May I remind you that none of our guru sahibs had Anand Karaj Marriages and the Anand Karaj Act was passed in 1909, 200 years after the passing on of Guru Gobind Singh ji. It can be argued therefore that had guru Sahib wanted us to have Anand Karaj marriages he would have infact introduced them. GOD is everywher therefore as long as HUMILITY, RESPECT and LOVE is shown for the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, I dont see a problem in marriages taking place outside the gurdwara, personally. As for non sikhs marrying sikhs, these relgious name tags Sikh, Hindu etc are just that. Who is to say whether someone DESERVES to marry in the gurdwara or infront of the guru granth sahib? We are not PURE enough to have that authority, we are too full of anger, ego and pride to make such a judgment. DO U THINK IF THE GURUS WERE AROUND IN PHYSICAL FORM THEY WOULD REFUSE ANYONE? Kind of, lol Here is a funnier example of Committe members getting other peoples kids to do the dirty work. A friend and i were in the langar hall one time and an elder came over to me and asked me to get the mop due to a spillage and asked if i would mind mopping it up. I couldnt say know , so obliged. Whilst doing so, i noticed a guy a little older than me call out dad to this same committe member, and I (being young and a little stubborn) thought to myself , "why didnt he ask his own son to do it, does he feel his OWN sonis too good to do it? At the time it annoyed me! Looking back, the shear "besharam" attitude makes me laugh.

Yes mehtab singh its true dat when I first came here, my posts were anti muslim due to things I had witnessed them doing to our sikhs. But if u read my posts above and others u will see dat I have realised dat anger and hate get u know where and destroy you, so I have changed and try to walk on the right path of god. I want many of the YOUTH here to be AWARE of certian elders in the SIKH community, ie members of certain hate groups and gurdwara committe members, who like to spread HATE, PROPOGANDA and HYPE up the youngsters in the Sikh community to go out and do the dirty work and be HATERS or FANATICS, but.................... When it comes to their own kids, whom you would expect to at least have a turban or attend the gurdwara once a week, NOTHING, they will be the complete opposite. These unscrupupous crafty elders and so called pillars of the community keep their OWN kids well AWAY from the violence or troublesome activities, WHILST at the same time encouraging other peoples kids to the dirty work! NEXT TIME YOU ARE APPROACHED BY THESE hypocritical ELDERS WITH TEARS IN THEIR EYES ASKING YOU TO DO SOMETHING FOR THE PANTH, ASK THEM WHERE THEIR KIDS ARE???
