  1. Security agencies fear revival of military action in Punjab as 30th anniversary of Operation Bluestar approaches Militancy came to an end three decades ago in Punjab. But Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-backed Sikh militant groups are attempting to revive terror and bloodshed in the state, sources in the Punjab Police said. The Pakistani spy agency can use the ultras of four Khalistan terrorist groups - Ranjit Singh Meeta - headed Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), Jagtar Singh Tara-headed Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), Wadhawa Singh-led Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Harminder Singh Minto-led Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) - to revive militancy and launch terror strikes in Punjab, the sources said. The ISI and the radical Sikh groups are trying to lure unemployed youths to join terror groups, they added. +3 "The Sikh militant groups, particularly those operating from Pakistan, may launch nationwide terror strikes as the ISI wants these inactive outfits to prove their worth," a top source said. Although no link between the Indian Mujahideen (IM) and Khalistan outfits has been found so far, security agencies fear the ISI can bring them together the IM's strength and ability to carry out blasts coupled with the knowledge of Khalistan terrorists about the demography, local language and culture. In last three years, 20 Sikh militants were arrested from many parts of the country. Most of these arrests were made in Punjab. On April 29, the Punjab Police had recovered 10 rocket launchers, one country-made bomb, one IED, one AK 47 rifle, six magazines, two sten guns, two empty magazines and one shotgun from a canal near Kaind Canal Bridge in Ludhiana. Earlier, the revelation about the British government's role in Operation Blue Star had renewed the controversy surrounding the 30- year-old episode. The turbulent militancy days may be over, but the Operation Blue Star remains a highly emotive issue in Punjab. The Sikh radical groups do not let the memories of in Operation Blue Star fade away. The anniversary of Operation Blue Star is observed every year and relatives of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and others are honoured by these groups. The ShiromaniI Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has even constructed a memorial in the memory of those killed in Operation Blue Star. Moreover, the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and the pathetic attitude of subsequent governments, especially those of the Congress, have only hurt the feelings of the Sikh community. The demand for a separate Khalistan may have become faint over the last three decades in Punjab, but the Khalistan terrorist groups continue to incite gullible unemployed Punjab youths by citing the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and Operation Blue Star. Ratandeep is new face of militancy Ratandeep Singh is one of the most dreaded and well-trained active Sikh militants currently residing in Pakistan. He has been extensively trained by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in weapons and explosives. He has been trained in assembly of IEDs. Jagmohan Singh, who had assassinated religious ideologue Rulda Singh, had been personally trained by Ratandeep Singh in 2009. Ratandeep is likely to take over the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). He consults BKI chief Wadhawa Singh on major decisions and has established operational bases in countries such as Thailand and Cambodia. In October 2011, Ratandeep had organised a transfer of a large consignment of arms and FICN across the Indo- Pak border for an operation focused on targeting a Shiv Sena leader in Punjab. Meeting: Sources say Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Avtar Singh Makkar was present at the reported meeting between military groups Cracks among terror groups By Manjeet Sehgal Cracks have appeared among the Khalistan terrorist groups as they are under immense pressure from the ISI and their funding sources. Sources privy to the information told Mail Today that Khalistan Commando Force chief Paramjit Singh Panjwad had an altercation with another top Khalistan ultra Ranjit Singh Meeta at a meeting on May 21 at Hasan Abdal in Pakistan. Kuldip Singh alias Jujhar Singh Amrali, a Babbar Khalsa terrorist, was also present when the altercation took place. Sources said other parties had to intervene to stop the two ultras from quarrelling. Radical Sikh group Dal Khalsa's UK chief Manmohan Singh was also present at the Gurudwara Panja Sahib, the sources said. There were also reports that Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Avtar Singh Makkar was present