    Amritvela Scary?

are u scared then u get the feeling, or are u scared of the feeling itself?? it cud be the energy sorting and prepering ur bhanda for amrit. it could also be your mind tricking u.. more often than not, its this with AV beginners. like with me. people also say, their mind shows them horrible things too.. the 5 evils try n stop you.
  2. and dont forget!!!!!!!!!!! bhagat kabeer said, juping naam to begin with is like licking a pathar :PPP dhan guru!!
  3. gurfateh! listening to more sakhis will onyl giv u so much fuel. id suggest that u think how are u actually doing it.. who are u telling about ur experiences. or complaining to etc.. fact is, its a process. we cant expect the rus, just by sitting there for hours on end. though, this is where we do get summin.. if u do this, when you get tired, thasts when the true process starts. first, we realise what we need to do. this is...... 1. mental stage.. 2. emotional stage. we must feel it within our hearts. this happens when you realise wiht your mind what bani is. do lota bani, 2 hours 1 sitting, then bani will start hitting u after a few times. and u will automatically speak waheguru.. this is the true only kinda nam simran there is.. speaking it, helps to get to this stage (of saying waheguru with meaning.). this is when ur naam is going anhad. this needs a few atempts. then it will carry on.. in form of anhad shabad. its reely this easy. but hard at the same time. 3. physical stage.. this is when you feel it. this is what u want without going thru the process.. its a step by step thing.. and its like this for a reason.. neway. after this stage, then u get the 4. spiritual stage. this is the gul of dasam dwaar, and the gupha.. u hav to get the gupha first (create it in ur brain - naam simran). to go into ur dasam dwaar. then it will open, then thats when ur true spiritual journey starts. this is the main overview. stage by stage is how u hav to do it.. no point in saying, "i dont feel it" if ur not doing the bani properly with ur mind (#1stage) to then feel it in ur heart (#2stage).. good luck on this amazing journey.. speak less. no need in complaining.. if u find happiness true shaant sumehere, just live in there for as long as u can.. thats what love is.. then u do ur naam simran, and u can then, do the ardaas to gruu G in the form of naam, and then through gur kirpa, your mind will realise things. gurfateh

this means, in meditating on god, your body will be taken care of. not exactly what u said the translation was. lets not loose the meaning of bani in translation..

i understand ur problem.. the reason you had to do what u did was for medical reasons.. not for other reasons to become a pleasure mongers. muslims say its removing it is for hygene, when the real reaso y its there is >because of< hygene. (near enuf the same functionality that our eye lashes have for our eyes). evolutionary terms, if its hang about, it wa bound to touch surfaces and other germy-fied places. so the forskin protected it from this. fact is, u needed to remove it for a medical reason. people dont need to for faith reasons. if u need to amputate for a medica reason, theres no two ways about it. dont feel bad, real people fix their problems.. (jushlyk uooav!) fateh
  6. true love in its purest form, is the love that u have with your parents, with your siblings, and with your children. this love has no need for procreation, as this love just exists. and does not need to be created, just needs to be found (by us). when u get marrid, this love (found in a partner) matures, and when this love has matured to a decent degree, you are ready to 'nibaa' (fulfill) the seva of bringing a child into the world nd instilling virtues in it (the child) . on one hand we have kaam, moh, chunchal etc.. and on the other hand we have prem, preet and piyaar. having sexual relations can be achieved through both these channels, and its up to us to make the choice which channel. i.. go through piyaar, and not kaam... in my personal view, if u dont do naam simran to a level where you feel the rus from naam simran to a level that exceeds the rus from sex, then you will have a hard time bringing life into the world with your mind wandring in and out of the territory of kaam, because, your mind will most definatey go to the kaam aspect of sex, and not the preet aspect. (because, as per definiton, the happiness from naam simran has not been felt to a degree where it exceedes the 'happiness' from physical relations). our thoughts and spiritual level during sex will have an impact on the kid to be.. and we al want the best for our / all children. as the love grows between u and ur partner, when the time is right, u will be able to do the deed.. because, the shyness, and worry wil all go.. cuz that wht true piyaar is.. we get taught the preet prem etc from our family. this (as iv said above) matures, into summin more, with your partner, and then you have the duty to instill the preet in your childrens hearts.
