1. Punjab is not in position to control migration unlike western countries that you giving example. So whatever rule is possible with framework under which we are living should be used. On languages thing. It is media especially bollywood TV media that try to over run us. English & Punjabi is only two languages we need to learn. Hindi is any case third grade languages. Talk to any Maratha or south Indian. They all hate Hindi. Next time any Delhi babu/crap wants to talk , learn English to speak with those fellows. Any case English as languages is best for inter india & outside india talk. Perhaps some role models are required who insist to speak in Punjabi at international forum. I do not blame people who feel shamed at speaking Punjabi. Most us who well know English should insist either speaking in Punjabi in Punjab or in English. When ever I go to Punjab I speak in Punjabi even in chandigarh,. If someone try speak in hindi reply back with English,.
2. uk usa canada can cancel your visa or status anytime. They can easily control how much immigration is reqyuired Punjab cannot do any such thing. It cannopt control how many people can come on its land By the way I am not asking anything unique. So many states in india have pass such rule. Himachal Pradesh is next door to punjab NO punjabi can buy any land in Himachal
3. If Only Himachal domicile people can buy land in Himachal While not only Punjab domicile people should allow to buy land and house in Punjab . NO land for biharis Akalis need to set their priority right. If Punjabis cannot buy land in himachal, why Bihar’s are allowed to buy houses in Ludhiana. It is very much under the scope of State Govt to make rule that allow only Punjab domicile people to buy land & houses in Punjab. Else these people in case able to buy land & property in Punjab will start ruling us. The whole Punjab now fear from Biharis. Their Guru Ashutush is big Goon. These people rape/elope our daughters. Burn buses & public property. Their was caller from Ludhiana on Sikh Channel that was telling how these Biharis forced many of our respectable sikh old parents down from scooters & car and burn them .
4. fortunate , as per your request for a translation , Below is the English translation of the letter written in Punjabi. I did best to correlate sentences as much as possible from the above Punjabi post to below English,( as per my knowledge of both the Languages). Apologies in advance, if I have made any mistake in translation. In light of murderous massacres of Sikhs , Sikh Panth should try to wake up the inner (jamir) of jathedars & leaders. On 4th December migrants workers widespreadly throw stones, loot & burn crores worth of property . But no firing from police. But on 5th December Sikh panth in respect of Guru Granth Sahib ji and against wrong parchar of the same , did a peaceful march , but get fired upon mercilessly. It result in deaths and injurys of many Sikhs , thus so called panthic govt repeat the history of 13th April 1978 bowing to pressure from Manu-Wath powers , thus earn a "Khuru " of sikh. If Govt wants it could have easily stop the get-together of nurmaal in light of minority commission orders of 2003, which states that Nurmaal cannot conduct its program outside nurmaal. This incident's main culprits BJP's MLA Harish Bedi & police officers should get arrested and case of murder should be started against them. Chief Minister Sh Badal, taking overall responsibility of the incident should give resignation. In recent past Jathedar akal takht have given statement in favour of badal family , that if someone's even chicken get killed, it is blamed on badal family. Such a childish remarksmaking Jathedar is being requested in light of murderess massacres , by UK panthic jathebanis to wake up your conscious and also keep the honour of the respectable post of "akal takht jathedar" . Also Sikhs in badal dal that have still their conscious wake, to resign from the Dal post and join the panthic parties so as to give respect to guru granth sahib ji Bhai Amrik Singh Gill Chairman Sikh federation uk Jathedar Balbir Singh , kar seva committee Pakistan Master Avtar Singh pardhan Shromani akali dal amritsar uk Jathedar Gurmaj Singh Gill, Prime Minister Khalistan Jawalthan Sarkar ( This could means " Govt in Exile" probably, no sure ) O B E Amrik Singh Sahota, Chairman Council of Khalistan Jathedar Manmohan singh khalsa, Fedreation member Dal Khalsa Issued by coordinator FSO Bhai Joga singh 07810535242 , Bhai Kuldip singh chahera 07973 712872

