  1. Jassa ji, animals and plants are not the same. Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji showed us this when he prescribed Jhatka for killing animals. The teaching are their Singh. Just like animals and humans are not the same but God exist i n all three.
  2. Singhs that preach vegatarianism, but still buy leather products or other animal products are not aware of their actions. Just don't ask these Singhs, unless you want swords to come out. From your tooth paste to the car you drive be aware of what your doing. A part of Sikhi is to be self-aware of your actions. Guru Nanak Dev ji spoke of this kind of hypricosy that existed in the brahmins. Live your life, just don't be a hypricrote.
  3. do you sleep at 8 and wake up at 2 ? they only thing between rehras and kirten sohela should be dinner and sam sambhal --- guru bilas patshahi 10 ... I dont do you keep two kangas in your hair ? hukamnama of bhai dayea singh --- 1st peyara do keep a sword in your hair ? the only sword which was found from the angitha of guru gobind singh is sword which they kept it in there hair whose darshan is done by sangat everyday at hazzor sahib ... search youtube and have darshans ... if guru sahib kept sword in their hair dont you think they must have included it in mareyada which we forgot today ... do you read bani from ladiwar gutka ? the only gutkas available till maharaja ranjeet singh jis time ... I dont and i can go on and on ... It should be we try to follow mareyada laid by guru sahib and ask any sikh he will say this ask even a missionary he will say the same and is sure about it ... but what about mareyada which we have forgotten with time ??? Jab lag khalsa rahe neyara tab lag tej deyo mai sara ... sara means whole ... we are khalsa we follow gurus mareyada we have his tej yet we find it hard to stand under a cold water shower on a cold day ... think about it ... i take bath with hot water even in summers though ... Singh, those Baba hugging comments I made are very much related to mareyada. This discussion has been heading in a deeper tunnel from the start. So for me, whether some call a certain aspect of so called the mareyada of Guru Gobind Singh sahib ji is true or not, doesn't concern me. Things have been added by Baba's and the Sants of the world. Like I told you before contemplate over the Shabad Guru and the answer will come to you. If you believe a certain Mareyada is the true way then go for it and follow it.
  4. That was not the answer to my question... may be ur saying if it contradicts me then its not gurus mareyada ... Lols now i can understand why u last time matched a meat eater and a lion from bhai gurdas vaar and a mughal in respect of a veggi a goat and sikhs who got shaahed ... tera kassor nahi hai singha its that ur borned learn ... have u taken amrit in presence of sri dasam granth ??? Now which mareyada says there should always be sri dasam granth sahibs parkash in an amritsanchar ... you accept it or not you are very much confused over mareyda in reality and mareyada in your mind ... best of luck ... What's this obession with which mareyada. No wonder others see Sikhi as just a rule book. Can't do this Can't do that, sound like old grandma's waving their canes. Then next they'll ask which jatha you from. LOL I'm so glad God kept me beyond this foolish behavoir. I follow the Mareyada that was laid down by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji. If people want to see these Baba hugging people in action. Go to a Gurdwara where a Baba of theirs is to show up and do katha. All they keep talking about is when Baba ji going to come, where is he, he should be here by now. Then one fool would say, Baba ji isn't here, with a concerned look and then go running off saying ooohhh man this isn't good Baba ji isn't here. Buncha lunatics. Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is sitting there ready to teach, but these Baba huggers are blind. Should make one big machine that will slap the sense back into them all at once. Just gather them up by telling them Baba ji is coming. watch them come in flocks. And guess what this is how new 'mareyadas' get made. The baba tells them to not do something and bing! It"s true, no questions asked. Is there bigger moorakh than this. That don't even look toward the really Baba, Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. OHHH, these individuals will question Guru Sahib, but never their Baba, and you know why because he has feet you can touch.LOL
