    Soo Confused!

Naanak Vigsai Vehparvah. This is path is for the carefree. Don't bother about what others think, say, or do. Let them be. And you too: Just be...
  3. It's good to see that you are taking this seriously. Take this Hukamnama Sahib as a 'warning'. When Shri Guru Naanak Dev ji had a conversation with Kalyug, he asked Kalyug to describe what type of a Raj Kalyug will lead. Kalyug said that in his Raj, MOH will be the emperor. Looking at what Maharaj Ji has said to you, it seems as if he's telling you to 'give up your attachment with the world and it's materials.' Anything that you are attached to of this world, you will not be able to take with you. Except Naam nothing will help you. This is the need to recite Naam. It 'helps' you in that so called next world. Embraces your soul and shows it the way to GOD. Listening to your mind is not good for you. The 'bird' mentioned in this Hukam is your mind. The 'light' means your soul. Once this light leaves your body, your mind which has never liked to sit on its own 'tree', or be content 'within' your own body and instead has been going off to see other people's property , will be taken to the Dharam Raj where he will tell you what you will be next, according to your deeds. And hence, you are not liberated and are once again you are bound in this life and death cycle. The main idea is to go 'within' our body and this is done through meditation---Waheguru. This body is a gift. Realize this and you'll see it's value. By reciting Naam, your soul makes Maharaj ji happy. So happy, that he takes out his pen and crosses out all of our deeds. And you step into his realm. Do must to 'Uddam' for this. Uddam means to make an effort to recite his NAAM. The Hukam for you is to recite Gurbani. Otherwise, your soul will regret. avagath baan shhodd mrith ma(n)ddal tho paashhai pashhuthaanaa ||4|| You have forsaken the Bani, the Word of the Immortal Lord, in this mortal world; in the end, you shall regret and repent. ||4|| Maharaj Ji gives Hukams like this to tell us to stop following our minds. To tell to be aware of what you we are doing and come back. Be thankful for this. He's preparing you for his blessings---Amrit. See his love in this.
  4. aba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj lived in God from His very childhood till the very last moment He was the first Sage who wanted to see God face to face in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He yearned to talk to His Beloved Lord in person, serve and love Him. He was not content with mere theory and belief. The yearning for direct God Realisation was clearly manifest in His infancy and He remained in a state of divine contemplation and meditation, perpetually. Karah parshad is reverentially offered to Sri Guru Granth Sahib all over since the last few centuries. Baba Ji was not content with mere offering of Karah prashad. He yearned for its practical and sure acceptance. He was not satisfied at leaving anything to fancy or with mere ritual. He yearned to see the Eternal Guru in Sri Guru Granth Sahib face to face, in flesh and blood. He loved God as a living Reality and not merely as a fanciful ideal. He was dead set to achieve manifestation of His Lord Guru Nanak from Sri Guru Granth Sahib or die. The Lord of Love, Guru Nanak manifested Himself physically from Sri Guru Granth Sahib and accepted and relished the love and parshad of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj, never to leave Him again. With the Grace and Blessings of Baba Harnam Singh Ji Maharaj, Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj brought Sri Guru Nanak Sahib to the people, face to face, He established the Eternal Glory of Sri Guru Granth Sahib as a living Eternal Guru on such a grand foundation and scale that it radiates out to the whole world in all splendour. Another unique, distinct and peculiar characteristic is that Babaji was blessed with all the power and glory of God, which was manifest from His very childhood. Humanity was enveloped, engulfed and overtaken by this Grace and blessing as by an Ocean of Divinity in spate. Dimensions of this unprecedented Grace and the mass of blessing which Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj was, is only indicative of a prophet's manifestation on earth. He liberated the creation from bondage which only a great Messiah, a Prophet of love and harmony can do. I was a witness to the mighty spiritual force at work, in the mammoth congregations of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj which embraced all creation including animal life, in granting redemption. Having witnessed great spiritual wonders and miracles with my own eyes in the holy presence of Babaji, I feel amazed at the views of some sceptics who doubt the veracity and authenticity of these miracles and spiritual wonders in the context of our Supreme Lord Guru Nanak in His earthly life span. Babaji's spiritual power and force in its divine play is quite distinct from the acquisition and attainment of Self-Realisation of an ordinary saint or faqir. Babaji came endowed, equipped and crowned with all the power of God and His Glory. He inundated the place He visited and all life there with that Grace and blessing. As the sun, His physical presence would release most powerful spiritual rays engulfing every heart in purity and illumining every soul with the Glory of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib. He was a Prophet who came for the redemption of all creation. Every activity of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj was flavoured with self-effacement, self-denial and self-abnegation. Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj was a symbol of Supreme devotion to and supreme surrender at the lotus feet of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The words 'I' and 'My' never passed through His holy lips. In the sphere of total devotion and total surrender 'self' does not come in. And I do not think the world has witnessed such a climax of self denial, self abnegation and self effacement as in case of Baba Ji. Hallowed is His holy name, hallowed is His sublime culture and maryada and hallowed His saga of self effacement. True devotion demands total detachment, total renunciation. Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj had surpassed all conceivable limits of tyag, renunciation, detachment, vairag. Being totally detached from the world, He was wholly attached and devoted to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He today stands out and worshipped as the Paragon of devotion to Sri Guru Granth Sahib, as the Apostle of Nanak Bhakti.
  5. 1. Sadh Sangat to learn about the Lord's nature. What he likes and dislikes. First of all, Sadh Sangat is done of the soul and not the body, therefore, it's beneficial for one to keep their eyes lower and never 'stare' at anyone in the sangat for no reason. These Gurmukh souls talk only of the Lord. Nothing is more sweeter to their tongue than to talk about their beloved. They'll tell you sakhis of him, and more about him through the help of his shabad. Basically, they'll help you understand the Lord, so that you'll be able to meet him with an ease. saadhhasangath ko vaariaa jeeo keeaa kurabaan || I am devoted to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; I sacrifice my soul to them. jis thae sojhee man pee miliaa purakh sujaan || Through them, understanding has entered my mind, and I have met the All-knowing Lord God. 2. Seva (selfless service) for the peace of your mind. Once your hands start doing seva, they refuse to indulge into sickness. You'll notice. Seva is very important. It helps one become humble. And when you become humble your 'haumai' or 'ego' starts to fall apart and eventually is completely finished off. He finishes it off for you but only if he likes your work'. Remember we are servants at his door. The game is to 'please' him. The way to please is to be 'loyal' to him. Serve him with love. Give your self to him. Do what makes him 'happy'. sukh hovai saev kamaaneeaa || you shall find peace, doing seva (selfless service). 3. Sing a Gurbani line in your head. It helps you stay connected to him. Our mind likes to forget him. But this way, we trick our mind. Our mind really likes 'music'. So when you are singing this line in your head, you do have, even if you don't notice it, music playing in the back of your head ---somewhere. maerae govindhaa gun gaavaa thripath man hoe || O my Lord of the Universe, singing Your Glorious Praises, my mind is satisfied. And Ji, don't worry too much. Okay? Everything will be okay. Just make the effort. And tell us soon that you've been blessed with Amrit. Maharaj Ji is so happy with you. Don't you feel it? Whatever problem you are facing right now. Do an Ardaas in front of him. Everytime, everytime. Eventually, this Ardaas will come from your heart. But remember he 'always' heard your prayers but was just waiting for you to become strong enough to stick to your words. He's forever merciful and forgiving. Ji, Fikr Nahin Karni. Tik ah? Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  6. You've done your 'childish' part quite well kiddo... Well DONE! :P

