  2. A new video appears to show the execution of Steven Sotloff, the second American killed by a self-professed member of the Islamist terror group ISIS. In the video, which appeared online today, Sotloff addresses the camera, saying, Im sure you know exactly who I am by now and why I am appearing. Obama, your foreign policy of intervention in Iraq was supposed to be for preservation of American lives and interests, so why is it that I am paying the price of your interference with my life? Sotloff says calmly as the black clad militant holds a knife casually at his side. The video then cuts to the militant who makes a statement saying that as long as U.S. missiles continue to strike our people, our knife will continue to strike the necks of your people. Sotloff was seen last month in a very similar video that appeared to show the execution of American journalist James Foley. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/steven-sotloff-video-appears-show-isis-execution-american/story?id=25216725
  3. Reminds of a joke I got this morning on WhatsApp. Husband sitting in the hall, aiming darts at his wife's picture and unable to hit the target. Wife (from next room): What are you doing? Husband: missing you!
  4. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Sorry sis, but you have little/no idea about Sikh history I have to say. There was a Puratan Sikh by the name of Hakeekat Singh who once fired a shot up in the sky right after there was a loud thunder. When asked why, he replied "ਬੱਦਲ ਗੱਜਿਆ ਸੀ, ਤੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਬਣਦਾ ਸੀ | ਉਹ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੀ ਕਾਹਦਾ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੀ ਦੀ ਬੜਕ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਾ ਦੇ ਸਕੇ |" We don't go running to our moms when it thunders. In fact, we reply back to the sky with a loud, long and roaring jakaara. You know how? Like this... JO GAJJ KE JAKARA GAJAAVE NIHAAL HO JAAVE KALGIDHAR DE MANN NU BHAAVEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NIHAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT SRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII AKAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL
  5. ਤੂੰ ਭਾਈ ਜੋ ਸੋਚਣਾ ਸੋਚੀ ਜਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਬ ਲੈਣੇ? You're just going to come up with dumber questions to every response by every member on here. Does that make you feel wise? If it does, I feel pity on you. But to answer your question, NO, no one's religious freedom will be restricted. I doubt any religion teaches its followers to get drunk, so once again, NO, no one's religious freedom will be restricted. ਹੁਣ ਪੁਛੂਗਾ "What if someone's religion instructs them to get drunk?"
  6. What a relief! You're not the only one then! :stupidme: :stupidme: :stupidme: :stupidme: :stupidme:
  7. The yoyo guy asked about clashes, not killings. No, and I already stated why.
  8. 100%, and harsh penalties for anyone who is caught using them. In fact, those who smoke tobacco should have a fixed % of their wages deducted and donated towards lung cancer treatment for those who cannot afford it and got it due to those losers around them who smoked.

  10. What about it? Who considers Narakdharis as Sikhs?
  11. Look, let me break it down for you, plain and simple. You ask these 2 what is their priority in life. If they say anything other than Sikhi, they can go and get married on the beach for all anyone cares. If its Sikhi which is their priority, then they wouldn't be having a non-Sikh spouse to begin with as they would want the seed of Sikhi to grow, develop and flourish in all their generations to come. If their priority is getting married to a good looking significant other, having lots of money, mansions, flashy cars, they can go and get married on an aircraft for that matter. Let them first decide what their priorities are.
  12. Militant attitude? Since when is standing up for your faith a "militant attitude"? Perhaps this is why Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale was also branded as a terrorist by the Indian regime, like he cared. I repeat, we wish them all the best and hope all the joys of life come their way. Let me tell you something, with a lot of love and compassion, and STRAIGHT from Gurbani. In Sikhi its all about discipline. The fact that our people have turned slack in their Rehit and have become easy-going, the fact that they want Sikhi to be ਖੁੱਲੀ-ਡੁੱਲੀ according to their own tastes is the reason why we have people (both Sikhs and non-Sikhs) always questioning and doubting every other thing these days. If the entire creation is following a discipline created by Vaheguru Himself, what is wrong in living a disciplined life and to get married based on a discipline? Those who choose to inter-marry, for the third time, I repeat, we wish them all the best and hope all the joys of life come their way. At the same time, if they choose to disobey the discipline of only Sikhs being married in the paavan-pavittar hajuri of Dhann Dhann Sahib Sri Guru Sahib Ji Maharaj, no one is under any obligation to allow them to do what they want. Its not upto us to decide if God approves of such a marriage. But the commandments we (atleast we Sikhs) have from the Guru Sahibaan in Gurbani are the most pristine and ultimate commandments from the Divine which we adhere to. Anyone who chooses not to, is free to do so. But they better not expect to walk over those who are committed to this discipline. We are in no way pushing people away from Sikhi. To be honest, these guys are pushing Sikhi away from themselves as they refuse to abide by the basic tenets. Sorry to be blunt, but if someone calls himself/herself a Sikh, it means he/she follows (or tries to follow) a code of conduct laid out by Guru Sahib. If not, then why call yourself something you are not? In the modern world its another form of plagiarism!
  13. The only thing I disagree is legalizing drugs. That is no solution to curb the drug addiction problem. Other than that good points. Thanks
  14. Firstly, if other faiths are conducting inter-religious marriages, we wish them all the best and hope all the joys of life come their way. As per Dasam Pita's Hukam (out of the 52), a Sikh can marry only a Sikh. Secondly, if there were 1.5 billion Sikhs worldwide, there would definitely be more internal issues/disagreements, its human nature! But we won't start restricting other Sikhs from entering certain Gurduaras just because of a disagreement (so-called lower castes were never allowed int Hindu temples), nor would a Sikh go about blowing up Gurughars where people of a different Jathebandi visited (Shia-Sunni blowing up each other's mosques). So by that logic, NO, there would NOT be more chaos on this planet if there were 1.5 billion Sikhs.
  16. Those are both your own personal opinions, which anyone and everyone is free to hang on to.
  17. But not in the name of religion. Perhaps time for some introspection then? Thanks, but you don't get to decide that I am sorry. The ones on the receiving end do.