  5. yeah, let's see them. Well if its general knowledge then you should also know that women were present on 1699 and took Amrit. Today women take Amrit along with men. No different paath is read for women or anything. yeah, I think a mareyada that contadicts itself is not Guru Sahibs mareyada. Singh, taking Amrit is very sacred. And if you want to feel something "magical" after taking up amrit then your taking Amrit for the wrong reason. If you want to know physically and spiritually God is closer then that's what going to happen. Speaking from personal experience. Took Amrit at a young age and was blessed enough few days later to feel God's presence when doing Naam Simran. Some go take Amrit because it seems like a nice thing to do. The devotion isn't there. The love for God isn't there. What do you think you'll get in return. A seat in God's court. It's not about reading 5 Banis in the morning three in the evening and one a night and then inbetween do Naam Simran. If you see it as that, then your going to be getting the same results. The so called "magic" wont show up on your door steps. Wake up in the morning with devotion and love for God. Do 5 Banis because your devoted and the love for God is there. Not just because the Punj Pyare have said so. But because it's your desire. Just how one desires to have nice things in life. The desire to be with God has to be 1 million times stronger. Once that desire is there then watch the magic show. Watch the fire works. And everything else is just a show. Many Gursikhs have the magic which you desire. How did they get it and others are stuck saying it doesn't work, because of their lack of love and devotion. Walk up to a Gursikh and just ask them why do you do what you do. The words love will come right out. First you'll get a sigh and a smile. Blaming Amrit because of your inability's is what a Moorakh does. The person gives up on himself, but blames Amrit!!!! How fool hearted this is. Maybe the Punj Pyare were not Gursikhs, maybe they read one line wrong, maybe they didn't cut the Amrit as much, maybe they didn't etc etc etc. Give this foolishness up. The Granthi is there, the Panj Pyare are there, Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is there, Dasam Granth is there. Everything is done as prescribed by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji. The problem lies closer to home. If you want to follow a certain Mareyada then that's your choice. Really doesn't matter to me. If you think of it Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji left us with one Mareyada. And from this one Mareyada many new ones were created to suit one's mindset. Contemplating over the Shabad Guru this real Mareyada becomes clearer and clearer. So instead of just going with the crowd. Contemplate over Gurbani and see what kind of answers come up.
  6. Present this proof. Present the Hukamnams Present these hard hitting historical facts. You have blood sisters and then spiritual sisters. You treat both of them the same, but do you go up to every spiritual sister say Fateh and then give them a hug. Now think of it if you give your blood sister a hug. There will be two different response here. The latter will smile(blood sister) and the first(spiritual sister) will smack you or give a response closer to this. Man and women get married, what happens-two souls become one, but there in two body's. Now are they just spiritual brother and sister, no they have been blessed by Guru Sahib to be husband and wife. They have taken on a deeper relationship with each other. What's these two individuals goals in life, to be with God. Jassa ji, in your mareyada, to what I understand is that a Amritdhari man has to marry an non Amritdhari women and once they get married she still can't take Amrit till they have the amount of kids they want and once they do then she can take Amrit. And once she does then this couple has to live as brother and sister. This doesn't make sense because we treat every women as sister and it doesn't matter if there Amritdhari or not. In your mareyada a man can't even get married.
  7. Wasn't Mata Sahib Kaur there. If today women find it hard to bring their men along nowadays then what chance was this happening 300 years ago !!!!!! This theory these guys present is completely wacko. It doesn't matter if the women has taken amrit or not we still consider them our sisters. Some of these guys are just making up excuses so they can fantasize about other women. Get that mind out of the gutter and SHE IS YOUR SISTER. YOUR SISTER!!!!! That'll set them straight
  8. $15.000 reward You killed it man. End of discussion. These Muslim Fanatics are digusting
  9. They mostly like do this because in the eyes of the parents and other elders they are sitting doing paath and then going to the Gurdwara, they are good kids, applies to both genders. It's a cover to do what their heart truly desires which is getting involved in worldly affairs. And some are just having a tough time choosing what's best for them and they end up on both sides. Can't judge and say all do it, but we can't deny it isn't happening. Just ignore these characters and focus on yourself. They're only fooling themselves no one else at the end of the day.
