  1. http://www.islamawar...m/convince.html Theres counter arguments here http://www.whyichosesikhism.com/?p=sic Be aware of Al-Taquia the concept which allows Muslims to lie. The prophet Muhammad married a 6yr old had sex with her when she was 9. The quran tells muslims its ok to have sex with your slaves. It promotes abudction, murder, fighting, killing. shariah law is proof of this. There is many calls for Muslims to go and convert women, go to your local SAS talk sikh awareness society.
  2. The worlds on fire, but we really can not be so pessimistic look at God in people as well move past and become optomistic be chardi khala, fill yourself with pyaare. Its kaljug, kaljug can be a mindset we can look at the lesson of Bhai Kaniye Ji, he gave water to what others thought is our enemy. In life we are our own worst enemy and our own best friend.
  3. 18 pages of quotes from gurbani on caste here download spead and enjoy caste.doc Heres 1 quote which is not in the document; Jo Sikha Ko Puche Jaat Soh Sikh Nahi Mero Aad Jugaad Those who ask a sikh's caste, they are not my sikh, they never were, and they never will be --Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Jee Maharaj) There is a tiny misconception in your question which you asked. First of all when someone is administered amrit approved by panj pyare they enter the khalsa panth after which they have no caste at all, humanity don't have a caste but by politics and religion vastly dominated by India people were made to think they did hence open racism. It was believe God created people from his head arms, legs and feet. 4 sets of people priests, warrior, workers and untouchables anybody who rejected the system or was not indigenous to the land was untouchable. Most Sikhs descent from Hindu untouchable and worker clans, the worker clans include farmers and carpenters, the Hindu traditions prominently continue within Sikh embraced converts or semi-converts so the practice of caste as a race is a ritual still practices by rural individuals. Your a grown women you can choose what you want in your life its up to you if you want to live your life seeing God in all or if you want to be a racist full of ego, pride and hate. But the practice is forbidden, when getting married as an amrithdhari you should seek someone as a partner not on basis of ancestory, wealth, looks or any other supefical item but however look at there spirituality. Spirituality defines lifestyle and marriage is the next step in life which you need to share your lifestyles and be each others backbone and mirror.

Some kenyan style turban images Sikh from British regiment; the british would court martial anyone who trimmed even 1 hair of there body, the british knew this was the source of the Sikhs warrior strength Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh GNNSJ Bham doing Ardas Baba ji Puran Singh Kericho wale Sikh being inspected by British superior in Sikh regiment Vedanti ex jathedar of akal takht playing Golf, today most jathedars and head granthis of akal takht and harmander sahib and other takhts wear this style which is formed from the kenyan style it is flat folded and can have 8-12 laars in India Fashionable Sikh guy has interleaved 2 turban materials cleverly in Kenyan style to produce the effect having a separate material for fifty Guru Nanak Neshkaam Sewak jatha kirtan program Jathedars and Bhai sahib they do not have back laars in there dastars, nor start from mouth Bhai sahib from G5media doing kirtan many more photos of youths to see Bhai Mohanpal Singh from G5media doing kirtan many more photos of youths to see Bhai Jagjeet Singh Juggy from G5media doing kirtan many more photos of youths to see Sikh from african descent his father was Sikh respected followers of yogi bhajan 3HO Sikh meets boy ruler of persian nation Sikh from 1970s the most style when the kenyan style is thought of with huge points, the fashion of bigger points was prominent in kenya lesser in Uk Sikh from Sikh regiment Turban rocket from Sikhnet.com Bhai Sahib Sri Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan master of kundalani yoga 3ho Bhai Mohinder Singh GNNSJ Bhai Mohinder Singh GNNSJ Sikhs doing Gatka in Kenya sporting kenyan style turbans Sikh bagpiper 2 turbans interleaved GNNSJ Sanjha program If any of the copyright holders or people presented in this do not want to be displayed please drop me a message I will edit the post or administrator of the forum can remove. 5. Its a simple procedure (or algorithm) watch these 2 videos and study them try follow along best way to learn is ask someone to show you and learn practically. at the moment these 2 videos as close as that turban style comes. The key to this style is in the front point how big you want this (depends on how far back or near you finish your first laar and how you finish it) also key is you ear lobes, if you are going to expose you ear lobes and if so how much. The material you use I will recommend Full voile, malmal f74 is the proper material for a real as they say small hat like kenyan paagh people starch that material to thinken up, its best you tie your turban everyday take it off layer by layer and tie layer by layer, i will suggest tying a patka or keski/parna underneath anything as a base. If you want a bigger turban use the material called Rubia. Ignore this nonsense about jatt and tarkhan paagh. Both turban styles are worn by Sikhs who descend from both Hindu caste ancestories, the african style was made famous by the British Sikh regiment who was employed and settled in east africa this also included Sikhs of hindu jatt ancestory. And the Indian desi style was made famous by the patialla raja, its called the patialla shahi 2 5mtr malmal f74 material stitched width wise with a small amount of starch the colour of the fifty and material reflects the patialla fashions of seasons, modifications and alternations of the 2 exist but in essence both turbans follow the same procedure and are different pretty much in folding style and smaller adjustments which people tend to apply from either style to either one. Step 1) get 5 meters of full voile fold it width wise perfectly flat, crease free, wrinkle free, perfect with alot of tension taking care as the better this is the better the turban and easier to tie Step 2) Start from your mouth region take the material over from your left hand side in a perfect layer going in a / fashion back to the left repeat the goal of this procedure is to start with a / to slowly repeat till you get a \ the combination produce upside down v or A repeat this in a rubber band method. Your left side goes up while your right side goes down. Your adjustments of this procedure will allow you to personalise this style to your comfort, style, headshape and fashion style. It may be nice to take a reference image of some bodies turban style and to mimic. I really like Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh's style http://www.rfp-europe.eu/images//Mohinder%20Singh.JPG http://www.parliamentofreligions.org/_includes/FCKcontent/Image/bhai_sahib_mohinder_singh_ji.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1a/Bhai_MohinderSingh_GNSSJ.jpg However to do more like rdb style the difference is the V is extended wider out to make more of a _ shape this means you start higher up on your ear lobe and on the other ear finish earlier on, on the other ear lobe. once you have created the rubber band effect open the first laar cover the top tuck all 4 corners in, pull the laar back and tuck it in. This same procedure works for the Indian style just like both styles you need to take alot of care spend 1-2hrs when you first start work on it like a real piece of art, it is a deep expression and will personalise you. Try get what suits you. Some people like to iron the flat fold for a crisper finish. Choose your material carefully I highly highly recommend full voile. Best shop in London for turban materials is Global enterprise in southall near Sikh missionary society.