6. I guess you will get better response in www.rentacoder.com site. Also you can easily take care of NDA issues.
7. Thumbs up for Minister of state in foreign affairs, Preneet Kaur make sure most illegal people around 150,000. Out of which, half from Punjab only( 75000 ), will become legal as Indian Govt will issue on the spot passports working Sunday Saturday in italy. The Italian Govt’s Amnesty scheme will enable them to become legal More details in the views links below http://www.punjabnewsline.com/content/view/18885/38/ http://blog.taragana.com/n/govt-to-help-grant-150000-illegal-indian-citizens-italian-citizenship-krishna-171962/

They have done wonders in achievement under the circumstances,. I am sure these girls will achieve good career in west too. Picking up local accent & frequency matching will not be problem.
9. Punjab farmers suffer loss of Rs. 62000 crore Punjab Newsline Network Tuesday, 01 September 2009 google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);CHANDIGARH:A Committee on Minimum Support Price (MSP) & Price Index headed by an eminent economist Ranjit Singh Ghuman on Tuesday submitted its report to the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in his office. Disclosing this a spokesman of the Chief Minister’s office said that the report revealed the cumulative notional loss to the farmers of Punjab due to non-linking of MSP of Wheat and Paddy with the Wholesale Price Index (WPI), comes out to be Rs.61696 crore during the last four decades (1968-69 - 2007-08).Of this, the state had suffered a huge loss to the tune of Rs.41411 crore on account of Wheat with annual average loss of Rs.1035 crore and Rs.20285 crore in case of Paddy with average loss of Rs.507 crore annually, due to non-linking of the MSP of Wheat & Paddy with WPI. The Committee had also pointed out that the Commission for Agriculture Costs & Prices should, however, take into consideration the WPI while recommending the MSP. The WPI, however, should not be taken as the only basis for determining the MSP. There was, however, a need to periodically review and revise the list of indicators for determining the MSP, so that the farmers get remunerative prices of their produce. The committee was however, of the considered opinion that the agrarian crisis and the farmers’ distress cannot solely be addressed with the instrument of MSP because in view of the larger interest of the other stake holders and the economy, MSP may not be raised beyond certain limits. The solution to the farmers’ distress and agrarian crisis would have to be looked beyond the MSP. In other words, the farmers, the state and the policy makers must also look into non-price solutions to address the crisis. That, however, does not mean that the farmers should not be given remunerative prices of their produce. They certainly deserve remunerative prices for their produce and a much better treatment and environment as they were the backbone of food security and that of Indian economy. It was evident that Punjab had been a major contributor in the central pool of food grains during the last four decades. The share of Punjab’s Wheat in the central pool was as high as 79 percent in 1968-69 and 74 percent 1969-70. It varied between 53 per cent and 63 percent during 1970s. During the next decade, it oscillated between 54 percent and 72 percent. In 1990s, it varied between 51 percent and 71 percent, with a few exceptions. During 2001-02 and 2006-07 it remained between 52 percent and 75 percent. Likewise, states’ share of Rice in national food bowl increased from 7.36 percent in 1967-68 and 16.42 percent in 1970-71. It increased to 45.13 percent in 1977-78. Thereafter, it remained between 37 percent and 60 percent upto 1990-91. It, however, varied between 33 percent and 43 percent during the decade of 1990s. Thereafter, it hovered between 29 percent and 38 percent. The Committee revealed in the entire process India became a food sufficient country and Punjab suffered a huge loss in terms of serious erosion of its soil fertility, depletion of sub-soil water and deteriorating ecological balance. Consequently, the Punjab farmers were now beleaguered in a serious socio-economic crisis. The Chairman of the Committee Dr.Ranjit Singh Ghuman was accompanied by two other members Senior Economist & Consultant Punjab State Farmers Commission Dr.PS Rangi and Senior Economist (Marketing) from PAU Dr.MS Sidhu. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister DS Guru and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Gaggandip Singh Brar was also present on the occasion. 