  10. here's another one God won't ask how many friends are haters, but will ask how many you didn't judge
  11. Start with the three pillars of Sikhi. Meditate on God name, make an honest living and offer selfless service. Do these three things everyday and your on a great start. And wake up early in the morning for doing paath. 2 in the morning is the time majority Gursikhs get up for Amrit Vela and if you think that's too early then just build to it. Go to sleep one hour before and wake up two hours earlier. So if the normal time for you to go to sleep is 11 then go to sleep at 10 and wake up at 6. YOu only need eight hours of sleep. And you don't have to do it in one or two or three days. Gradually build to getting up at 2 and after your done your simran at AmritVela, some take a nap for half an hour or hour. When your starting off it's a good idea. This way if you go to sleep at 9, your still getting 5.5 to 6 hours of sleep which is more than enough. And your body will start adjusting to it and you won't even know the difference. AmritVela is really important!!!!!
  12. Thanks for the read. Any more like this. Just copy paste them on this site. They are much needed on all discussion sites.
  13. Sorry, but that's broken punjabi couldn't understand it all. Sure Badal has changed alot, but even Nihangs have gone off track by doing Jhatka regularly. And Rehras Sahib and Anand Sahib split reading have been changed by the British Raj. Not condeming Jhatka, but asking questions about why the double standards. Hey, your in Hazur Sahib can you get this one question answered for me. If meat and vegetarian food are the same on the food line then why is there a different way to kill an animal for meat and for vegetables we can just do as we wish. Keep in mind the shabad by Guru Nanak Dev ji which says the sugar cane is suffering in pain being crushed between the wooden rollers. So why the double standard? Really need an answer here. Not just messing around here trying to cause trouble. Thanks in advance
  14. Keerpa Singh, you wanna take this one. LOL What can you say, it's over my head LOL Hahahahahaa what happened to you "Only Five". Even You can answer this ...anyways Well Keerpa I too expecting your comments and I promise I will not poak my nose. Over to you keerpa. Bye HAHAHAHHAHAA This kid don't get jokes. HAHAHAHHAA
  15. Keerpa Singh, you wanna take this one. LOL What can you say, it's over my head LOL Hahahahahaa

Why is Guru Sahib saying offering flowers to an idol is being ignorant and blind? Because in the next line he says they are lifeless. Then if you look a few lines down Guru Sahib says: Offer the Guru sacred foods, clothes, silk and satin robes of all sorts; know that He is True. The merits of this shall never leave you lacking. ||4|| So when a person brings a ramalla for the Guru it is seen as a good thing. I know some complain, why are they doing this. The above tells us too. If you look at some sects, jatha or a group that says they are not a group, but they are. Consider this a wrong action to decorate where Guru Sahib is sitting. It shows respect, love and has merit. Nothing wrong with showing Guru Sahib love. The wrong action comes when you try to make a big show out of it and say look at me I am giving Guru Sahib this and that. This is considered wrong. Now looking at Aarti, would it be wrong to do Aarti of Guru Sahib, No. Some look at Aarti of idols and then quicky judge, if it is wrong for doing it to idol then it's wrong to do for Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. A question to ask is, is Guru Sahib lifeless like the idol! NO Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is full of life. We recieve spritiual wisdom from Guru Sahib. Showing your love by throwing flowers on Guru Sahib has no wrong act. It's expressing your love toward Guru Sahib in a different way. Throwing flowers on Guru Sahib for attention and trying to be the brahmin that does it for show is the wrong act. That's my take on it.