  6. VJKK VJKFji Hi just wanted to ask who actually created Sikhi to the max its a fantastic project and if they are ready to publish there source code and maybe move into an opensource project for this. Or to open up to a more bigger team of developers. I was thinking that it might be time we take advantage of voice recognition software now, so we can easily run queries to retreive shabad using sophisticated voice recognition software. These days during conferences we find very sophisticated algorithms in use which easily decode anyones speach into text, without training the software, and training software recognition packages are very common. Many people fear the finishing of the punjabi language if many programmers and maybe sgpc and funding by them come through we could develop a system in which when raagi reads something a salok is automatically found; this could lead to the future of easy on the go shabad finders, perhaps even help to provide subtitles for alpha etc punjabi harmander sahib and sikh channel bangla sahib live programs. Also maybe Sikhi to the max should be looking to output subtitle compatible media which broadcasters could use very easily. It would be nice if Sikhi to the max project would open up feedback bit, they have done a great job but its time to expand the project, the project has helped bringing Sikhi to older generations and newer ones but we need to keep up to date with technological trends. I know many say we should practice purthan tradations but we are risking loosing them if we are not ready to move with along with time and newer technology. VJKK VJKFji
  7. Some may say depression in west, however in eastern dharma and Sikhi we would descibe the state as biraag and bringing nirmata (humility) maharaj teaches us to make our self lower then the low to grasp the dust of the feet of the congregation. In pride/ego great corruption comes. In dukh we remember maharaj and without dukh (suffering) we would not have remembered god and the concept of sukh (peace) wouldn't exist. Another example of western psychology contradicting eastern dharma is also partners and marriage, the west propogates ideals of courtship and norm of promiscious behaviour while alot of easter dharma consider this utterly dishonourable and disgraceful, we are a lucky breed of people who can get to pick the best of both worlds and choose not to do 1 thing or the other. This is all Satgur da panne (all in the hands of God, he has written what shall happen). We all really need to help each other, we are one of the only quam who finds pleasure in ruining each other as if we are in some competition with one another. Yogi bhajan talks about this problem even gives his experiences with Baba Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale We all have a lesson to learn and should really do sarbat da pala, and help Sikhs and everyone else around us. As Sikhs we are a small minority of people 2% of India and smaller percentages around the world sooner or later our blood lines will mix, we are family, we will become family and we always were family even if we consider we all have one father, as a quam we need to help each other like ourselves as Humans we owe alot to this world and alot to do. May maharaj bless us all
  8. Alot of Sant Ji speaches are here http://www.esnips.com/web/santjarnail/ mp3 format you could rip them off the site, make some videos with them.
  9. You could ask a guru ghar, if your in central London ask Shepards Bush Gurdwara see what could be arranged.

    Universities

In London best are UCL and Kings, but it really depends year to year on president and commitee changes they can go up and down but these 2 tend to be up, other then them its Kingston Uni, however same thing comitee they can go up and down but Kingston just newly went up, you can make your own Sikh soc do stuff yourself if you can find a circle of mates you can do stuff together, go gurdwara simran, paath maybe under the soc or on your own.

    Unis

You should go to university for the course. It is best to find out first about the sylabus. Tell us lot what subject you want to do or are doing we might be able to tell you the best options. Brunel and City have majority of sharabi kebabi club raving people maharaj teaches us not to judge. What you need to concern yourself is with your study not people, in terms of universities with best Sikh sangats Kings university defo and UCL. Kingston University have picked up in there Sikh socs, but they are alike Brunel and City, if you can bring at least 10 amrithdhari Sikhs into 1 of these unis it will be proper fixed up, the thing is Amritdhari Sikhs are generally at higher end unis or do not unite and do Sikh socs together. When it comes to Oxford there are suprisingly alot of Sikhs there all these unis Sikh socs are on facebook join have a look at photos events you will be suprised in all Kings University has the best Sikh soc in London, but no mater where you go Boss events happen you can go to any of these talks and events. At university you should be most concerned with getting your grades and spend time talking with people on your course getting your grades. Look at where your grades take you, your mates who on a similar academic ability to you and where they apply, different unis are better for different courses, for Banking related courses City is one of the best in London with its CASS business School. Imperial is a really good uni. But these are some of the best maybe westminster, brunel, city, are for you if not no shame in going for roehampton and southbank, those unis let you in with low grades if you dont get your grades you can go for better unis with a HND foundation degree course and get in. Best to look at your options, you go to uni so you can work afterwards you will most likely be at a better place if you work now, this country likes work experience more then anything, your experience can get you far. Unversity is what you make it, you can go to a crap uni and start a Sikh soc yourself do weekly simrans make mates no need to judge people we can learn something off everyone discussions and talks can be easily arranged. LSE Sikh soc is combined with panjabi soc all they do is rave, Warwick didnt even know if they have a Sikh soc, SOAS is dead nothing happening there, Westminster Sikh soc is picking up, Imperials also picking up, best Sikh socs in order are Kings and UCL.