at the meeting. When contacted, the SGPC chief denied the altercation took place in his presence and clarified that he only met Sikh pilgrims. "Yes I had gone to Panja Sahib (Hasan Abdal). Patha (recitation) was going on when I reached there. I neither met anybody nor did I spoke to anyone. I was informed by the DGP that there is danger to my life in Pakistan, but nothing of that sort happened," Makkar told Mail Today. +3 New routes: The railway route connecting Jammu-Kashmir and Bihar is now being used to smuggle arms into the troubled Kashmir Valley, after security was tightened Hizbul using Punjab to smuggle weapons By Manjeet Sehgal After the security was tightened on the Indo-Pakistan border, the Kashmiri militants found a new route to smuggle "cheap" arms from Bihar's illegal gun factories. The railway route connecting Jammu-Kashmir and Bihar is now being used to smuggle arms into the troubled Kashmir Valley. Punjab is being used as a transit point to smuggle weapons by the terrorist outfits, source said. The disclosure was made by a Hizbul Mujahideen arms courier who was caught with weapons in Pathankot on May 9. Ravesh Ul-Islam, the alleged Hizbul arms courier, told his interrogators that the Kashmiri militants are now getting their arms supplies from Bihar via Punjab route. According to the Punjab police, Kashmiri militants share good relations with criminals running illegal arms factories in Bihar. Besides weapons, the Hizbul arms courier was found in possession of two mobile phones. One of the SIMs came from Pakistan. Deputy Superintendent of Police of Government Railway Police (GRP), Hardeep Singh said a Punjab police team has left for Bihar to establish Hizbul's links with the illegal arms manufacturers in the eastern state. Sources said Ravesh Ul-Islam had first visited Bartha in Bihar's Munger district on November 13 last year. He was asked by a Hizbul Mujahideen commander to buy a pistol and was also given Rs 45,000. He had visited the same village on March 3 this year and had bought a pistol and ammunition worth Rs 35,000. The Hizbul arms courier was caught when he was attempting to smuggle weapons for the third time. "This was his third trip to Munger district. During his two earlier trips, Ravesh Ul-Islam had smuggled three pistols. The investigation is on," the DSP said. 2. Chill DeccanSingh. why always in negative mood. Vishal, yes we sikhs believe that god lives in everyone and everywhere. He is in stone, tree, humans and so on. Sikhs do not hate anyone but also they do not sit quiet if they see injustice being done to anyone. Welcome to this forum.
  3. What is the understanding behind carrying 3 ft kirpan? i like having shaastar on you all time but i see people who turns into famous personality started carrying 3 ft kirpan. Is this showing that "I am leader" ?
  4. Please forgive me if i have offended or hurt your feelings as this was not my intention, i made that remark from what i picked up from the video and it was my perception, as for being able to tell the difference as luckysingh ji has said it is the same as how we are picked out as being from baar or valethiyeh etc etc in india. I meant no offence. none taken Bhai Sahib and appreciate your nice reply. Of course there is vast difference between sikhs living abroad and india. I see 'valatey' sikhs to be more ethical than those who live in punjab however, punjab sikhs feel proud of their brothers/sisters living abroad. on the other side i see many young 'valatey' sikhs looking down upon immigrants who is not or refuse to adjust to western social culture. Sat1176, i agree with you that there should be a process where such incident does not happen - like asking permission to hold any program inside darbar hall. However the other side of the management made grave mistake by calling cops, fully knowing that they will enter darbar hall with shoes. Solution? Keep politics out of gurughars and we wont see such horrible news again.
  5. Sikhs born in UK can usually spot the one's that are 1st gen-immigrants, just like the UK born get spotted in India as valeties, quite easily. Bhai Sahib, Can you share your thoughts on what qualities one look at in order to make judgement that particular person is Indian immigrant or so on. So it is right for airport security to make judgement on the possibility of aligning turban wearing sikh as some middle east or some foreigner because of the 'Sikh' physical description not fitting in with guard's own cultural understanding. If we see large number of Sikhs (whether they are immigrants or not) gathering @ gurdwara sahib then it becomes health & safety issue is something new. Personally, i got no clue about the situation but the racism within our community is certainly not good.