  10. You just reminded me of a Hukamnama Sahib Maharaj Ji gave a few days back: ਆਦਿ Pooran, ਮਧਿ Pooran, ਅੰਤਿ Pooran Parmaysureh... Dhan Guru Naanak. It's meeting souls like yourself, that we really 'do' sangat on this site. =) I had no idea about these Samassi words. Thank you for sharing this rather valuable information. This is knowledge. True knowledge. Going into depth about what Maharaj Ji has said to us through the Shabads. And what exactly do these Shabads really mean. What types these Shabads are. So on... Keep on spreading this gift of true knowledge to many others... Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

  12. =) I asked a question earlier about the Brahm. I wanted to know if there is one or more universe's'. Silly me. If Brahm means God and also mean 'universe' then this has answered my question. God is infinite. That means universe's' are infinite. Beyond our understanding. Your post alias made me 'realize' this. I most humbly thank you. This thought is so deep. So very deep. Waheguru. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
  13. I was reading an article by Dev Kaur Khalsa. Her 'observations': During the day, the hair absorbs solar energy, but at night it absorbes lunar energy. Keeping the hair up during the day and down at night aids in this process. Braiding your hair down at night will help your electromagnetic field balance out from the day. The pineal gland in the center of your brain is stimulated when your magnetic field (aura) is energized by combing and coiling your hair into a knot on your crown. "This activation of your pineal results in a secretion that is central to the development of higher intellectual functioning, as well as higher spiritual perception." If you seal this energizing coil with a head covering or turban, you then create your own simple, yet powerful, energy receiver.

Without God, I know no other at all. Interesting. These translations suggest that Brahm means nothing but the Lord itself. ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਆਪ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥ aapae aap aap bharapoor || He Himself is Himself pervading everywhere.
  15. Why would you want other people to give you feedback about what you've been through? Do you really want them to feel sorry for you? But why? Do you really need sympathy? How is that going to help you through anything? No one is anyone's 'support' here. Mind it. Maharaj Ji says it again and again: janan pithaa lok suth banithaa koe n kis kee dhhariaa || Mothers, fathers, friends, children and spouses-no one is the support of anyone else. Without Maharaj Ji, no one can really help you with anything. It's not just a book sitting on the throne for God's sake. Go TALK to it. It's GURU NANAK himself. What type of a shaheed are you planning to be? Care about this human body. Many are longing for this but they cannot receive this gift. You are lucky. Forgive your past and move on. Mitti Na Farolo. Kuch Labna Nahin. Look ahead. Shabad helps us do this. Sing a Gurbani line in your mouth throughout the day. His path is for humble beings. Try not to swear so much. We become humble by doing 'seva'. Go clean the toilets in your Gurudwara Sahib. Do it with humility. If you 'thinking' about it. Then you won't be able to do it. Sangat di 'Reinka' ban ke hi Akal Purakh nu Pa Sakde Han. Ehme Gaalan Naal Nahin. Pehla maran kabool. Jeewan ki chhad aas. Hohu sabhna ki reinka. To aao hamarey paas. Ji, I apologize for being so harsh. But this was the only way to really 'poke' your soul. You really need to do seva. It brings humility in one. Sadh Sangat gives us 'uttam' mat. Mool Mantra while doing seva shall help you. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