  12. Just like to post a conversation about dasam granth which a friend had with a person who does not support dasam granth (subject y). Now could anyone give any comments about subject Y's claims. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ x You've made that group about sri dasam granth sahib ji, so you don't believe in it?, you deal realise 3 banis in the amrit sanchaar from sri dasam granth sahib ji. Yes Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj is our Guru, but Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji is an important part of the Sikh Panth, have you even read it. y Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Yes, I realize everything. I have read both. In fact, I read Guru Granth Sahib Ji before reading Dasam Granth. Yes, I have read both granths and understand philosophy of both. As for Nitnaim and Amrit Sanchar banis, that is our rehat marayda. Panth has full right to make changes to rehat maryada. Therefore, once Sikhs realize the truth, rehat maryada will be fixed to have all procedures based on Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Dasam Granth is work of poets. Their names are: Shyam, Raam and Kaal. I am not making this up. Evidence is contained in Dasam Granth itself. x okay send me proof where this is written then? I don't see no reference to it? Most banis start with Sir Mahavak Patshai Dasvin which means The sacred utterance of The Tenth Sovereign, so ur saying amrit given is invalid? y Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Amrit is never invalid. Gurbani is the Amrit. Gurbani is always valid. Gurbani is Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Khanday Kee Pahul ceremony is just the entrance to Khalsa Panth. How we proceed from there is what determines if we are Khalsa or not. It is true that three banis and ardass are from Dasam Granth. This is a panthic decision. Panth has the right to make changes whenever Panth gets together. Until then, we continue to go with the existing maryada. Were you looking for proof about poet Shyam? A couple quotes are below. Feel free to send a message if you require more quotes. {੨੪ ਅਵਤਾਰ ੧} Abe Chaubees Uchro Avtaara Jeh Bid Tin Kaa Lkhaa Akhaara Suneeaho Sunt Sbai Chitt Laaee Burnutt Shyam Jathaa Mutt Bhaaee 1 Now I describe the twenty-four incarnations as their play was played. All saints are to focus on the story and listen. Shyam (poet) is stating them according to his own understanding. 1. So Kub Syaam Taa Ko Khai Chadusvo Avtaar 4 {24 Avtar, 37} When Vishnu prepares to kill Mudh and Keetab demons, Poet Shyam calls him the 14th incarnation. 4. Please feel free to send a message back to ask further questions or seek clarification on any points. x but there is no references to this in the banis used for the amrit sanchaar or banis such as akaal ustat, chandi di vaar, bichtaar natak etc y Yes, you are right that there is no mention of these poets in those sections. Poets identify themselves at various places. If we examine the beliefs presented in other writings, they are similar to beliefs where the poets mention their names. Chandi di vaar does a direct attack on Guru Granth Sahib Ji and its teachings. It says: Durgaa Paath Bnaayaa Sabhe Pauriaa, Fir Na Joonee Aayaa Jin Eh Gayaa meaning All the stanzas have been written for Durgaa. Anyone who recites this will never come into reincarnation again. Is saying that someone will get mukat by reading chandi di vaar not going against Guru Granth Sahib Ji? This is like saying, just read chandi di vaar, no need to read Gurbani or implement it into life. Bachitter Natak, which is called APnee Katha, sings praises of Mahakaal. Mahakaal has 4 arms, drinks liqor, wears anklets, smashes bells, etc. Bachitter Natak also sends Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to tirbeni, a Hindu pilgrimage site, for birth of a son. I will provide powerpoint presentations in the future to give details. Guru Granth Sahib Ji says: Ika Bani Ik Gur Ikko Shabad Veechar Pothi Parmesur Kaa Thaan Guru Granth Sahib Ji is complete Guru. That is why Guru Granth Shaib Ji was given Gurgaddi in 1708. Anti-Sikhs couldn't digest Sikhs being followers of one so they created and instroduced DG into us. Sorry for making this long but if you are capable of understand Punjabi, I could link some videos about Dasam Granth. x please send as many as possible quotes on the claims. If we consider the two granths sri add guru granth sahib and sri dasam granth we would expect to see similar theme the ideal of avtars and reality of them are present in both granths. If anything the Dasam Granth would be anti-Hindu and it would be for the best intrests of the Indian Goverment to remove such a granth. In regards to linguistics away from tradational punjabi we start to see elements of braaj and other languages present from modern day punjabi so it is easy to make a mistake so bhul chuuk maaf kare maharaj. If you need anti-hindu quotes from both granths there are loads let me know. Te bhuj bal bavre hvai gad|| Poojat Param Purakh raih gad||6|| Who became mad with power and abandoned the worship of Supreme Purusha.6. ਤੇ ਹਮ ਤਮਕਿ ਤਨਕ ਮੋ ਖਾਪੇ ॥ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਠਉਰ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਥਾਪੇ ॥ Te ham tamak(i) tanak mo khaape|| Tin koo thaur devtaa thaape|| I destroyed them in no time and created gods in their place. ਤੇ ਭੀ ਬਲਿ ਪੂਜਾ ਉਰਝਾਏ ॥ ਆਪਨ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਕਹਾਏ ॥੭॥ Te bhoo bal(i) poojaa urjhaae|| aapan hoo Parmesar kahaae||7|| They were also absorbed in the worship of power and called themselves Ominipotednt.7. ਮਹਾਦੇਵ ਅਚੁੱਤ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥ ਬਿਸਨ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕੋ ਠਹਿਰਾਯੋ ॥ Mahaadev achutt kahnyo|| Bisan aap hoo ko thahiraayo|| Mahadeo (Shiva) was called Achyuta (blotless), Vishnu considered himself the Supreme. Brahmaa aap Paarbrahm bakhaanaa|| Prabh ko Prabhoo na kinhoon jaanaa||8|| Brahma called himself Para Brahman, none could comprehend the Lord.8. if you need more let me know remembering professor darshan singh has also made an illiterate mistake in judging the 3rd person as 1st within the chitrapakhian bani for Rai. Most claims against dasam granth are being made by people clearly illiterate in the text. And those literate in the text have confirmed its authenticity. Hence this is why the sgpc all panthic groups sat down and declared it as bani. y Government isn't againt Dasam Granth. RSS has said that they would like parkash of Dasam Granth is all Gurduawaras. Hindus say Guru Ji worshipped devi by quoting Vaar Durgaa Kee aka Vaar Sri Bhagautee Jee Kee after title change. Did you know that the original name for Vaar Sri Bhagautee Jee Kee was Vaar Durgaa Kee? It was changed to not sound too Hindufied. If Vaar Durgaa Kee is Gurbani, who gave permission to anyone to change title from Vaar Durgaa Kee to Vaar Sri Bhagautee Jee Kee? There was a writing called Vaar Bhagautee Kee in Dasam Granth before Dasam Granth was edited in 1897 to be standardized. Who gave permission to anyone to remove writings from Dasam Granth if Dasam Granth is Gurbani? Does God get angry? Prof. Darshan Singh didn't make any claims. He just restated what was said at Dasam Granth seminar by Savinder Singh at Sacramento. Link is below: Pyara Singh Padam, one of best scholars that Dasam Granth promoters had until Lamba came along, also said that story from Charitropakhyan is a personal life story of Guru Ji. Prof. Darshan Singh opposed this view at New York and Lamba did cutting and editing of his video to defame him. Being anti-Brahma or anti-Vishnu or anti-Mahesh isn't being anti-Hindu. There are many sects in Hinduism. Some consider some devta high and some consider devi to be high and Shakti mat considers Mahakal to be the greatest. Also, please think about the stanzas you just posted. God kept on making mistakes by creating something he didn't desire and then kept making changes? First he created demons but they didn't do what he wanted? Isn't God all powerful? Can't God make anyone become a Gurmukh? Even demons like Kauda became Gurmukhs. God of Dasam Granth seems worried and seems to be seeking sympathy. This sure isn't God as described in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. x You are aware that Shyaam is linguistically alike to Har both tracing there roots to Lord Krishna. The reference of the text for Shyaam is refering to God not a poet. y Which one? Kab Shyam? When you attach Kab in front of someone's name, you can't declare that person to be God. Key word there is poet. Shyam is poet's name. Krishan of Yasoda might be lord for someone else but Gurbani says: Tuom Jo Kahat Ho Nand So Nandan Nand Ko Nandan Kaanko Re Kabiiir Ko Swamee Ayso Thakur Jaa Ko Maee Na Baapo Re x when all bani belongs to God, why is he not a poet. bani says har ji mata har ji pita har is god so is shyaam god is profiled in gurbani to have many names y God, Akaal Moorat, came before Krishan of Yasoda. If we name someone Waheguru, that person won't be known as Waheguru as God. Same way, if Krishan was named Krishan, he wasn't God. God in nirankaar (formless), ajoonee (never comes or goes). Satgur Mera Sdaa Sdaa Na Aavai na Jaaye Oh Abenaasee Purakh Hai Sabh mahe Rehaa Smaaye x ਅਸੰਖ ਨਾਵ ਅਸੰਖ ਥਾਵ ॥ असंख नाव असंख थाव ॥ Asaʼnkẖ nāv asaʼnkẖ thāv. Countless names, countless places. So here they are: Raam, Shyaam, Govind. ||4||3|| Devotee Namdev Bear in mind this is all of Guru Granth Sahib y Everything is creation of God. Even liqor, cannabis, 5 vikaars, etc. Aurangzeb was also a creation of God. We don't worship creation. We sing praises of the Creator. Shyam is the name of the poet. Kab Shyam, Kab Raam. God isn't a human to write poetry. Gurbani is written under name of the author. Nanak for Nanak's lights. Kabiir for Kabiir. Farid for Farid. You get the idea. Same way, Shyam is used by peot SHyam in Dasam Granth to identify himself. x In respect to Guru Granth Sahib calling God a poet there are many instances of such here is one; Page 1389, Line Kab kal sujas gāva▫o gur Nānak rāj jog jin māṇi▫o. ||2|| KAL the poet sings the Sublime Praises of Guru Nanak, who enjoys mastery of Raja Yoga, the Yoga of meditation and success. Kab kal sujas Nānak gur gẖat gẖat sahj samā▫i▫o. ||10|| Says KAL the poet, the Sublime Praises of Guru Nanak intuitively permeate each and every heart. ||10|| Bard Kal-sahar y Yes, how are those quotes related to poet Shyam? Please clarify because I don't see any links. Of course Raam is a term for God because it means omnipresent. However, how is it related to Poet Shyam's work? If you totally ignore the word kab or shyam in writing, the quote will not make sense Did you even look at the arths of those quotes? They are there. It says poet Kal. Kal was a poet. He was a bhatt. You are quoting from Bhatt Swayas. You have know the meaning of what you are reading. By the way, Bhatt Swayas are another proof that when it says Poet Kal, it is none other than name of the poet. Same way, writers of Dasam Granth are identifying themselves. I don't see anyone saying Bhatts of Guru Granth Sahib Ji are pen names of Guru Nanak. Also, if you want. I can send you complete English or Punjabi translation of story 21-23 to know what Prof. was talking about. x send all quotes what ang of the dasam granth is this quote of yours on {੨੪ ਅਵਤਾਰ ੧} Abe Chaubees Uchro Avtaara Jeh Bid Tin Kaa Lkhaa Akhaara Suneeaho Sunt Sbai Chitt Laaee Burnutt Shyam Jathaa Mutt Bhaaee 1 Now I describe the twenty-four incarnations as their play was played. Sorry for the