and there's dodra people like you who dance to kirtan and let namdharis do kirtan you are the real dusht of the panth by going against akal takht hukam you are hurting sikhi more than helping it by telling others rehat isnt important if you thought it was important you would do something about it too i could care lessa bout your ykd shows because its nothing but a joke i didnt want to say anything but you provoked me i only havent heard but i been there and seen it with my eyes if i hear then it would be nindya but i seen so much pakhand happening bibia sitting so close to singhs and some even have things going on with others i know you need to check yoself before you say anything and stop destroying sikhi -

i heard theyre all the same and the same people run them every month so i don't see what difference it could make with different organizers when the practice is the same i don't have any concerns i just think there aint much rehat being followed and parkaash and hukam taken from a larivaar sarup is a far fetched idea my two rupees -

Youth Kirtan Darbar - Saturday January 3rd, 2009 @ 5:30pm

there's little or no rehat being followed at these youth kirtans ive been a couple of times its far from having a parkash of larivar sarup and i heard namdharis and monay do kirtan there too and that its mainly for the "sadh sangat" people -
hahaha, good one! Can I get a girlfriend too?

I think its a waste of time, why? Because half the time you waste your time looking at other people's profiles and their photos and then commenting on their photos or wall with your one liner haha hehe, and the other half the time you waste your time looking at photos you've been tagged in and check out what people wrote on your photo or wall. Its voyeuristic, superficial, and its only for those who want to feel a sense of belonging in the world, people have hundreds of "friends" but more than half of them they don't even see or talk to and some you may not even know haha.. its sad if you feel good about having hundreds of friends but yet only a few in the REAL WORLD. At the end of the day if you're SERIOUS about your sikhi then you don't need to feel a sense of belonging in the world, you only need to feel a sense of belonging in the presence of saadh sangat and guru sahib, once you feel like the only thing you need to belong to is maharaj, you're doing good. You're not gonna become a gurmukh by checking facebook 2-3 times a day, which is what it turns into after a while. And instead of getting addicted to naam you get addicted to a site which becomes your life. I'm not hating but its just some things I noticed while my time lasted on that site. On top of that is the stupid teenage giggling when talking about some silly games or pranks or jokes or gossip on someone's picture or an inside joke. Bottom line, its a "social networking site" and if you're serious about your sikhi you shouldn't waste your time on it, rather read a book, learn a instrument or start a sehaj paath. As far as events go, Im SURE you will hear about an event or find out from one of your mates.

If you're already married the punj piaare will require both you and your wife to be present to be blessed with amrit most punj singhs don't give amrit to individuals but again it depends on the punj piare

Wondering how many people keep a personal sehaj paath going?

I Am Getting Sick Of Posting These Things

that's all fine, but he mostly posts news/youtube videos instead of gurbani/history (no offence) so I was just trying to push him to make more gursikhi posts instead.. -

I second that, why not post more gurbani/history? The world is full of news, something happening in one corner of the world or another, sometimes they make headlines, sometimes they don't, concentrate on YOUR GOAL IN LIFE and forget all else, this human birth is durlabh, priceless don't waste it, peace. -
Sikhi is universal you can apply it however you like as long as you practice the basics.

ਮ: ੫ ॥ {1095} Random shabd, first post, galti maaf karni..... To me there are countless/ocean-full translations for the second part of the shabd thats why i didn't post the english translation. This is my view/take and by no means is it the only explanation......... ਸੇਜ ਵਿਛਾਈ ਕੰਤ ਕੂ ਕੀਆ ਹਭੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ॥ I have spread out my bed for You, O my Husband Lord, and applied all my decorations.)..... Its saying, I have taken amrit from satguru, have decorated my body with my 5 kakaar and now I have become holy, emancipated, I hve become a Sikh, now I will meet my true lord vaheguru, game over, BUT......second tuk says..... I've taken amrit, I wear all my kakaars like the garland of flowers, I keep rehat, but this is in the way of me, meeting my love vaheguroo it has become a distraction for me, i worry what if i lose my kakaars, will i be accepted by my true lord vaheguroo, what if he doesn't like what i'm wearing? what if its not clean?, what if........ The point I'm trying to make is our true love ddoesn't look at what we wear, how we look, but if we have PURE love in our hearts if we are not engrossed in maya, if we are not worried about how we look and only have love for him he will coem, but if we have this dubidhaa that we have to live only one way, dress one way, keep a certain rehat, to be able to get his darshan we will not...... And then....I read the shabad again and then to me he's saying "O my true king, my love i have spread out my body-bed, applied all sorts of decorations on the bed-body so that you will love me, i long for you, and i have worn this garland of flowers to please you but when you embrace me it will come in the way of us, so i have taken it off because i don't want anything to come between us and so i can feel your embrace without anything separating us, oh my true love come into my bed-body and give me your darshan..............." galti baksh laini
