  3. man have u all noticed how queer the world is getting as it loses religion more and more? theres news like this everyday lately. Rosie weds longtime girlfriend in San Francisco ^Rosie O'Donnell and Kelli Carpenter outside San Francisco city hall immediately after getting married In a show of defiance against U.S. President George W. Bush's staunch opposition to same-sex marriage, comedian Rosie O'Donnell flew across the United States on Thursday to marry her longtime girlfriend. After tying the knot in San Francisco, California, O'Donnell told a cheering throng that she was there to celebrate her lover for her "brand new wife," former dancer and Nickelodeon marketing director Kelli Carpenter. But she added, the couple was also inspired by "vile" comments on same-sex marriage U.S. President George W. Bush made earlier this week. "We were both inspired to come here after the sitting president said the vile and vicious and hateful comments he did on Tuesday," O'Donnell told the crowd at San Francisco's City Hall, explaining why she and Carpenter decided to make the whirlwind trip from New York. Since Feb. 12 -- when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newscombe announced his city would contravene state marriage laws and issue licences to same-sex couples -- more than 3,300 new marriages have been registered in the city. < br>O'Donnell announced her wedding plans in a TV interview earlier Thursday, explaining Bush's call for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage was a major factor. "I think the actions of the president are, in my opinion, the most vile and hateful words ever spoken by a sitting president," O'Donnell told ABC's Good Morning America. "I am stunned and I'm horrified. "I find this proposed amendment very, very, very, very shocking. And immoral. And, you know, if civil disobedience is the way to go about change, then I think a lot of people will be going to San Francisco. And I hope they put more people on the steps to marry as many people as show up. And I hope everyone shows up." After their brief ceremony on the steps of city hall, in front of a crowd of cheering supporters, O'Donnell told reporters why the pair was rushing back to New York right after. "Tomorrow is parent day at our kids' school. "Some people ask us where we're going on our honeymoon," she quipped. "With four kids under the age of eight, there will be no honeymoon." O'Donnell reportedly decided to get hitched during the recent trial over her now-defunct Rosie magazine. The fact she was denied her application for spousal privilege in that case has made her a staunch advocate of legal same-sex marriage, the comedian has said. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...b=Entertainment

  5. you did? must have been someone from this site? :T: this was done by a friend from SFU Surrey...representing anyway he talked to me about posting his stuff without letting him know because he's such a modest sikh that he doesnt want to show off anything and wants to have no ego but i thought it was wrong not to share and i think the ego can be controlled somehow another way (can anyone think of another way? for example for a famous sikh to have no ego what way should he think?). i think he took his name off the credits now to be anonymous
  6. i especially liked there two points in the Q&A Q:Sikhi seems to talk a lot about time-wasting rituals, but let's see. My Sikh friend said it takes him 40-45 minutes to do his hair and wrap his pagg around his head every morning, but , what if he woke up late one day for work...what's he gonna do....??? Aren't the 5 Ks a big ritual? A: So, a total of ten minutes. I dare say that is less than cutting one's hair and shaving Long hair is quite healthy as it is even a reflection of good health: (when healthy, hair shines, when sick, it loses luster), it is also not an impediment to daily life. In fact, you'll be healthier if you have long hair: no body resources go to replacing the hair that was cut: isn't it a slap on the face when you shave and then a day later, the hair returns? Maybe it was supposed to be there!
  7. comedy can be a respectable job. this is very good :ww::

  19. what would u do? meaning if leaving the party wasnt an option. lol and dont say just eat
  20. I agree dancing doesnt serve a great purpose the way people go to clubs and parties regularly but when you are at a rare occasional party I think it's better to dance than to just sit and watch because it is good to move ur body. I've heard a sikh say that its like they are putting on a show for people but I dont think that's true because they are dancing because its their choice and it feels good and enjoyable to them. We can see the good beat in the music and look at it in a positive way. Anyways the question is, would it be better to just sit there than to dance?
  21. If humans never ate meat they wouldn't be the most developed animals like they are today. "If other organism's eggs die naturally then shouldn't you let a hen's eggs die on their own too?" Nobody keeps everything 100% natural. Man-made things is what kept us advancing not leaving everything natural. and whats wrong with wanting things in sikhi proven?
  22. i would like to comment on this q&a. they say we can eat vegetables because we dont cause them suffering well i'm sure the eggs wont feel any suffering either. does this also mean its ok to kill animals if u do it in a way they wont feel anything. for example the way doctors drug humans so they wont feel anything. The part here i agree with is "The other reason is that animal flesh is not healthy. There are virtually no studies that claim an all animal diet would be healthy, but thousands that show the benefits of the vegetable kingdom." and thats the reason i dont eat meat. It's just not as healthy and not needed. bravekhalsa i do have lots of different views but i'm not stuck on them just have lots of questions please dont see it as an ego. how it became an egg is just by the chicken's menstruation. other animals including humans have those die all the time