  7. my advice, kep friends. if he is the one, u can find out that way.. but the moment u start to escelate with him, it messes up.. dont do anyhting with the guy, get to know him. as u wud any other guy.. dont get star spangled!!! stay focused.. these things seem star spangled.. but mosta the time, u end up with the biggest head 'messup' .... trus me.. plz.. so many 'fit' girls in uni are single.. thats for a reason.. they went out, but realised that its better to wait.. wait, be friends, see how it goes for a few >years<.. if he the one, then get marrid! yey! if hez not, u dojed a bullet.. hope this helps!! ok?? true love is that love that u feel with ur parents, siblings, and children, all rolled into one.. everything else, is just lust... if its lust, u wil get mest up. if it is love, do not rush into things..wait. its so much nicer. happier. and love filled! and no amount of physical 'pleasure' will measure up to it.. read the metro today.. love is of the soul. lust is of the sense!! and if u go into senses like hat, as in, maya, u will finish up in hell.. simples... pease, love, and no hanky panky! else, demons of hell wait for u..
  8. fact is, when we are doing anyhting, paat, seva, naam simran, or whatever, we hav to be stable. the body can be split into 3 main catagories... 1. mental 2. emotional and 3. physical. these 3, effect the 4th... the spiritual.. which thus have an effect on the 5th, Social / surroundings / things around you. we have to be stable in the 1st 3 things 1st, to be able to do anything to its fullest. hence, the physical changeing in the cycle is past 'the threshold' of change, so it will effect ur spiritual. fact, we are to control all the 1st 3 things. thas y our spirit increases. aaaaand, yes, everything is changing all the time.. emotions and mind included.. but it is in the threshold... >>>>>e.g. sum1z going thru probz. they are taking daal etc to people. they will make a mistake.. they wont be able to concentrate on the seva / the naam simran they shud be doing. hence, cant do the seva properly..<<<<<< as an e.g.. this is the main reason. control, stability and completeness in the 3 catagories (which can be sub diveded alot more things!) that make us (minus the spiritual).
  9. ^ yes!.. bump! but G, i think thas y he is askin the q inda first place. so he can work towards that.
  10. yh, thas obvious, but its rong. he dont say the haha proply.. he is turning it into summin else... as in, makin it sound lyka laav.. its good vids! dont get me rong! but, unless the word is a mool shabad, and the last letter aint a haha, u dont pronunce the lagaa. if its been exended, like gaavehe, (with bindi as the teacher sez), then u pronunce the lagaa on the end of the word.. (>omnly ifitsa haha). like the word deha. (no kanna), as in safal deha naanak har har naan lei, most ppl sat dehe, with a slight sihaari sound, or jus drop it off all together.. changes meaning.. my only point was that he says a haha nu sihaari, as if its gota laav. so its not ryt.. its k, cuz geting too much into the pronuncian, and enounciation, well... we will obv miss the point of doing the bani. but he is teachin it... so, he shud no.. and, which ones are the vids with chundh bundh??? i jus want u to point out the vids cuz its alot to watch all at once..
  11. aaaand, gimi ur email addy, i send u link ! and, jus memba, sagal samagree aekas ghat maahe!
