  8. Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa Vaheguru ji ki Fateh Why are you so engrossed in worries? Why are you afraid of some one? Who may kill you? The soul is immortal; it neither dies nor takes birth. The present is here and now, the past is irrecoverable and the future will be good. Don't fret over the past and don't be worried about the future. The present is going on. Why do you cry? What did you lose? When you were born, what did you bring along, which has been lost? What did you produce which has been perished? It is here that you gained and it is here that you lose. The man comes to; and goes from world, empty handed. What you own today was not yours yesterday and will not be yours tomorrow. It does not and will not belong to anyone. You consider it your own and rejoice. This happiness of possession leads you to utter grief. Yours is this world. Start from where you feel to; stay where you desire and wind up where you want to. It has no beginning and no end. You don't fear anyone, but yourself. You are the fright and also the frightened. Change is the truth of life. What you consider as death is life in reality. In a moment a multi-millionaire is turned pauper. Give up the feeling of possession, great & the mean; differentiation of friend & foe. Then all is yours and you for everyone. Your corporeal being is a product of air, water and fire and it merges into the same leaving behind neither blood nor bones. Still your existence remains the same. Then ponder over what you are. Wake up! and become the eternal sons of the Almighty. You are the great and unique manifestation of Nature's power. All the divine powers are possessed by you, like a tree hidden in the seed. In fact you don't fear anybody; you don't have any worry, suspicion, pain or grief. You are His dear ones. Surrender yourself completely to Him. Always, remember "Waheguru" to achieve salvation. Let your life be guided by the saying "Whatever God wills, is good". Be content with the will of God. Remember Him both in pleasure & pain.
  9. I came across this beautiful article and wanted to share... Hou Tumree Karo Nit Aaaaaaaaaaaaaas Prabh Mohey Kab Gal Laavenhgey || She sat by the side of the road, a beggars cup in her hand outstretched towards him, an undefinable look of hunger in her eye. Her clothes were in tatters. He could see they had been fine once, and of good quality. There were a scattering of objects around her that told of days of finery, gone by, and on closer inspection, sheer neglect. It was as though she no longer cared for such objects, and abandoning them, hungered for something else, that mere objects could never satisfy. It was this look of hunger, that caught his eye, that drew him, that captured his soul. He dropped an offering in her cup, but it fell through a hole in the bottom, and rolled away to the side. He looked at her closer, quizzically, she returned his gaze, steadily looking deep into his eyes, until his soul felt bared. It was then he understood her hunger. She hungered for love only. He returned her gaze with one of utter benevolence. Her cup filled with bright golden light, until it ran over, spilling down the sides. She grasped the cup with both hands now, close, and sighed with content, closing her eyes half way, in complacent. He too felt filled. The feeling stayed with him through the day and well into the night. The next morning he found himself going once again along the track where he'd seen her the day before. Yes, she was there with that craving look once more in her eyes. He bent forward a little, looking deeply into her eyes. A trace of light played there, left over from the day before. Once again he filled her with his benevolence, until she shone brightly. It was though she had become the cup, and love filled her until she overflowed with it. He found himself, visiting the spot where she sat every day. His kindness rewarded with an unspeakable, indescribable feeling of well being. He began to hunger for this feeling. She gradually gained a more contented look, and a glow began to emanate from her. Day after day passed this way. He would pass by where she sat, begging. Her cup began to have a sort of sheen about it as though it was polished. The exchange between them was like nothing he'd ever experienced before. His everyact of kindness, however trifling, gave him a feeling of deep satisfaction, he began to recognize it as love. One day his circumstance changed. He passed by her, and spoke, " I have to go away for a time. I don't know how long. I won't be able to pass by this way for some time." She looked at him questioningly, a tear sprang to her eye. In that instance she too realized love. She spoke softly. " Your kindness is the greatest gift I have ever been given in this lifetime. Your benevolence appeased the deep hunger with in. Surely you have given enough, nay so much, that it will be a long time before I hunger so again. Only I wish there was something I could give back. Something of value, not a tawdry thing, like these useless gifts," she gestured at the forgotten finery. "But, I have nothing, only what kindness you have shared." She looked once more into his soul. "Don't forget me please she begged.. for a beggar she was. He replied" i cannot." I will remember you where ever i am. If you look deeply enough with in your heart you will find me." he turned a way. It was a long time before he was able to pass her way again. Her hunger was sharp and he again filled her with his benevolence. He too was filled. And so the days pass. She loves him still incredibly, and peeks in her heart now and then to see. But the sharpness of the pang of missing him so, keeps her from looking too deeply, too often. For then, her beggars cup fills with tears. So rather, she enshrines him in a special place within, that neither forgets, nor remembers, but lives daily in the moment of forever love, in love, beloved. She still sits, a beggar, for a beggar she is, and begs love. And sometimes, when he too feels the hunger, he passes her way filling her with his benevolence. She is Soul (your, mine , his , hers....A Thirsty Soul) He is Her Kant, Her Love, Her Beloved Vaaahegurooooooooooo Vahegurooooo
  10. In 1651, Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee and his family and 2200 Sikh men were traveling by horse from Kiratpur Sahib. On route to Kartarpur Sahib, Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji stayed at a place where there is now a Gurdwara called Harian Bela for 3 days. Very close to Harian Bela, resided an individual by the name of Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt. When word spread that Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji's are at Harian Bela, people from near and far came to be blessed by Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji. Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt tended to the care and looking after of Shri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji's horses. Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt fed the horses green vines with roots intact as that was all he had to offer at his home. The horses were noticeably content and Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji asked Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt what he had fed the horses. Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt replied that all he had in his home to offer for the horses was green vines. Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji was pleased with the care that had been provided to his horses and in return Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji blessed Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt with the blessing that "Forever more the vines will remain green and be rid of any ailments with proper meditation". This blessing was to be carried to Baba Prem Das Ji Parjapatt and anyone who had true humbleness to allow for the creation of their families. To this day the vines have still remained strong and green and are now surrounded with a metal cage (to protect the same) directly in front of the Gurdwara Sahib. The Gurudwara Sahib is built about 5 feet behind the encased green vines. The green vines are still entwined around the Date Tree to which Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji had tied his horse to, in 1651. A short distance from the Gurudwara Sahib is the "Sarowar" designated area for meditational bathing. In 1651 Shri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji pierced the ground with his arrow to allow for water (as at that time there was no water supply anywhere near the area). Dhan Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Jee
