% of true Sikhs are decreasing if you take into account the total Sikh Population. There are lesser number of Sikhs who are becoming Amritdhari , or on the path to become amritdhari (sehajdhari) , % wise. Majority of modern Sikhs have started thinking the Sikhi Khalsa Saroop is not important and hair were important only at Guru's time and not now. Majority of them remain with their other religion friends and happen to visit mandir's , do idol worship , and become pseudo-SIkhs . Sikhs in India are lost , and your fear that Sikhs are decreasing ,it is infact true , in the sense that 'True Sikhs' are decreasing.Otherwise if you consider all versions of SIkhs (sehajdhari,amritdhar,monay and those now associated with cult Deras , some Hindu-SIkh families are there in Punjab) , the population of Sikhs is on rise surely. But the problem is that when Sikhism will need its warriors to come forward , the majority of these Sikhs won't even care . Just on a lighter note: I saw numerous videos on Youtube , monay-Sikhs celebrating Baisakhi with the Khalsa Flags in Hand and drinks in other , and there was one video , in which the Khalsa necklace is used by some so called SIkh rappers , like they are some gangster and all....thats just purely sad. And then I have seen youth shouting that 'We need Khalistan' when they have no idea that Khalistan means 'the primary land of the Khalsa' , and Khalsa means the 5 K's , and none of the youth's have any of the 5K's except the Kara maybe. As per my knowledge , 80& of rural Punjab Sikhs are cut-surds ... :6 ... and they work their @!$!! out to reach UK/Canada !! <_< , when they reach UK/Canada , they think its so cool to be with your punjabi-bharawaas and they act all cool , in the process the Sikhism is lost. So Yes , True Sikhism is on the decrease.

Thanks for the advise. By the way i do read Sikhi books and listen to Kirtan. I play kirtan and other meditation music when i try and meditate on his name. Im not looking for religion in other people. I am happy anyone who is happy follwing a religon but i just don't like it when people FORCE it on you. I mean Sikh Gurus gave their lives so that people could be free to choose what they wanted to believe in. They gave their lives so that Sikhs could have a religoin. I don't think Religion is garbage but i think it blinds you from searching the truth. I stand for freedom of choice, because i have no obligatgions to anyone and i should be a free man to lead the the life i want to live. Just tell your relatives (uncle/aunt) that whatever reasons you have been called in their home , the maryada is not even followed in their family , and tell all the thoughts you have in your mind , and then tell them that you think its best that you should go back to your parents , then listen to him patiently , As you say he's a religious person , he will surely tell you the best solution , if he has saccha faith in the Gurus and The Bani, his wisdom will give you the solution. I don't like the sound of proceedings. This pakhandi Baba knows that the only way to prove his metal to his followers is by acting as a leader of the cult by giving hard instructions , by telling his followers to get ready for the battle . He is trying to become 'something' , what I don't understand is that why the two Govt.'s have been sleeping on this issue , I suspect there is Cent.Govt. hand in this , It can be a politically motivated step to again start violence in Punjab because everyone of us knows Badal Govt. cant do anything about almost anything that goes bad. The cult Baba wants to root out Badal , and bring state rule under the Govt. due to stability issues. This pakhandi is not just a poser , he is also politically associated . About a week back I read in my newspaper that he was called to report in the court at Chandigarh for threatening a Judge in HC (to remove all CBI charges against The cult Baba which have been lingering on him since a decade) , and Judge had reported this to the Court. This Baba is a sure evil to society. Remember as Sikhs ,our only motive is not to make this Baba aware of making a mistake of imitating our Guru , but also to root out his organization because we know his motives are not good and he is not good for the society. <_< . Only Sikhs have had the courage to root out evil , remember if we don't do it , no one would. Hindus don't even care if someone has been dirtying their society. We do.

I used to check my horoscopes in the morning newspaper ,and to some extent they were always true , then I stopped looking at them in mornings , but I used to read them the day after , and they almost everytime use to be wrong. :rolleyes:

Yesterday , there were more violences in Sirsa , the chief place of Sacha Sauda . While there was a Sacha Sauda parchaar going on in Sirsa , 15 armed Sikh Youths came to the place and asked for stopping the parchaar , retaliating back , the 150 Sacha Sauda people who were there to attend the parchaar started yelling back at the 15 Sikhs who had come with lathis and swords.Seeing the Sacha Sauda followers running towards them , due to fewer in number , the Sikhs had to run away , but one of them fell to the ground,due to which He was punished then and there , and was seriously injured and his head broken by the Sacha Sauda followers. Other reports also say that plenty of Sacha Sauda shops have been burnt by Sikhs , also three homes have been damaged by the Sikhs , curfew has been imposed in Sirsa , all colleges and schools have been closed . -As told in the local Hindi newspaper being circulated in Punjab. Is this the way to go? , Are Sikhs expected to bring havoc to a city??? My observations here in Punjab: The protests in western countries has had no effect in India , majority of the Sikhs here don't even know Sikhs in UK/Canada are protesting.So whatever action happens , takes place in India , and the damage is taken by the Sikhs here. And shameful thing is they protest the Indian way , by blocking railways , burning shops , etc etc , I think this is no way to go. We don't have to take out swords each and everytime we come out on roads , a common Indian who doesn't now the imp. of weapons in Sikhism , thinks that Sikhs are mad people.Trust me , I have interacted with so many of them. My opinion: I think we should some ground breaking ways to get this cult Baba , we have to show we have the wisdom to fight this cause and not always take out swords to show our Might. Swords can come later. Remember All other means have not failed yet , so its not righteous to draw the sword yet. Same here, I am going for MS in USA in 2010 , I am also a bit concerned if I would have problems with my turban and beard , Are there any known engineers/professionals working in USA with their swaroop intact??? , What kind of challenges will I have to face if I carry on my swaroop with me.And suppose I go for an interview , would they be partial/impartial to me?

Yes my dear , we give equal wages depending on the level of work they are doing , Mainly gatekeepers , tea-servers , water-drainage employees get same wages , and those involved in direct machine work , i.e welding etc. are given higher wages , and those which drive the vehicles get another set of wages irrespective of the person is a punjabi or a Bhaiyya , and we also shower a lot of pyaar on those who connect to us more personally ,i mean those who show connection with the betterment of business and are not just concerned with earning money. Along with that , I would say its not all good-good , We have had some experiences when we had to keep special vigils on these so called bhaiyyas , We sort of keep it strict for them , not to enter the main offices etc etc. because there were reports of theft nearby our factory stop. And these days majority of these thefts etc are undertaken by these very immigrants in various parts of Punjab. And this is exactly what is being done in other business houses as well , keeping the Bhaiyas under a special microsocope because the news is now open that thefts mainly occure due to these people . So its like even though we bestow full faith in these people , beause of their ability to work . harder than a Punjabi would , We keep them under special spotlights. :D . And yes this was regarding our factory , also we have a residence near Chandigarh , it was locked for a month or so because we had closed it for further renting , then that very month , all our bathroom taps and kitchen fittings were stolen , including door knobs etc etc , they were just broken off with a hammer , :6 , and to add to that , we have our House in a very upcoming real estate area , where a lot of these Bhaiyas work for construction. We later came to know a gang of 5 Gujarat bhaiyyas were arrested in area around Chandigarh , but we never got our taps back. :rolleyes: . I think I couldn't have been more frank in this post. :rolleyes: and personally I don't have any opinions about these bhaiyas , anyone that causes harm to any area should be punished , even if its a punjabi selling drugs in canada. :gg:
