won't happen. Until the next generation of Canadian born Sikhs.. Sikhi will always stay in this state here. It just makes me so sad.

Straight up.. a new Gurdwara just opened in Brampton.. there is going to be one built literally 400 Metres away. You have this one being built with literaly like 20 Gurdwaras in a 10km radius. Are you kidding me? You have a person who is preaching things against Sikhi in your Gurdwara. I don't know what your running over there but dosen't seem right to me. Are you really going to do real parchaar? Straight up, no Gurdwara to my understanding has done sufficent spreading of Gurmat. I want to know if the Gurdwara commitee is of the same normal 50 year old Business men or are they of a younger age? I really beleive that true Parchaar will never happen in Canada unless Canadian Sikhs are in the for front of it. Atleast answer this one question of mine.

Yeah.. you don't need this Gurdwara literaly a 5 minute walk from Glidden Road Gurdwara. Brampton/Missisauga is over flowing with Gurdwaras that are not needed! Almost all don't follow proper rehit, there is no major parchaar happening so why would should another Gurdwara be made? In the area where you are opening this Gurdwara there are 4 other Gurdwaras nearby, with one extremely close. Is there a just reason why this Gurdwara needs to be made? Please clear my doubts.

I try to research about Sau Sakhi and I come to find that this same Sunnybond is making the Sau Sakhi page on Sikhiwiki. Please don't make a informational page on this granth if you don't have a full authentic granth with you that can be properly translated and its meaning put on that site. A lot of people trust that website for information on Sikhi so please don't put information about this if it isn't 100% concrete. Thanks.

I don't want to be seen as a ignorant fool.. but it does seem to me that there are already so many Gurdwaras in Brampton/Missisauga? There is Glidden Road Gurdwara literaly like 2-3km from the location it seems this one is being opened at. Dixie Gurdwara also isn't far.. there is also more Gurdwaras than there is a real need for. I hope that this Gurdwara will do something for the current situation of Sikhi. A lot of Parchaar or Gurmat needs to be done. Most Gurdwaras have something going on.. but nothing that gets youth to actualy get involved, learn and change. I also hope that the true Maryada passed down from the times of Guru Gobind Singh Ji is established here.. alot of Gurdwaras in the Toronto region have much beadbi and things that just aren't right in a Gurdwara going on. Also I would like to know who were the souls who are establishing this Gur-Asthan.. I do hope its of a more youthful cast WJJK WJKF

Forget all that may influence these teens. Is it not the lack of knowledge and respect which caused it? Whoever these 2 were would more than likely say they are Sikh.. but would they have anything in their heads about Sikhi? Do they know who the Guru is? Do they realise exactly what power is within our Guru? I would say not. If they had any knowledge of Sikhi.. had an morsel of undestanding they would atleast go to Gurdwara with some nimarta. They would have some respect for where they are. They would atleast know that you don't fight or stab someone in a Gurdwara.. in the home of our Guru. I go to that Gurdwara quite a lot and I always see groups of guys and girls for that matter down in the Langar Hall or in un used halls in the Gurdwara just "chillin". The plan it out with their freinds who go to the Gurdwara that go on a friday and I'll meet you here or there. Parents think well I'm atleast bringing my child to the Gurdwara once a week.. they don't realise what their kids are doing. They don't listen to Gurbani.. not the simran. Nothing. They go to hang out with freinds. I've gone on long enough. This just wouldn't happen if sharda and pyar for Sikhi was around like it used to.

Gurdwaras here have problems like this. I was at a Gurdwara taking my shoes off and infront of me I see like 50 flyers for a Banquet Hall. Well, I took the flyers and chucked em right into the garbage