  18. is there a shabad where Guru sahib tells us doing Aarti is wrong and it shouldn't be done. To look at Aarti of a Hindu and the same apply's to Sikh would be wrong. because a Sikh is not doing Aarti of a stone, but of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, which is not an idol. 19. The Taksal says only meat is allowed if it is for survival need and every plant and leaves have been aten. Here is a video there is two parts to it. Sant Jarnail SIngh ji Khalsa had bigger things to deal with in his time. The freedom of Sikhs was at hand. To cause division between the panth at that time would have been a foolish thing to do. yeh cos all the leaves and plants were eaten at Madho Das's hut when Guru Ji told the Sikhs to kill the goats. and we have just as big issues, probably even bigger issues than Sant Jarnail Singh in his time, so why are YOU casuing division between the panth. at the time of Sant Ji the indian govt was the enemy. now we have all the deras, indian govt, extremist muslims youth drug problems etc to fight. Take a leaf out of Sant Jarnail Singh's book and concentrate on the bigger threats to sikhs rather than dividing us further. Let Khalsa Raaj come and then and then only, will this pointless deabate be settled. Singh do you see me going to the Nihangs and telling them to stop and causing an big up roar. It's goodto discuss and get answers. We all should be asking this question and it doesn't matter how much you consider this question as poison. Questioning leads to finds and finds lead to Truth. Have the courage to question your own belief system. Ask why and be willing to answer your own whys. I sat down a thought about this jhatka tradition. At first i just looked at it and said who cares just another tradition certain group likes to perform. But when I thought of it somethings that Singh Sahba Canada says about this meat issue did not make since, like saying meat and plants are the same on the food line. And when I thought of it alot of people say they are on the same foods aswell. So since you say they are then give me and others the backing of your finds. Nothing is to hide nothing is to decieve. Just answering and answering. Then you guys can have a big laugh aswell. This <banned word filter activated>(me) wouldn't stop asking why. So tell this <banned word filter activated> the answer and it's over. And I'll post the answer to other sites aswell. So what I have been asking is why different methods for the same food? Better yet if anyone can give me the email of Singh Sahba Canada, I'll present this theory, article, piece of **** whatever you want to call it to them. Maybe someone there knows the answer. I Agree. Why do they?.....We'll soon find out..... Ironic. Do I have to spell it out? who is the fool here? Let alone going to do something about it, you cannot even control your feelings......... No need to get personal. You didn't understand what I was saying.LOL Now now easy there no need to get on your feet and start swinging at air.LOL Just RELAX and read.
  20. Can you confirm this with facts of history. Because if it's true then we should be asking why did they use this practice so long ago. i dont know how better is taste of meat then veggis ... seriously i likes choley the most ... isnt that a taste ... and i think everyone here is strucked into the desire of his tongue ... and if we are decided on just the taste bases i m sure we all will land up in same narak ... do practice one thing to check ur self vegi or non vegi do u have desire of taste or not ... eat simple dal chaval 6 days all the three times ... and on seventh day tell ur mum to make rajmah and karahi panner and moong di dall da halva ... keep it on one side of table and on other side simple dall chawal ur everyday diet ... and listen to your mind if it says taste some of that to ... no matter if u supress ur mind and eat your dal chawal yet u have desire of the tongue ... now the matter is what we want to do with desire of tongue ... we want to blame others that u have it ... we want to fool god that i m vegi hence i dont have any attachment to tastes ... or we want to accept it and work on it ... choice is our ... Meat is not needed for the body. The body can survive off plants. And you still haven't answered the main question. Why the double standard for meat and plants, when meat eaters say plants and animals are on same on the food line. Can you not survive without meat. if you say no then that tongue is controling you. And this trivial stuff about how much Bani the person does is leading nowhere in this direction. Gurbani says if a person remembers God for a second he can be saved. leave this talk out. Again trivial things. Why look at the weak. Do you see me pointing out the weak to justfy anything. No because I don't look at the weak and