10. AMRITSAR: Blaming the hierarchy of Punjab police for raising the bogey of militancy, two Sikh groups namely the Khalsa Action Committee (KAC) and the Dal Khalsa cautioned the political leadership not to get misled by such stories that have no authenticity. In a statement KAC chairman Bhai Mohkam Singh and Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh said the stories of “revival of militancy” attributed to some isolated incidents were clearly aimed to create fear psychosis in the minds of political leaders and general masses. “If at all there was unsuccessful attempt on the life of Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal by anyone, it’s a serious matter and must be probed thoroughly”. However, they wondered why the Punjab DG hasn’t revealed the unsuccessful plot in a transparent manner by holding press conference. They questioned the logic behind leaking the so-called plot to the press in the name of “sources”, they questioned. To make their positions secure, we believe “old hand” police officers were trying to make politicians feel insecure. It’s an old game and mindset: make political leadership insecure to enjoy impunity. They said non-Punjabi media has always played the role of a villain as far as the Punjab and the Sikhs were concerned. “A section of media has always been (mis)used by the state officials for floating and planting wrong and cooked-up theories”, they rued. “It is evident that the environment is being built to pave the way for afresh reign of terror and police repression”, said both. Nobody is denying that the police have first and foremost role and duty to maintain law and order and keep vigil so that peace was not disturbed in the state. But it should not be at the cost of tarnishing the image of Sikhs, they warned. Leaders of both the groups reiterated that they stand for peace and urged all the concerned to play positive and effective role in maintaining communal harmony in the state.
11. Don’t know whom to believe On Ludhiana bomb blast. It was possibly hand work of RSS just on lines of malagon blast. as most of victims were Poor Muslim labourers These people(Muslim labourers) , if I am not wrong facilitate Bhai dalljeet singn bittu & KAC members few days before in Ludhiana during these festival. Hope peace remain in Punjab
12. Brahmin in our village used to take bath early in the morning in winters He used to chant “Hari Om Ganga Hari Om Ganga kithe la liya savera savera uth ka panga” While singing he used to take cold bath This was real incident but I always laugh when I remember or heard about it
13. If you as a NRI have a enterpriship capability Ø Setup IT ir IT enable service industry Ø Setup organic food based export market/plan especially with chandigarh & amritsar are two nearby international airports to dubai & west If you are a working class person in west Ø Donate few computers in your village school or to local childs Ø Make sure you can place a solar panel in your village house to let people living their can get 24 hr electricity. Also Punjab govt have scheme to let you sell electricity produced by solar panel. Ø Implement solar panel facility in local school to get electricity. So children can study full time more comfartably
14. I think this is a complex subject. It is not simple plain white & black. Let take a analogy, Akalis demand Anandpur resolution. Ie they want more power in state from centre They should at least follow same in practice of what they ask. More power should be in local region to decide everyday working of Gurdwara. No point in blaming haryana congress. Politician are after votes. If local Sikhs whose votes matter in assembly election demand a separate HSGPC, it is because they have seen the result of Delhi SPGC(sarna) success. The current SGPC control area is Punjab, harayana, himachal & chandigarh. It is certianly not good idea to break it. But at least more power should be given at local region level , with control still remain in amritsar
15. My travel experience on Delhi Metro train was good. London underground trains are also not bad but are old. Dr. E. Sreedharan, (Managing director of Delhi metro is most experienced and respected person in India. He delivers things before time. All projects of Delhi metro completed before time. That sound like impossible thing in India where everything goes late. Even Akalis (Punjab govt) are using his service for Ludhiana Metro 10k crore project that is expected to come on 2014. (No surprisingly though that project seems delayed at the moment) On this incident, It indeed is very unfortunate. Seems of late , in hurry to meet 2010 commonwealth games deadline , work is being done at must faster pace, thus compromising safety standards.