late reply. I am not making anything up. I have given page numbers from online DG version available at www.dasamgranth.org If you have the real DG in hard copy, first quote is the first quote from 24 avtars. It is on page 155. Second one is on 182 of DG. I dont' know page number from www.sridasam.org if you are searching there. It is hard to find things on that site because page numbers arne't proper there. Also, for quotes from Chariter 21-23. Do you need them in original text only? With Punjabi translations or with english translations? Send me a message and I will send you quotes. x ok sorry couldnt find exactly that quote could find other instances of poet shyam. the name is mentioned around 113 times in dasam granth. What you think about this site http://www.info-sikh.com/PageG4.html Guru Ji has varyingly used the pen-names of ‘Shyam’, ‘Ram’ , ‘Shah Gobind’ and ‘Gobind Das’ in his compositions according to the meter in which they fitted. Other poets like Ghalib, Zafar and Nand Lal have also adopted multiple pen-names, this should not therefore create any confusion in the minds of the readers of the Dasam Granth. ‘Shyam’ and ‘Ram’ were the nick names with which Mata Gujri Ji used to call Guru Gobind Singh Ji as a child. This also avoided Mata Ji uttering the word ‘Gobind’ occuring in the name of her father-in-law, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, according to the custom prevalent among Indian women at that time. The linguistics is important here, from ancient Indian culture we are aware that Lord Krishna was also known as gopal, shyam, govind, gobind, hari, har; •Achala - The still one •Achyuta - Infallible •Baanke Bihari -corrupt form of Van Ke Vihari which means one who loves to sport in the forests particularly vrindavan •Bihari - One who plays •Brajesh - Lord of Braja •Chakradhari - the bearer of a discus (chakra) •Damodara (Daamodarah) - the Lord when He was tied with a cord (daama) round His waist (udara) •Dinabandu - Friend of the afflicted •Dînânâth - Refuge of destitutes •Dwarakadish - Lord of Dwaraka •Dwarakanath - Lord of Dwaraka •Ghanshyam - Dark rain cloud complexioned one •Giridhari - he who lifted a hill (Govardhana hill) •Gopala - cowherd; protector of cows (more accurately protector of life) •Gopinath - Lord of the gopis, or cowherd women. •Govinda - protector of cows; also connected with Govardhana Hill; see also other meanings. •Guruvayoorappan - Lord of the temple Guruvayoor, constructed by the Guru of Devas Brihaspati and Vayu . •Hari - one who takes away [sins, or who wards off samsara, the cycle of birth and death]; [1] the yellow one (the colour of the sun); Hare Krishna is the vocative, viz. What is the identity of names ‘Shyam’ and ‘Ram’ that appear in some compositions of Dasam Granth? Answer. This misunderstanding about the appearance of names ‘Ram’ and ‘Shyam’ in the Dasam Bani was first created by the self-styled puritans called the bhasurias. They tried to prove that most of the Dasam Granth was written by the poets Ram and Shyam, names which occur in one or two compositions in the Dasam Granth. There is more than sufficient internal and external evidence in every composition to show that all the writings in the Dasam Granth were the works of Guru Gobind Singh. The names Ram and Shyam are used in some places as pen names. Actually speaking, they were not pen names but poetic translations of Guruji's names. Guruji's name Gobind is an attributive name of God; so also are Ram and Shyam. In Sikh theology the three words govid, ram and syam mean the same thing as the following quotations from the Guru Granth prove: siyam sundar taj nind kiun ai [Guru Arjan: Suhi] siyam sundar taj an jo cahit jio, kusti tun jok [surdas: Sarang] govid govid govid har govid guni nidhaan.... govid govid govid jap mukh ujhal pardhan [Guru Ram Das: // Kanra] ram ram kirtan gae ram ram ram sada sahae [Guru Arjan: Rag Gond] In all the above quotations from the Guru Granth the words ram, syam and govid mean the same thing; and so also they do in the Dasam Granth where they stand for Guru Gobind Singh. That is why two or sometime all three of these names occur in the same composition.* This practice of writing a synonym for the proper noun in the Dasam Granth applies not only to his own name but to many other names also. iln the Dasam Granth, Guru Gobind Singh writes Netra Trung for Naina Devi, Satdrav for Satluj, Dasampur for Anandpur, Shah Sangram for Sango Shah, and Madra-desh for the Punjab. Even in our own times Bhai Sahib Vir Singh's maternal uncle Pandit Hazara Singh wrote his name Hazoor Hari while his father Dr. Charan Singh wrote his name Charan Hari. Sardar Dharma Anant Singh, in his book Plato and the True Enlightener of Soul, writes the name of Sant Attar Singh as Mrigindus Atrus. So Ram, Shyam and Govind are synonymous names of Guru Gobind Singh. *In the Guru Granth the name Gobind is written both as ‘Govind’ and ‘Gobind’. But in Guru Gobind Singh's writings it always occurs with "b" as ‘Gobind’. Guru Gobind Singh spent most of his life in the Doaba area of the Punjab where the words with "v" are pronounced "b". Guru Gobind Singh Used it very often in his writings. He writes ‘bade bade’ for ‘vade vade’; ‘maru bajia’ for ‘maru vajia’; ‘abigat’ for ‘avigat’; ‘Bishnu’ for ‘Vishnu’; ‘barn’ for ‘varn’, and innumerable other cases. So Guruji preferred to write his name as Gobind and not as Govind. (Adapted from Dr. Trilochan Singh's historic article 'The History and Compilation of the Dasm Granth, published in 1955) y Please don't copy paste content from Lamba's website. I know what he says. Do you buy that excuse that Shyam, Raam, Gobind are used for God so Guru used several pen names? Is this according to Guru Granth Sahib Ji's writing method? What happened to Nanak? Guru Gobind