  6. Bhai Sahib, what do you mean by above statement? Are you saying that immigrants from India are inferior than those who born in UK ? Also, How did you judge that they are immigrants from india? Isn't this same as airport security official signalling out turban wearing sikh for a "random" searching?
  7. I reject this as anything to do with sikhism. Very false information - http://www.sikhnet.com/relationships ehna dah tah sariya peya..
  8. Circle icon near water tank is official mehta chowk <dumma> taksal shop. Square one is independent owned but still a famous taksal shop and this is the shopping complex everybody here is talking about. It is in front of Jora Ghar and on top of scooter/cycle underground parking lot. I visit both of them whenever i visit punjab.
  9. I believe that all is done and there are no morchas of hunger strikes anymore. There are people around who are spreading rumors.
  10. Navkirin Singh posted not so good comment day before bhai sahib ji ended his fast.
  11. Since we have fateh on the initial demands, it is now time for sangat effort to get on work to see what type of shanka they had on bhai sahib and what is their role in our sangat. Please post only with proof. I will put info soon.
  12. Makkar, let me tell you something about sangat power. This gurughar amb sahib gurdwara was in care of very old saint who gave the hold of this gurdwara to sgpc after he passed away. So, before you expose filth from your old mouth, please consider that it is always sangat who gives their personal stuff to sgpc. Makkar, you being from city area, let me give you an example; when a pendu jatt like to donate something for sikhi, he usually will bring what he have in his house- like atta, daal and in big case even his land and livestock like cattles. Makkar, you should know about this well that it is sangat who pumps gas in your fleet of cars. Don't you know that you greedy sgpc folks get cattle in donations and u always hold auction to sell those and get money. Illegal is you holding president post and looting crores of sangat moneys. Don't worry, as we know that badal will protect u in this world but who will when u go up in front of dharam raj.
  13. To be clear on shararti ppl, I meant ex-ragi Darshan lal, fake scholar dhunda, kala afghani gurtej ias, billi jatha uk. However, I am ignoring them and still 100% supports the voice of bhai gurbax Singh because he is genuine soul.
  14. Here's what gonna happen and may not happen: 1. Badal or other sarkari naukar will release all singhs on parole. 2. When bhai sahib end his fast, sgpc will lift everything from amb sahib immediately and will put task force. They will issue notice to all that no more hunger strike area to be given to anyone. 3. Akal takht will issue sandesh or press note with saying the hunger strike is not gurmat. Order given by big badal. 4. Bhai gurbax Singh will be taken back to jail (since he is on parole as reported by Indian media). He will not come out at all because of evil sarkar. 5. All six singhs will return back to jails after their end of parole. Nobody gets pardon or justice. 6. Kaka badal will replace Makkar from sgpc post and put another slave like sewa Singh sekhwan for this post. 7. Leaders will start fighting with each other. Sangat will be again leaderless. ---- Bhai sahib jee is also surrounded by some shararti ppl- so called sikh opportunists who are hijacking or will hijack whole stage sooner or later.
  15. Bhai Amrik Singh ajnala and Giani Ram Singh made dozen trips to gurdwara amb sahib. Gianni ram Singh and sangat with him took night watch sewa recently. Both belong to damdami taksal jathabandi. However, as per government's official jatehdar of taksal is bhai dhumma who surprisingly is still not seen anywhere except last time sangat seen him in Mumbai more than a month ago. His phone(s) are switched off and nobody knows where bhai dhumma is despite he gave a promise to bhai gurbax of support before the start hunger strike at amb sahib. --- Absence of taksal jatehdar during such crucial time is raising doubts. What reason there is of not visiting amb sahib, even badal daliyay Makkar and others visited amb sahib. Anyone know where baba dhumma is? I thought that he is genuine leader after memorial issue but now I have doubts.
  16. The Singhs for whose Release Bhai Sahib Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Ji has started the Morcha.