16. In case the reason to cut the 7 GB video file is to fit in 4.7 GB DVD space, you may also look into option to “shrink” the Video file. Below is link to various options that people suggest http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...29111625AA181NK But if case you want to use 2 DVDs to store One big Video file Then below link should help you. Windows Movie maker allow to cut the video file anyway http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/02/how-to-...-file-into.html
17. 19. I think we should better leave the judgement to give “lots” a gun or not to police officials. After all to get licence weapon a interview is conducted my SSP Or that rank official. 2-3 lakhs means around 3000- 4000 pounds
20. Making peace among Punjabi is must. To uphold sikhi values. The caste based discrimination stoppage is BIG must. I feel sorry for the departed soul. Social fabric of Punjab should be more strong rather than weak if we want the state & sikhi to progress. I wonder what stop Akali govt to make directive just like Maharashtra to force industry give first preference to local people say 80% Also farmers in field should get local labour at high rate rather than getting Bihar’s or UP people employ. May be Chinese new machine operations for paddy sowing should only handle by local labour . It save Per hectare cost anyway for farmers. Perhaps making machine operation direction written only in “punjabi” language may help local population .Also Reservation of ramgarhia, ravidassi in SGPC seats will be major boost for getting Punjabis together. Also for people in general, having a licence weapons at home is must now. That will stop /discourage criminal elements from using such situations for general loot and attacks. Perhaps every NRI should better cancel one India trip donate same money to his/her relative to let them buy licensed weapons. I guess it cost around 2-3 lakhs to get licence and buy one. May vaheguru give peace in general in Punjab
21. will it not be possble for sikh channel to start "disucssion program" on line as done by panjab radio & akash radio ? Both of thier discussion programs involve lots of people in europe.
22. The recent caste wars in Punjab seem unwanted events. If our brothers in lower society are facing isolation, as I could make out of the TV news videos. . Looks loads of people are roaming around without jobs in Punjab cities. One way forward can be to make Punjab govt change rules to --- force industry to give minimum 80% jobs to locals instead of people from UP/Bihar., just like state Govt in Maharashtra have done --Force farmers to employ only labours from Punjab and NOT from UP/Bihar,. Even if we have to give high rate per hour. Now come the question of religious representation. A reservation of seats in SGPC election should be their. Now people will argue castes do not exist in Sikhism , so what talk of reservations. But I think if states elections can have reserved seats. Why not for elections in SGPC? And offcourse if NRI bothers do help donate more on institutions like Akal academy to have education level & Sikhi level high in Punjab
23. http://tt.com/tt/home/story.csp?cid=868781...d=57&fid=21 Can someone with german knowldge could translate this news into english or punjabi please. 28.5.2009 Kontakt | RSS-Feed

(APA)
24. Not really - people always have to eat, no matter what happens. Contrast this with the service sector or most industries which depend on the economy or trends or other countries. Have you seen what's happening in Dubai at the moment, it's all gone down hill in a matter of months. Well what is the option then? Keep Punjab in agriculture sector only? No service sector . Already farmers keep doing all sort of agitations, Nothing happens on reducing diesel rate or increasing support price Batinda to Delhi train is called “CANCER TRAIN of India” as heavy pesticide usage in farming results in DNA change of farmer community forever, many are suffering in villages from cancer Thousands of farmers & agriculture labour are committing suicides every year. Punjab govt have meekly put 2 lakh as compension for any suicide commited due to farming. Thousands of youth try go illegally abroad. If this trend continue then we will have no Akali govt in future . Rather a Bhaiya govt in future. A high income service industry projects are must in Punjab as viable alternative. All work with machines operations. I think it is good for badal sahib to recognise this fact. Internnatlnal religious tourism and service industry in Mohali Ludhiana belt will help getting Punjabi youth more work
25. I think this news is very good for Punjab in general. Agriculture based economy is any case a loss proposition. Punjab youth is better served if they leave agriculture and move to industrial, service sector jobs .Also international jobs too should be created. Chaps from UK, Canada can Relocate to mini hi tech towns near Ludhiana for good career in outsourcing service industry. May be organic food based agriculture too can get boost for Punjab farmers. Full points to Manmohan singh in centre and sukbir badal in Punjab to get necessary clearance http://www.financialexpress.com/news/BAPL-...udhiana/411155/