SIngh Ji wasn't light of Nanak? Light of Nanak uses Nanak, Kabir uses Kabiir, Farid uses Farid. Similarly, Shyam uses Shyam and Raam uses Raam. Also: Shyam means beautiful Gobind means Master of the Universe (don't link it to cows) Raam means Omnipresent They don't have exact same meaning but are names for God because they describe God. Also, if someone is named Gobind Singh and he signs his name as Raam Singh, not only will his signature be rejected. There will also be jail time to serve. Integrity is a very important element of the Sikh faith. This is the reason why others respect it. All Gurus used Nanak. We don't see Khai Angad or Khai Amardas or Khai Arjan or Khai Tegh Bahadur. We see Nanak. These excuses of lamba and company might fool naive Sikhs but not those who have understood Gurbani. Why did all Gurus use Nanak? Because they were followers of Nanakian philosophy. Was tenth Nanak against Guru Nanak's philosophy? You mentioned Shah Gobind which comes in Sarabloh Granth. Sarabloh Granth mentions Gurgaddi given to Guru Granth. Names of Sahibzadas, Khanday Kee Pahul, etc. Then what is name Shah Gobind for? What happened to Singh? Guru ordered everyon else to add Singh while he was using names such as Raam, Shyam, Shah Gobind, Das Gobind, etc.? x Its difficult to translate with proper arth and perceive bani in various dialects of Punjabi known to us let alone Braj Basha in Dasam Granth. So then it comes down to either facts proove your point can you bring evidence of a mischevious person of this name, aswell as only asking a learned scholar in braaj badsha and punjabi languages. Its difficult to understand Shakespeare as it is, a rule of thumb in every 25 years in every 25 miles a language changes. "Studying Braj Bhasha literature, it can be noticed that most of the literature is of a mystical nature, related to the spiritual union of man with God. This is not at all surprising since virtually all of the poets were God-realised saints and their words are thus considered to be directly emanated from a divine source. Much of traditional Northern Indian literature shares this trait. All traditional Punjabi literature is similarly written by saints and is of a metaphysical and philosophical nature. Another peculiar feature of Northern Indian literature is that the literature is mostly written from a female point of view, even by male poets. This is because the saints were in a state of transcendental, spiritual love, where they were metaphorically women reuniting with their beloved. (In its inversion of the conventional genders of worshipper and worshippee, Maulana Da’ud's Chandayan departs from this tradition.)" y Dasam Granth is not difficult to translate at all. I sure got no problems understanding Punjabi. Poets weren't godly people at all. God people don't write stories to defame others. Godly people know who God is. They also know the difference between nirankar and mahakaal. I am not sure who Maulana Da'ud is and don't need to know either. Bachitter Natak 1 Bachitter Natak 2 Bachitter Natak 3 Bachitter Natak 4 Bachitter Natak 5 Bachitter Natak 6 x when old people couldnt understand gurmukhi and clearly a language barrier would exist for you, what makes you say you can understand BRAJ. the language is around bihar areas aint used in punjab. thanks for vids! you have a pind accent, aooo gah lol aai gah. your common punjabi is wrong. your an agent hired by pakistanis thats all, wanna destory our panth Learn proper punjabi, then learn Braaj and sanskrit before making an illiterate analysis your clearly ignorant from your spoken punjabi. y Hahahahaha! What jokes. So what if I speak pind punjabi? I am from Doaba. Doaba is different from majha and malwa. In Doaba, we talk like that. What does speaking pind type Punjabi have to do with knowledge? You are just looking for excuses. Me being hired by Pakistanis is a new one. Never heard that before. I have never seen the Pakistan border, let alone become their agent. Hahahahaha! Pakistani agent is a new one. What is next? British agent? Canadian agent? American agent? French agent? Then when those names run out. Alien? Arrived in UFO from another planet to cause problems on Earth? What is proper Punjabi? City one? I didn't know there was a special type of Punjabi called proper Punjabi. This is pure jokes. Illeterate analysis? That is jokes. Watch those videos with detail and get gyan. Enhancement of knowledge is always good. Once again, Pakistani agent comment was jokes. In reality, I am an agent of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Guru Nanak Ji was born is Pakistan, if you meant that by Pakistani, then that is cool and I appreciate it. I am a proud agent of Guru Nanak's mission. x lol, you've been proved wrong anyway. People like you will eventually even question the existence of Guru Gobind Singh Jee Maharaj. Why do you even say guru sahibs Fateh if you don’t believe he wrote anything. DHAN DHAN SRI DASAM GRANTH SAHIB JEE. You are just another awi pindu moorakh, why try and analyse Braaj basha when your punjabi is wrong. The reason your punjabi is wrong is because of the lack of education you poses, City punjabi- is what results from education in schools you are mispronoucing words, your punjabi grammar is incorrect and sentence structures wrong. Every city has a different accent however there are rule of grammar in punjabi which you are completely ignorant of. Also Guru Nanak was born in Talwandi 1469 in that time Pakistan didn't exist, it was still the land of Hind, The continent India, the state Punjab around Lahore. Pakistan was formed in 1947 and the captial of the city Lahore gone with 3 rivers to pakistan. So we can not say Guru Nanak was born in Pakistan, instead he took form in the place which is now present in modern day Pakistan.
