  1. I think the level of programmes are satisfactory! You can't meet all specific viewer requirements 100% but can reach a wider audience on a more mainstream platform. Everyone has their bias on parcharaks from the pro-babay, the anti-babay, the taksali, the akj, the missionaries, the Sikh Channel or any Gurdwara committee can't be seen to favour or discriminate. They do however, I believe, provide a fairly balanced viewpoint on Sikhi and Sikh issues.
  2. What's it with you and surveillance and secret filming? I'd hate to visit the loo in your house just incase I get exposed leaving the seat up! Snap out your fairy tale world of Bogus Babay, the BNP, Evil Muslims, Deceptive Sikh Women and stainless Patit Bhangra Singers who think will take us forward along with Nick Griffin. No one, repeat no one does anything in Punjab for Sikhi except for these Babay (the likes of Baba Ranjit Singh and many more). When was the last time you went to Punjab and did anything for the 'indeginous' people of Punjab? When was the last time you guided someone into Sikhi and helped them better their lives? All people like you (and this youtube wannabe pausing with his jacked over his shoulder) do is hunt for excuses to blame for your own shortcommings and lack of bond with Sikhi.
  3. I see these youtube attacks on Sikhi becoming more of an uncomfortable trend. It's beginning to feel like an attack on Sikhi Saroop which slyly makes it out as it's an attack on a specific parcharak or popular baba. The terms of references to Sant Jarnail Singh show's this comedians attitude to Sikh figures and the fact that he attacks & hides behind a disguise shows how "brave" he really is. If not controlled or knipped in the bud, we're going to see a new enemy who will be the Sikhi Saroop hater who still thinks he's a Sikh and promotes PatitPauna.
  4. Odd bunch of people in the video. They look like a jatha of misfits. Is the dummalla boy the infamous "Botox" Bob?
  5. According to the news report link the BNP denied suggestions that an elderly Sikh was set to become the party’s first non-white member. This is due to a sudden "membership freeze". Bad luck fordcapri, maybe in another life you'll be born white and you can join them!! http://breakingnews.iol.ie/news/world/bnp-denies-elderly-sikh-becoming-member-435137.html BNP denies elderly Sikh becoming member
  6. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=_teopGVDk7A See the video above Fordcapri. An interview where Griffin mentions what would be best for Sikhs in Southall...sending us back to reduce overcrowding.... BNP GRIFFIN: EJECT SIKHS TO REDUCE TRAFFIC IN WEST LONDON BNP leader Nick Griffin suggests making Sikhs return to India: 'Lots of Sikhs would go home and West London wouldn't be so crowded at rush hour time - everybody's happier,' he argues.
  7. BNP set to sign first non-white member (he's an anti-Islamic Sikh who once gave a character reference for Nick Griffin) Todays Daily Mail headline...I suppose dipsticks like this make people like Ford Capri a very very happy man..
  8. BNP signs its first non-white member... ... but he's only joined because he hates Muslims The headline in the Independent says it all..and how many more plonkers will join because of their hate for muslims...
  9. http://www.guardian....ice-blair-peach A recent news article extract on Gurdip Singh Chaggar In June 1976 a young Asian man, Gurdip Singh Chaddar, had been stabbed to death by a group of white youths in Southall, one of several racist murders at the time. One week after the killing, John Kingsley Read, of the far right National Democratic party, told a rally of supporters: "I have been told that I cannot refer to coloured immigrants. So you will forgive me if I refer to n1ggers, w0gs and co0ns. As for the murder of one Asian youth in Southall last weekend. That was terribly unfortunate. One down, a million to go." At Read's subsequent trial he was convicted for inciting racial hatred, but the judge also commended him as someone "who had the guts come forward in the past and stand up publicly for things he believed in". He added that "in this England of ours we are allowed to have our own views still, thank goodness, and long may it last". Sikh perspective. http://thelangarhall...southall-story/ John Kingsley Read founder member of the NF splinter group the National Party which eventually become the British National Party http://en.wikipedia....n_Kingsley_Read
  10. There's no doubt the Hindi movie & Bhangra pop stars have made the culture of Punjab brain-dead and are making people spiritually devoid. You only have to visit Punjab to see what our relatives have on the TV all day and night. At least the West have documentaries, talk shows or current affair programmes to watch which if nothing builds articulate debating skils, raising political awareness. Most of modern Punjab's sole form of media is appears to mainly Bollywood or Punjabi Bhangra song videos. A film depicting Indira as a hero and Sikhs as evil will not only demorilise us but will influence many "Sikh" households. Maybe someone from Punjab can correct me, I am basing the above on my own experiences.
