  1. i dont even think eggs are wrong cause the ones they sell are those that were never fertilized so they never had a life in them. i dont think its necessary to fuss about avoiding all those bakery items. it would be good if egg replacer became more popular though but no big deal
  2. dhanvad pyari sangat!! u've made my janam din happy already
  3. the point i made was that u shouldnt depend on a kachera to remind u to stay away from lust u should be able to remind urself that without it just using common sense and keeping ur mind clean by filtering out the lust
  4. hmm i was thinking.. it might be cool for there to be more and more mixes to the point where we cant even keep track of race and castes anymore but loooooong way to go before that happens
  5. one leg in one leg out? come on! u make these things like rituals they dont actually mean much u just force the habit on urself. u dont need the symbols to remind u ur brain can do that. besides once it becomes a part of u it wont really remind u of anything because it'll become hard to notice its even there. instead of making the symbols remind u to be a good person maybe u can just make ur thinking habits change in ur mind
  6. well i dont think theres much point in wearing both. anyways that monkey question came from the thought of evolution.
  7. yea somebody please find an older gursikh bibi and ask what they would do. oh i have another dumb question... do female monkeys mentruate the same way as humans?
  8. i dont think the question is about being thought of as unpure. maybe its about wearing a kachera at that time not being practical since its not very fitting. i dont think there should be a problem with women wearing regular panties. the symbols are mainly meant to help sikhs represent their beliefs but a kachera wont show anyway so why bother? please dont say "because its the hukam" just why it would be wrong to wear regular underwear
  9. a lot of sikhs will just vote for him because he's a sikh. thats how people's bias works everywhere and the government try to control how many votes they get by putting a certain race representative to run in certain areas.
  10. yea it used to have a lot more solid answers what happened? it also says "Hair has a purpose on the body, except for women's facial hair" hmm what purpose does it have for men then? its like men live in different conditions or something
  11. no i dont think that would be jootha. that happens all the time where they hand me two parshadas and i give one to someone beside me. no big deal
  12. are sikhs allowed to exchange engagement rings?
  13. haha ever seen those animal print pughs?
  14. http://www.liquidgeneration.com/sabotage/h...ye_sabotage.asp test ur accuracy
  15. I just saw this movie and found it really touching. There are a lot of similarities between the japanese samurai and the khalsa. I recommend everyone to watch this. I wont write too much about it though since I dont wanna spoil it
  16. i really love the bright orange khalsa color the best though. i think it really makes the person glow
  17. yes yes i remember that but i'm just thinking like if someone that didnt really believe in amrit took it. i dont think it will effect them at all. they would still eat meat. people just make it true what they want to believe about amrit but the power is actually inside themselves all the time. after i took amrit it didnt actually make me instantly forget meat i had to do that on my own. people that learn exactly that amrit will do this will find that it works but it all depends what you learned about it. how is amrit prepared anyways? its just natural resources found on the earth that we share. i'm sorry if my posts seem insulting but they're not intended to be. i just still have things to consider before becoming a true believer.
  18. so does no bhangra mean no reception or party?
  19. ok this isnt really related to the topic but.. i dont truly believe that amrit has some magical power that makes u ur bad habits like that. If you believe it then u make it come true yourself but its not actually the amrit. It's like that trick bugs bunny pulled in space jam where he gave the team that "magic water" and it appeared to work
  20. A real sikh is ONLY supposed to wear blue or orange and white and black?
  21. actually i think the truth is that button really doesnt do anything but if u buy something from the ads u pay the site and thats the money they donate to charity. the advertisers are not paying them because the ads are their own. its the buyers that pay them. polls and stuff always have ways to cheat and they're not secure. the only way it would work is in a case like if the government gave each person a code to get in and make their single vote. the webby was just peoples voice so not as solid. this site isnt straight to the point
  22. for marriage people follow quite a few rituals like rubbing that yellow besan on the bride and groom, dipping bangles in milk and putting them on, making some design out of colored flour and rice, throwing money around, etc. I dont understand the significance of some of these. Are sikhs supposed to be against these? I dont think its important to make too much of a big deal about them since they're just fun things to do but I'm just wondering if Sikhs consider those ok??
  23. oh oh sorry about that.was just being too distrusting. it's a great site i'm just surprised i missed hearing about it before. thanks for clearing it up it makes it a lot easier to spread the word
  24. its always pretty hard at first but once u get used to it meat becomes a total taboo and u wont even think about going near it or feel that ur missing anything. everyone has the same habits they follow everyday no matter what. we should be able to control and changge them but to do that it takes about 30 days of doing the new habit to make it permanent. if we dont NEED to kill animals to live we should not be
