  10. There’s quite a lot going on that you’ve written there. Normally when people go to these places where’s there’s a baba type person are diverted from the truth. Devi/devte would not harm anybody as far as I know, but if anybody knows more please explain. It’s the baba type people that would be using wrong methods to attract people to profit from it. I don’t think he’s blessed by anything from what you’ve described, but sounds more like has negativity on him from the way he’s behaving, aswell as the ongoing problems he/the family have. Just don’t eat anything given by them, or give any of your clothes in case it’s any negativity is being sent your way and keep doing Gurbani. Gurbani is what will help you. It may be that he’s being manipulated or brainwashed by another person so it creates distress in the family. Do Ardas to Waheguru to help your father to get out of that environment also and hope he gets on the right path too. Your mother did good by taking you and your brother away from that negativity. As an Amritdhari you will have Guruji so keep doing paath and Simran, then nothing can come near you. You are lucky you are away from it, there’s people that are stuck in families that have to go through the divisions made by family members and baba types, I wouldn’t even call them babas, but pakhandis. Have you had any professional help? Call one of the Sikh organisation helplines for more advice.

  14. Dimming the lights is a good idea, as I have problems with bright lights and it would help with concentration. But penji, my post was written in a joking way. I don’t do that myself, but I can imagine others doing it. My concentration tends to divert to other things.
  15. Doabe gyani ji, I looked at some auntyjis suits n wanted the same one. I was trying to concentrate, but ki kara ina sona suit c, mera dhian ode te c. Fer main dream kardi c, ke kaash mera v suit ida da hunda, nice nice. ?
  16. Yeah well this was a long time ago. Many many moons ago. There were no Sikhi schools then, it was part of a normal school routine to sing hymns. I used to have a bible too, but don’t remember much. Nativity plays are still done in schools at Christmas time, but I don’t know about the hymns. I guess it depends which area you are in too. I think there weren’t any Sikhi schools then either, as we lived in a majority gora area. The catholic schools were separate from our school. We didn’t have the privileges of what there are now. But it was down to the parents/family to teach the children about their faith/religion. Not sure if Sikhi is taught in RE classes now. The Gurdwara did have Punjabi classes, which I attended for a bit and our secondary school had a few too, which I was at top always. Don’t know why as I didn’t study much, but somehow seemed to be good at it.
  17. It was the same at our school. We also sang hymns in assembly. It was the norm in all schools, but I don’t know what it is nowadays.

What’s wrong with it? What doesn’t make sense is you complaining about it here, on another site, when you can contact them if you’ve got a problem with it.