  12. From sikh perspective, we want to merge into god. through meditation we try to become complete. there are 3 main aspects to any conchous being, which influence ur spirituality (the fourth). then all these 4 combined, dictate your social / effect around you.. 1. mental 2. emotional, 3. physical, 4.spiritual, and 5 social... there are more further than numba 5.. but thas too nitty gritty. fact is that if we are not 'puran' mentally, emotionally, AND physically, our spirituality will not fully grow to its maximum.. you will feel at peace, but not at one. (with god). going through each spiritual stage, we must fill up the previous stage to 100%. else, we wont get into the next stage.. another simple reason, is to do with naam. our guru tells us to jup naam with our rom. hair. all hair.. (which is y we not reely supposed to gel beard etc) when we say one waheguru, we say it once with our tongue. however, if we learn to do it with our kes / rom (same thing), then, we have the potential to say it 50 billion, billion times. thas how many hairs we hav on our body.. science source.! imagine, saying this in 1 skint. 1 moment. this is y ppl call this guruz 'more' (stamp). being given this gift form our guru.. thus, simply put, and a heavy down grade, hair is a >>tool. we hav ben given so many other tools for naam simran.. the palak of our heart. heart beat. to say naam sinran wityh our breath (different to jus saying naam with our mouths. the very air around us becomes naam. and fills us.. this is another tool. another tool, footsteps ; sur ; taal ; beat ; bol ; taan ; saaj ; all these are toools for naam. this is sowly how we vibrate with the frequency of naam. but the start is to be complete is every way that we can.. which, (no getting away from), includes physical. thas 1 reason... 2. another, being stable.. munmut. thinking that u dont want rom for xyz reason.. its a way to go towards ego, and therefore ultimately get stuck in haumai. as its a way to 'play up' the notion of the self.. we cant play this up, if at the same time we want to dissolve with god.. its left n right situ... positive n negative ions situ.. (situ = situation : / ) hair in its ultimate function, are spiritual antennaes. hence, unshorn.. its not a matter of long or not, its a matter of unshorn or not.. i no ppl who hav next to no beard at the age of 35! its a matter of unshorn or not ji.. i am so glad that u question it, and came up with the reasons u did.. apprearance to another / our 'mun' is not what we aim for. its appearance to ''self''. r u puran? or not? so, the first 3 things, govern the 4th. once u have built the bridge >>>completely, then!... u can walk on it, to the other side. as for swaag, thas y u keep sucham every day. i can also argue that not covering ur head givs ur hair wayyy more swag than covering.. thas y we cover / box things up etc etc the things we care about. . but, thas y u wash hair every day.... !!!! : / and change and rotate ur clothes. having clothes, and looking extravagent, is yet another ego trip meaning, the phrase 'look at me' or 'i like myself now' plays in your mind over and over again. (and no, im not saying, dont like urself.. im saying you liking urself becomes dependant on other things that are trivial such as house, car clothes hair styls etc etc.. - WE ARRRRE to look our best and presentable. and shine etc.. but if it serves our ego/mun, as in look at me stylies, then its defo not the way... just as the positive n negative ions situation etc.. becoming one, takes u 1 way. becoming another, takes u the other way. simples :D if i havent covered anyhting, please do not hesitate.. i am looking fwd to ur reply..!

    Hair Pulled Out

some say, however god made you, stay like that. u shudnt change it, e.g. hair. but then, what also comes from this is bodily defects. then 'the person' will say, the logic of staying how god intended for u, e.g. with hair / BODY DEFECTS, breaks down. so no, u dont need to keep hair either.. what would sangat reply to this? as its 2 problems into 1.; keeping hair, and staying how god intended for u.. e.g. defects or not. : / id say, guru G says do naam with ur rom. as post above.. and, id say, yes, uv been given that defect as a part of ur karam, so yes, u can try n sort it, but only if its in ur karam to sort it!.. so basically, try as u might, if ur not allowed to sort it, u wont be able to, and if u do try, n it dopes get sorted, the defect, then its in ur karam to sort it in the first place. but u aint gona know till u try.. fact is that karam is hukam, u do a bad deed, ull get badness too. if its in ur karam to make urself better, then go for it.. jus like, it is in our karam (the world - at least most of it) to hav medicine. for ease of pain etc (for me, i dont reely take meds.. all too often. occational paracetamol aspirin thas it - rest i take as me paying for my karam!... although, if u cn porg ur karam and get through the last few moments of ur karam in less pain, u wud defo choose that.. hence, choose medicines over the pain. so it is ok to take meds. but not to depend on then for every lil thing.. : / ).