  13. when it comes to work goora aint gona care if u got a long dhari or tied up neat short one, the problem for them is u got a dhari u can cut it, u can shave it then they dont want u to have a paag u can wear a bandana patka, they dont want that u can cut ur hair be a moneh, then they got a prob with ur kara, u take that off. Then they got trouble with ur skin colour. So dude dont listen to anyone else listen to ur Guru within, if you have pyare and satkar for guru maharaj kesh then keep it in true love for Guru Sahib with that rehat. If your kesh are in danger with your work such as building then tie it away from that. The people with the biggest problem with dharis is just our own Sikh people, in Punjab people pull each others jhoora/gutti cos its big or we cuss each others paaga/dastar/paghri/turbans. Do what you gotta do for yourself if you have that dedication, faith and sharda for satguru then keep dhara prakash. End of the day this body is a shell, what is within the shell the atma is the real us dont let maya confuse you, we keep this shell in such a way for satkar (utter true respect) of our satguru. If you dont feel the sikhi then why live hypocrisy, try and discover it. Your parents cant tell you what to do, they can advise you. But you can never make the world happy, and if you listen to people around you they will drive you crazy, because jinha mou, anionha gaala ( the more mouths, the more that is said). Most people will probably have a go at you for kesh when they don't understand the pyare with satguru themselves, its your spirtual journey you are the sant sipha not the people. The whole essence of a job interview is they get to know you, if you have pride for who you are, respect, dedication and are a true Sikh, the job will come to you easily, gursikhs have had great personalities since the British, Mughals and everyone else have known the Sikhs. If a work feels more at ease with your beard tied, you should not work for them they have a problem with you like that hence a problem with themselves and they will give you hassle. My opinion is Wash, condition, oil, comb, brush and maintain your dhara dont make it look like a random homeless dudes keep it like a Kings beard, the royal look works better, then a bunch of superglue on ur face and If you like dhari screwed up and stuck to your face to look like its cut or maintained then go for it.
  14. people use all sorts of products a scientific study showed that a clean open beard can help in avoiding lung related disease however a messy one will create more chance of lung cancer and more diseases. By applying gells and other products you are messing around with the hair pholicles that stop pollen and other things and you can glue on to yourself some dangerous stuff. Otherwise all the Indian-pakistani-afghani Singhs use Simco Fixer (fixo) blue bottle literally like super glue make sure you mix with good amount of water. It can lead to yellowing of beard, premature colour lose and funny smells. All the gells here and funny uk gells all (most singhs here like the shockwaves hairspray) come in and out of the market, the cosmetics are dangerous products not fully tested and long term effects could be dangerous, these gells and sprays are made for hair and thats all cut away in the end. The white putty gell won some awards works nice, but alot of gells will break your beard hair off and damage it. Brylcream works ok aswell, alot of gells smell funny and can cause dissyness, vomiting, etc. Some people just trimm it in the end due the longness of it all, but part of the kesh maryada is to accept guru roop, all 10 gurus dharis were long and open. The Sakhi of Baba Sri chand and Guru Ram das shows why a full open dhara is important http://www.sikhphilo...eting-siri.html . Also kesh was described as the opening to bir ras(warior spirit) great spirtual, mental and physical strength is related to it, everyone of your hair pholicles has a nerve ending and medical science hasnt still yet proved what true significance hair has. I would say go for Simco Hair fixo but mix it right with water, getting the right amount of water is hard some people thread it upwards in different ways, u can press it up with a cloth to, but don't worry about it, have shaan and uch maan, faaUkar in your Sikhi and kesh guru maharaj gave so much kurbani for kesh. and tieing your beard is a freshie thing to, a person looks more handsome with there beard open also as hard as it sounds to believe, there are actually loads of girls out there who like an open beard infact go for it, not just in our Sikh community but in others, infact there are Muslim women who want to marry Muslim men with full beards, Jews aswell, White girls and Black girls who like full Beards. If Muslims can have sharda for there prophets sunnah, why cant we have sharda for our Gurus sabat sorat.