say, look I'm better. In Jap ji Sahib on ang 4 it says whatever you do to the body affects the soul. So it does matter what you put in the mouth and why. Everything we do in this world has a deeper meaning behind it. I choose not to ignore it because this makes me more self aware and conscious of what I am doing. Guru Sahib teaches us to be concsious 24/7. Eating simple does not include meat. I don't eat meat and not adding flavor doesn't change anything. Meat is still meat. Meat is not needed for the body. So why do Jhatka. Are they short of sabzi or daal are they in the jungles fighting wars. NO they are home filling there guts and saying look I see blood I can kill a human in war now. Foolish behaviour. Singh we don't live in those times. Sure if they did it for survival needs. Nothing wrong with it. If the same thing happens now and the Khalsa ends up eating meat. No one will say anything. But again we are not in war or in need to kill innocent animals to get our daily body needs. Why are Banis read and why are ardas done. Why chose a special Singh to do it? About the Banis, if there read to thank God then it's all good, but to make an offering to God then you just proved my point that it didn't solve anything. Same goes for Ardas. if it's done to purify the goat or offer the goat to God then brother we have a serious problem. I am just going to leave it. Your not reading in context Singh. It's dropped on my end So the question goes unaswered. Why have a double standard for meat and plants when both according to the meat eaters they are the same on the food line.? Or is one higher or lower on the food line than the other and that's why one is told to be killed with one strike. So far it's heading in this direction. Just want someone to answer this simple question.
  21. Yoga as for fittness isn't a bad idea. But yoga for trying to reach god. You can bend the body in anyway you like this won't get you closer to God. Only makes your ego grow bigger. You will be sayin, Look what I can do. LOL Raj Yoga as another member said is permitted for Sikhs. Which is just meditating on Waheguru or doing paath. Stilling the mind.
  22. VahegurooJiKaKhalsaVahegurooJiKiFateh! Great stuff, many thanks to you for the article. VahegurooJiKaKhalsaVahegurooJiKiFateh! I e-mailed Nanak Singh Nishter aswell about my finds, but he hasn't responded back yet(hasn't been long since i did it). I'll be waiting for what he has to say about it. It's something we can't ignore. Well, I believe i have an idea in which direction this finds point aswell do others that looked into it, but let's see what Mr. Nishter has to say about it. And do if you wish present it to anyone else that is in support of Jhatka as done today to read it and see his/her response to it.
  23. LOL But all jokes aside. Why do we let a sugar cane suffer a painful death and the goat gets the one slice. if a sugar cane and goat is the same according to meat eaters then why the difference in killing style. Why the double standard? Lollll they probably feel more brave cutting something moving, makes them more man'ly you see! hahahahaa but it's still not moving cuz another guy his holding the legs and staring right into the rectum hahahahahahaha
  24. Interesting. You are still denying to make any approach about jhatka.....if you actually believe you are true, then go for it. Protest outside hazoor sahib, if you have a jatha, then get some wooden signs 'Animal Proctection!' 'I demand goats not to be jhatkaed, four times a year'. Unless your willing to go on your own, then I wish you the best of wishes you some back untouched....... There are ways to confront practices and stubborn people that won't let go of their ways. Storming someone is what fools do. Well yess and the fact that they'll kill you or should i say "chatka" HAHAHAHAHA They don't believe in freedom of speach there. Straight to, if they don't like your view, gut your *** and make a steak out of you. LOL But making a thread on SS about it what the sane ones do Ah I just couldn't help myself No worry's i knwo it was all in fun But on the serious side. The arguement is a good one and still not a single person attempt to cut at it. Which is a bad thing for me. It just can't be that simple right! or can it! Here's a thought... If they really want to chatka, if anything they should let the animal fight for it's freedom....looolllll Chatka the goat without any help or any strings and stuff. Then i'll see you this Nihangs stands a chance, i mean after all the nihangs are lions. LOL But all jokes aside. Why do we let a sugar cane suffer a painful death and the goat gets the one slice. if a sugar cane and goat is the same according to meat eaters then why the difference in killing style. Why the double standard?
  25. It just can't be that simple right! or can it!