  18. So unique, mysterious and miraculous was the relationship between the holy disciple and the divine Satguru. Such wonderful is the divine reciprocation of prema, of divine love. nce Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj was journeying bare-footed through a dense jungle with His feet profusely bleeding with instuck thorns. He wanted to visit His beloved Master after a year's long tapasaya and was heading towards the railway station, a long distance away. A camel rider who happened to cross His way, stopped, got down and offered the camel to Baba Ji. He made Baba Ji sit comfortably on the camel and then proceeded towards the railway station. While thus walking, the man removed the thorns from Baba Ji's bleeding feet one by one. He, at the railway station, purchased a ticket and made Baba Ji comfortable in the train. When Baba Ji reached the holy presence of Baba Harnam Singh Ji Maharaj and was in the process of paying His homage, Baba Harnam Singh Ji Maharaj applied the dust of the holy feet of Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj on His forehead. Baba Ji, thus bewildered, started crying. On this, Baba Harnam Singh Ji Maharaj smiled and asked Him why He did not cry when He removed the thorns from His feet on the way to railway station. So unique, mysterious and miraculous was the relationship between the holy disciple and the divine Satguru. Such wonderful is the divine reciprocation of prema, of divine love. Little did anyone know then that this towering Divinity spending all his time in deep and long meditation in complete solitude, was to become known to the world as the great spiritual preceptor and beloved Master of Mahan Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj.

  20. Thats what you have done, Bibi: You have cheated your Guru...Unfortunately. And without Maharaj Ji, we are lost. Gur Bin Ghor Andhar, Guroo Bin Samaj Na Aavai. And this is not just a mere saying, you NOW know this better than anyone else here. Don't you? We keep making the same mistakes again and again. This is how hopeless we are. Then comes a time where we give up on ourselves. And if you are lucky, you are still able to hear him calling you. Still, however, not many people choose to listen to his call. But if you have heard his call Bibi, then heed to what it's saying to you. Come Back Into Guru Nanak Saheb's House. He's your parent. Even if he gets a little mad at you, it's for your own good. But do come back. And...Go to the doctor and find out what exactly 'happened'. Then...pray to Maharaj Ji. Thank him if you had been lucky. If not, then as 'Warrior' mentioned above that please 'learn' from your mistakes. Don't sit in a dark room crying over your deeds. Instead light up your room and grab Maharaj Ji's hand through Gurbani and get back to where you belong. We belong with Maharaj Ji. No one else here can help you expect Maharaj Ji. Understand this. Amrit cannot be 'broken' but Bibi you have abandoned both your rehits 'inner' and 'outer' for a long time now. So yes, do consider taking Amrit again. Pray for this blessing. He is forever merciful. You shall be forgiven. Only Maharaj Ji (Guru Sahiban) can 'heal' your inner state of being which at the moment seems not so good at all. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

    Explain This

ਏਹ ਕਿਨੇਹੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਭਉ ਖਸਮ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ If you are scared of your husband then you are serving him out of fear. You are serving him under pressure but not Love. And thats not self-less service (Seva) thats more like desireless labour that you are forced upon to do. To live in the fear of God is necessary because this way you are aware that 'Someone is watching over me, therefore, I shouldn't do things that he doesn't like. I'm never alone.' But this fear is doesn't mean that you don't love him. In this type of fear "You are scared that if you do this or that, something he doesn't like, you might loose him." There is love in this fear. Fear of loosing your beloved but because you know that you cannot survive without him --- you love him. But while serving him, it's your moments together. Just the two of you, or more precisely ONE. Then how can you be scared of your beloved while serving him? Is that love? Someone you love, you don't feel pressurized to do things for them. If you love someone, you'll put forward your life on their feet and it's their desire to keep it or not. Thats love. To kill 'yourself' for the one you love. To change yourself in the way that they want to see you... Thats love, when you let this happen fighting off your 'ego'... ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਕਾਢੀਐ ਜਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਖਸਮ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥ Merge into your beloved. But don't stop. Love him to an extent that you keep going deeper into his heart day by day...You merge into him deeply. Like...Nanak Leen Bhayo Gobind Syon Jyo Paani Sang Paani You take one step towards him, he takes thousands...towards you. "Charan Sharan Gur Ek Painda Jaye Chal Satgur Kot Painda Agey Hoey Lait Hai."