  11. Obviously, they will demonise Sant Jarnail Singh and get some Bollywood villian to play his role! You can't show a 'positive' portrayl of Indira Gandhi's life without making Sikhs look like the villans. Key Sikh character roles will probably include Bhai Satwant Singh, Bhai Beant Singh, Bhai Kehar Singh, Bhai Amrik Singh, Bhai Subheg Singh as well as the countless Naujwaan of the Panth who gave shaheediya during the 80's. There's no doubt the the movie will be based on the anti Sikh media views monopolised by Lala Jagat Naryan during the 70's and early 80's. As always it's expected to see prominant Arya Samajis like "Sada Dharmendra" and the Deol family playing such key roles of the Congress in this "Epic"!!! This could potentially be a very damaging film and extremely influential (as films tend to be) in shaping the niave members Sikh/Punjabi communities views on '84, the Dharm Morcha and Sikhi in general...
  12. And what do the BNP say about the murder of Gurdip Singh Chaggar in 1976 (do some research on this). The racist murdering gang have "matured" into senior members of the BNP now. Have you actually physically met any official from the BNP?
  13. Delhi doesn't really host the slimmest Singhs. The overweight Sardar is quite a common site around Delhi.
  14. Agreed in general it's not the best term to use, but in context it does get used on Gurdwara stages quite often. The instance of when Massa Ranghar put "kanjariya" to dance in Harmandir Sahib is a common example where Dhadi's use the term on stages. Tarsem Singh Moranwali is essentially a Dhadi Vaar parcharak which usually involves communicating in a dramatic way, be it over dramatic in some instances. Terms like Kanjar, Haramkhor, Haramee, Kutee are used and have been used in parchaar (particular Dhaadi Vaars) to get points accross.
  15. http://www.stopthebnp.org.uk/uncovered/pg09.htm Muslims are now the main victims of BNP racism. Since September 11th was revealed to be the work of Islamic terrorists, Muslims in this country have taken the brunt of abuse by those wanting to exploit tragedy. All ethnic groups exist as a target for the BNP, but their choice of victim is cynical: “We reject both pro-Zionist internationalism… and the Islamification of our homelands. Which enemy is it in our political interest to be seen to be opposing more vigorously at the moment? To a party aiming to win seats in London, the West Midlands and the former mill-towns of Northern England, the answer should be pretty obvious”. It is clear then, that the BNP see racism against Muslims as a vote winner. Muslims are an easy target for fascists. This is why the BNP cowardly singles them out for abuse. Under British law, Muslims do not exist as an ethnic group, and so technically cannot be the victims of discrimination. In other words, the BNP can goad Muslims and get away with it. This is why the BNP was campaigning against Muslims long before the New York attacks. The BNP claim that it is not Asians but only Muslims they have a problem with. This is not true. ‘Muslim’ is often used as a codeword for ‘Asian’ precisely because of gaps in the law. Nick Griffin pretended that he was not blaming ordinary Muslims, but expressed horror when Tony Blair pushed the same message. “Blair and Bush lie about Islam”, Griffin declared, claiming that is was an attempt by Blair to “Curry favour with Britain’s three million angry Muslims”. Ordinary Asians in Bradford and Oldham are placed in the same category as those terrorists who flew planes into the World Trade Centre. “The question of whether or not our land will remain ours will be decided not in the mountains of Afghanistan, but in towns like Oldham and Burnley. Anyone who finds that hard to believe needs only to read the Koran to understand why”. By getting support from Muslim haters in other ethnic groups, the BNP are fostering more division and race hate. These Sikh and Hindu BNP supporters represent only a handful of fanatics. They speak for noone but themselves. As far back as 1996, the BNP were attacking Muslims as being separate from other ethnic groups. Then members were active in campaigns against the opening of mosques in east and south London. They wrote at the time, “The BNP has no objection to Muslims having their own places of worship – providing they are in Muslim countries and not in Britain”. The BNP has recently claimed that Al-Qia’da is the true form of Islam and that moderate Muslims who want to live peacefully with other religions are non-believers. This is clear incitement and distortion. Most of all, Griffin’s anti-Muslim stance is hypocrisy. In the mid-1980s when he was a leading officer in the National Front he openly cavorted with Islamic extremists. He supported the Ayatollah Khomeini’s fundamentalist regime in Iran, and sought backing from Libya’s Colonel Gaddafi
  16. "Kanjar, Kanjarpauna, Kanjari " are used quite commonly in language. The term speaks for itself. In this context the parcharak's put it into perspective and I actually agree with him. However, I also now realise that this parcharak, Tarsem Singh, has collabarated with promoters of Kanjarpauna like Jazzie B in the past, which only makes his comments a bit hypocritical
  17. When I was growing up I used to see a very very old framed print in an elderly hindu-sharma neighbours bedsit which showed Shiva in a full Keshadari roop with long dara parkash, kesh tied up. Completely contrary to the "pretty boy" (almost feminine) images we normally see.