  14. in lec 16, he is saying the haha nu sihaari rong : / but these are god vids. the chund bundi at start of lec 15, is also good.
  15. zoop zoop ! :feelingfree: :yeehaw: :feelingfree:
  16. ^ what accident????? to me? cycle? or loo?? : /
  17. its ok, iv found the answer dhan guruUuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!
  18. ^ my short answer is wen ur preparing to go rol go loo before hand.. same cant be said in the situ of cycle. this shud be an obv point.. no one shud tell guru G to wait... and defo jus cuz ppl gota go loo half way!.. sum ppl go loo half way n ask sum 1 else to 'cover' for them. >>BACHKE rehna!<< this aint the 'One' maryada. secondly, no one can make sure an acident doesnt happen. its an accident cuz u dint no it was commin by definition. 3rdly, its not prohibited to do seva. its best to not to do the seva if ur on cycle. however, my personal take on it, is that, >if< u can make sure and totally certain that secretions will not fall out of ur body, and that u can concentrate at your normal level and not get distracted by these things, then no prob.. bt thas jus mee.. and jus for a 'heads up' re: good info, the eyes are the closestto the top of head. the lower u go, the less and less sucha each of the 9 doors are... this is for a reason too.. and i was going to write (and probably shud have wrote) that, yes, 5 singhs got up thas the simplest base reason, but there are more reasons than this.. bibya could hav gotton up just as easy.. letters were sent to all. men and women.. (hence pahul is for all) kids and women could hav gotton up just as easy. we all know the state of out kaum in the time of our gurus.. a joshi sama. ( a nice one ) this is off topic.. and most prob been discussed elsewhere in this forum.
  19. menstruating is natural. salivation is natural. going to the loo is also natural. burping, farting, dirst on ur hands are also natural. things being natural doesnt mean its not unclean!.. anyone can do naam simran any time! in any natural situation! no one is stopping anyone from doing naam simran / praying. however doing seva is a physical thing. whoever said on this forum that its to do with the mind, must be a flipin telekinetic!.. if u wana do seva with ur mind, then thas like prachaar etc. but still, while u do seva, ur mind is very importent.. hence to keep it under control. when women come on, they can come on at anytime in the day. soon as that happens, they got to go n sort it out before doing anything else. so, if woman was on tabya, and was gona come on that day, and they were on rol (tabiya), whats she gona say to her guru? ''o hang on a minute, i gota sort myself out ill be right bak..''?????? secondly, we want everything about us to be completely clean when doing maharajz seva. this is y we go to the loo first thing in the day before naam simran, ... >and< so we can concentrate. 3rdly , most of the time, it kills like a continous knife attack being twisted inside urself at totally random moments. regardlessif its light or heavy! u reely think u can giv ur full concentration to your guru with a distraction~?? as a test, go into a club, with people getting it on, shaking you, spilingand try n do a simple chaupi sahib. then, try doing that for a full 2 hours. my point in this 3rd reason is y make it more dificult. 4th, when your on, more often than not, ur thinging about the pain. so outta respect for guru G, we always should go in wih a calm mind, 'surti full' mind, connected as much as we can be, before we go and do seva of guru G. and this cant happen if one is on the cycle. lastly, and the most importent. god himself has given men and women 2 types of seva. 1st type is that both gender can do it. 2nd type, only that gender can do it. doing dirty dishes / pateelae is for both. jore di seva, defo for both. prachaar, for both. etc etc.. reading from guru G is for both. but only in given circumstances (for both women, and men). meaning, rehet / razza, sucham (of all the types) and sharda-bhaavna i.e. concentration (cuz yh, u can have all the love u want, but the pain of cycle reely does get in the way). seva of giving birth has been reserved for women only. men cant do it. this does not giv rise to inequality. the seva of 5 pyare, are for men, as women hav been given the seva (>>due to their physical body) of giving rise to life, and men, (>>due to their physical body*), hav been given the seva of giving rise to death.. and at that, not all men can giv rise to death! only a few people can. (5 pyaare). but, all women can giv rise to life. (if they cant, its cuza karam.. - karam is not the hand that the universe / god has delt you, as is misrepresented by most, it is what u have created through bad deeds. - off topic tho) most cannot seem to accept these facts of seva.. that seva has been given to humans both >gender specifically and >non-gender specificly. *this in itself is a big topic. but simple too. maaf karna if i spoke too abruptly..