  15. Veerji seems like you dont wana tell anyone, you really need to reflect inside yourself what made you pass that point in your mind with another girl regardless of what you did with her, when you commited to marry someone, married life is a life commitment, perhaps this girl is good for your spirtually. My own opinon is this girl that this nex girl that kissed you gonna cause your trouble, so be a man, do the responsible thing. Remember your in a relationship its not just about you its also about them. So dont break that girls heart, your old man seems to have it planned, you said your dad would chuck you out the house, you knew the line you crossed. But okay get it together, move on have some compassion for this girl your marrying. Veerji I believe in redemption and forgivness, so I can forgive you, but can you forgive yourself and move on, you need to understand there is nothing between you 2 except a small moment of lust, everyone has those slips but fix on the bigger relationship with your wife to be you have to be there for your wife in many ways, veerji I won't say anything about kesh or taking amrit but veerji when it comes to sharab this can come inbetween relationships they say in some punjabi saying that home which has sharab will never have any peace(sukh). So maybe you need to talk with your fiance about your feelings for her, it may seem you don't really like her and maybe your lying to yourself in which case you can't ruin her life or your own or any kids to bes. Get it together veerji and reflect on what you want, as I said before Only you truly have the answer to your own question. Reflect and Meditate.
  16. its never a good time, they keep releasing new stuff, a computer goes from high tech to low tech in a matter of days these days. You need to be focused on the purpose of it, if its for games or whatever these days most laptops can fufil most users needs. Go for it if you want, but xmas is clearance sales so ther will be a new model out by january, just go for your needs.
  17. Be aware alot of Hindus have intermarried into Sikh families, and most sikhs descend from Hindu ancestory bloodlines hence why the caste system exists in our people when it shouldnt, so intermarriages have happened. Your a grownup dude respect your parents but its your choice who you wana get married to, its your future no one can judge you for who you are and what you do only God can do that. You have already implyed you 2 wana get married and for her to say she ready to convert that comming from a girl is alot, its hard for people to find someone like that in there life she is ready to make a sacrfice for you, so your going to have to make one, perhaps with disagreeing with your parents Bruv if you listen to your parents and go for another girl from Sikh backrgound it might be one of the biggest mistakes you make ever, most Sikh background girls are more Hindu like then Hindus themselves, "hindunisation" of Sikh faith plays a role in that, Its your spirtual path aswell, but if your amritdhari then by rehat you can only marry another amritdhari she going to have to take amrit first, if your a sehajdhari veer then the only thing stopping you is what other people think, instead of what you think. Hope everything goes good

  21. Only you know your own answer, when you mean somethin happened implying thats a big problem then. Say you forget this girl get married to your fiance it will live with you as a big lie and your relationship can fall, so if you really wana get married to your fiance your going to have to tell her open up and she gonna have to be a big girl make a choice give you some real advice also I have to say when you met this girl what wher u thinking? And what kinda girl givers herself to a guy in 2days? ur getting married a commitment forever, what made you go for this other 1. Heres some gurbani for guidance. ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥ Soraṯẖ mėhlā 9. Also these marriages are predistined. So get direction from Guru Ghar go do ardas. If you wana make a decision based on your own mat then, its flipping a coin. 22. Take care Muslims might kill you, Muslims have to stone people to death for leaving the religion of Islam.
  23. There hundreds of these videos of the conspiracy theories people believe Indias goverment is fake RSS organisation controls it, there are freemasonic brotherhoods in Amritsar, one of the symbols of the freemasons the flower of life is on amritsar as a slab. Alot of the people that talk about these theories sound like nutters but in every era throughout our history the nutters were the people that made a change Einstein was a nutter. Its upto you if you wana be a norm the guy thats just as the rest of the world or a nutter. One person can make a difference, alot of these theories are either by Christians related to the Bible or Muslims related to Islam. There are some websites that claim sikhism is a fake religion we wear turbans to look like snakes, who are the snake masters repetiallians of the world, and the stalls and langar we do is only for us to go up in freemason order, in all honesty sounds like rubbish. What we can draw from it is that every one of these theorist says one bottom line; this war is not to take over the world, but to rob you of your soul, your consciousness. Physical death I do not fear, but death of the consciousness is true death - Sant Jarnail singh Bhindranwale. What we can draw from that is there are people trying to take our soul from us, and make us dead, bani describes this death, its a hedonistic life style, drugs, sex partying etc. the misdeeds of Sikhi, The actions against ourselves. So in all we rob ourselves the panj choor the theives steal from our houses but we are to blame. Sikhi teaches do simran 24/7, do sewa, eat little, talk little sleep little. Be alive but dead, everything is not about our desires but about God. We live not for ourselves but God. So what matters is our spirtual life live your Sikhi out, be true to yourself, everything else will come itself, no need to convert anyone or slander anyone or think of anyone apart from God if you want change, change will come from ourselves first, when we can look after our own homes then we can look after the outside, we need to do alot for our own mandir(temple). These bodies are a gift from God. If people really want to rule the world let them, the greatest evil expressed in every religion till today is Ego, Islam Christianity and Judaism described it in the story of the devil being the greatest Angel of God only to become the greatest demon, Sikhi describes it in dasam granth with the story of the demi gods again becoming corrupt. This nWo is nothing new, everyone wanted to be IT and great. They forget God and worshiped themselves become a true GurSikh that is how to fight this new world order, don;t let your Sikhi go, be a lighthouse be the light in the dark. shine the light on others by not letting your own light go. Guru Sahib tells us how we can rule the world "man jeetha jag jeet" - conquer your minds desires and you will conquer the world JAPJI SAHIB