  18. Well, now that your asking.. I would quite like to have a lal bati on my car.... Can you pick one up from Halfords..?
  19. Interesting.........Many thanks. Many of our Punjabi born today do not connect to kes, and sadly miss out carrying the Gurus Mohar. It's interesting to note how far back the land of Punjab and Kes goes back. The ancient name for Punjab was BrahmaRishi Desh where the land would have been run by Rishis who would have had the Keshdhari appearance. From a Mughal called 'Babar' to the modern day 'Barber' in his/her saloon, the attack on the Guru's Mohar is only getting greater and more people are willing to loose our greatest asset, our Kes.
  20. Honestly.. I don't think he (Babbu Maan) himself is jumping on the band wagon as much as people are placing him on a bandwagon in order to get their personal issues out with Baba Ranjit Singh or simply to be the 'flavour of the month' in Punjab (i.e Badal Jnr). It's a manufactured situation, where people (including a number of users on this website) are pumping it to be the 'situation of the year'.
  21. Don't we all my friend... If we did this first, as a kaum we'd move a million steps forward... Too much energy wasted to bringing the next man down ties our hands up and conveniently puts us in the place where those dushts want us!! A non-progressive 25 years, all due to no focus on our own lifes but plenty of attacks on others..
  22. How exciting! Good for him! Let's hope he doesn't sing other silly songs about drinking on his mitar's tractor to spoil this song with real meaning. Let's hope he leads by example and adopts the roop of his GURU and does lovely parchaar. Let's hope he becomes a Khalsa role model tommorrow and not just some 5 minute folk singer who sang 100 songs about the waist line of a 18 year old girl.
  23. What makes you jump to that conclusion? Clearly the topic has been allowed to be shaped into various segments such as mona v keshdhari battle, baba v baba hater battle, amritdhari v non amritdhari battle, baba ranjit singh v babbu maan battle. Is it 'what exactly was said to who by who' OR is it what we wanted them to say and the interpretation we manufactured? Clearly something is being manufactured here and once again we are so stuck up our own high and mighty behinds to even notice this. In reality, I bet Baba Ranjit Singh and Babbu Maan don't even have an issue with each other.....but most of us would want them to...
  24. Am I still missing something...all that was said was an invitation for Babu Maan to take amrit...where's the personal attack?..you'd think someone swore at Babbu Maan's mum or something (some of the comments on youtube are disgusting, there are some real harsh swear words attacking Sikhi in general not just Baba Ranjit Singh)..Can someone actually quantify this whole fiasco without turning it into their own personal hate campaign? Why are people so dead set against being told to keep their kes and take amrit? Wouldn't Sant Jarnail Singh have said the same...to put it into context.. is it really about the cars or is it the fact that we hate each other...?
  25. Bless your cotton little white socks Ford Capri. When you do Naam Abhiyaas on a daily basis it becomes a daily reharsal. What better performance in life than sitting together and doing naam simran. Try it some time, in between your other AGENDAS... Dhardewale creates false emotion and hype so the sangat put money on the stage. Do you think Dhadrewale could give a programe on Sikh Ethics or social philosophy with in Sikhi ? At best he is a musician type. Last time I checked, Sikh Ethics was Rehat Maryada and Social Philsophy was Gurmat. All seem to be covered in most parcharaks kathas...perhaps what they dont discuss is support for the BNP, hate for muslims and paranoia of deceptive women..best place do discuss that would be your local loony bin or the next SAS gathering at Startford Road!