  20. this is a slightly deep topic, so apoligies if u dont understand what i type, then sorry for not explaining it better : / . its a hard topic to explain.. we are all under the hukam of god. hukam maters. we also have percieved choices and actions that we percieve that we are making, as in, deciding to do sum paat for example. dhan guru naanak paatshaha defines a true human, a true sikh, a true muslim when they said >>>>>>>>>>>> sloku mÚ 1 ] salok ma 1 || Salok, First Mehla: muslmwxu khwvxu musklu jw hoie qw muslmwxu khwvY ] musalamaan kehaavan musakal jaa hoe thaa musalamaan kehaavai || It is difficult to be called a Muslim; if one is truly a Muslim, then he may be called one. Avil Aauil dInu kir imTw mskl mwnw mwlu muswvY ] aval aoul dheen kar mit(h)aa masakal maanaa maal musaavai || First, let him savor the religion of the Prophet as sweet; then, let his pride of his possessions be scraped away. hoie musilmu dIn muhwxY mrx jIvx kw Brmu cukwvY ] hoe musalim dheen muhaanai maran jeevan kaa bharam chukaavai || Becoming a true Muslim, a disciple of the faith of Mohammed, let him put aside the delusion of death and life. rb kI rjwie mMny isr aupir krqw mMny Awpu gvwvY ] rab kee rajaae ma(n)nae sir oupar karathaa ma(n)nae aap gavaavai || As he submits to God's Will, and surrenders to the Creator, he is rid of selfishness and conceit. qau nwnk srb jIAw imhrMmiq hoie q muslmwxu khwvY ]1] tho naanak sarab jeeaa mihara(n)math hoe th musalamaan kehaavai ||1|| And when, O Nanak, he is merciful to all beings, only then shall he be called a Muslim. ||1|| <<<<<<<<<<< the percieved control that we have, seems to matter, as well as hukam. y is this? i understand that >we are all under hukam. >there aint anything outside hukam. >only IF WE booj the hukam, >THEN nothing of us will be left, as we dissolve in god himself. end of pauri 2 in japjisahib.. if we can choose to deny following the hukam, then we are outside hukam. but, this cant be. i understand that we make a percieved choice of not following hukam, as in, to booj the hukam, but how can we even aim to say, "no i dont wana booj the hukam" if in effect, its hukam to say "no i dont wana booj the hukam" in the first place? there is no if / then we follow the hukam (or not), as its all part of hukam. ^^hope this lil bit is understood as its the main part / essence of my question. the only answer i can come up with to this 'lil' problem i have, is that guru G has told us a shortcut to god. as in, we can use our percieved control to aim to push forward in our own avastha. thus merging with god. .......... but then, again, it is only us percieving that we push to increase our avastha, cuz jor na mangan.. (the jor na mangan bit i do understand to a comfortable degree.. - as we can never understand gurbani to its fullest!) - jus to say, the jor na mangan pauri says basically that, we cant do anything, so we must naam jup. (cuz he is doing everything and seeing everything). i do want answers, but more so, i want thoughts on hukam and hukam boojna, and the idea of staying in razza (the pathway) of god. dhan guru.
  21. ^^ thas reely good.. start on the punj (5) baniya too! jaap sahib, amrit savayyae, benti chaupi till chaupi ko kehe, and 40 pauri anand sahib. it dont even take 45 mins. :D
  22. its not totaly right to keep hair open. to respect our rom / kes, is rehet. where else are u gona put kanga if not with ur joora. : / ! tie a keski at home. tie it firm, not tight.. keeps hair gud etc.. :angeljump: else, u cud paas for a yogi! :imslow:
