  1. Lolzzzz hahahahaha the elder One is the background dancer but took all the limelight....eh v art a Thele digna, nale coat saaf hojana lol
  2. Inderjeet Singh Jeenus does that for a living, it's his job. His dancing is of feminine style but guess that's th way it's gotta be done to teach others, as he is a choreographer, he is doing classical dance in the video, many dancers do classical it's an art. Just we don't normally see a Singh doing it.
  3. Sometimes you get a build up of mucus, ear wax. It could be anything really, best to get it checked by doc to rule out any medical symptoms.
  4. To be honest don't really dwell on th names, just read everybody's and think all are Gods creation. Even th ones that I used to not agree with sometimes have words of wisdom. Everybody is not the same 24/7, so I just agree with the advice and comments made by any that are for the betterment. Agree with myself sometimes, disagree with myself sometimes lol. But seriously some very gud posters, it would be unfair to mention names for me, as others will feel judged or neglected. Some funny ones too that make u smile.
  5. This is also Waheguru jis daat, just don't let Ahankar, and moh and lobh get in the way.
  6. Fully agree with luckysingh99 paji, very gud answer ji. I think her parents will never agree, and probably are hoping she will give n follow watever they are. But that will be Aldo destroying her life. If u really care and if u love her then it is also in ur concern to protect her to going the wrong way. The thing is you have to work to convince them that ur gud for their daughter, as end of day she's their daughter. So on one side u can save her depending on how strong she is and other side maybe save the family too. It's hard but do ardas To Waheguru ji and they will do wat is right thing. Gud luck ji.
  7. Hmm, don't get me wrong penji but it sounds like ur trying too hard and to justify yourself that now you are an Amritdhari you have to please others to judge u are nice or a caring person. Just be yourself, think logically, why are u going to go up to people you don't know for no reason? If there becomes situations where u have eye or face contact on passing just smile if u want if they look at u. Carry on communicating with the people you already know eg: family friends etc circles. What's wrong with smiling? We don't expect nothing but just some understanding as we are human too. Obviously u don't need to go into wrong social places, clubs pubs etc. but I personally feel because one is Amritdhari everything just doesn't stop. Your emotions bhavna will still be there. So u will get happiness sadness anger joy still. Just because one is mona or moni or jo v hai, doesn't mean they drink do all wrong things etc. you are lucky you have been given the daat of becoming Amritdhari, so just be tension free and love all. You will learn as u go along ur journey, things don't change overnight. Just focus on naam and Akal purukh, and if u see your friends just be normal, say hi hello ask about them n wats goin on, their welfare, but don't talk about the wrong stuff. And they will also ask your welfare too, and be happy and proud that they have a friend with pure soul as u. Nimrata is the keyword. Don't force yourself to be something you can't. Like our Gurus saw God in all, Hanji rehat maryada ch reho but God is everywhere and that's wat Sikhi teaches us. Equality and to treat all with same love. You never know your attributes guhn may help somebody else too and they may want to become Amritdhari too one day. You know a lot of moneh look at Amritdharis n think woww this person is a great soul and wish they too were. And they too want to experience their company. I used to have Some friends, before takin Amrit they were so nice and helpful and like brothers n sisters. But once they started changing they were completely different. It is gud the took Amrit, but they were like totally different, didn't feel no care or love from them at all. They would only sit with Amritdharis or money they selected. And that was so hurtful, being cut off n made to feel so low. They had no nimrata, it was always abt them n become so noisy n loud and direct with accusations. So in end I just left coz if ur gonna do that n treat people like dirt that's not wise either. Bit of courtesy makes ones day n gives others hope too. Just don't let ahankar get to you so that it harms others. Leave it to God. And don't judge people or say to them ur bad not doin this that BLA bla, as that will push them away from God. The only way they will want to learn or get nearer to the daat u got is from ur reflections and being in some contact with u. Even it's just greetings or being genuinely concerned, coz u come in contact with moneh all life, be it teachers doctors nurses business people, the world is full of different people. Think insaniyat humanity that's wat our Gurus did to spread the Sikhi Maf karo je Kuch galt likea hove. Just my own personal opnion ji.
  8. Firstly ur nanke are not Bahia, that's ur grandmas maiden name, not ur mothers. It's normally the mothers maiden name and ur side that you should look at for the blood connection. But also bear in my mind if somebody is related to ur grandma down the line. I think you should ask your family or elder member if are able and look at ur nanke and dhadke first, then research the grandmas side. You will get ur answer only from researching it with the help of ur family. Hope all works out well.
  9. Why name church? Church is used for Christians. We are Sikhs, Why not Gurdwara (Gurus Door) Or (Gurus Gateway), as that's wat it is. Ideas to attract to Gurdwara are needed yes, but you can't take the Sikhi out of Sikhi. Paji intellect4divine take a look at this, they have some good ideas.
  10. I don't believe in celebrating lohri. All are equal. It's bit like Halloween, but don't see the point in it, apart for the excuse for a party or get together which has no meaning. It's not like it's a birthday, but people spend so much on this. And was this dulha man real?
  11. 2nd) how do u communicate with dhan shiri guru granth sahib ji ? because they are supposed to give us order *Hukam nama* which we hear every day and there is a meaning written of it but if u ask me most of the time it is an explanation and not an order .... is there a way to talk to waheguru ji ? - how do u communicate with ur parents? U feel Hukamnana is an explanation, well yes it's explaining the order. So it depends on how it's interpreted, so for you the interpretation may not be felt the same as for somebody else. Eg: if u are looking towards it for guidance for a particular problem u have that day, ur problem will be different to somebody else's. That's the beauty of Maharaj ji, they communicate themselves with many. 3rd) how did guru nanak became a guru / ie - found waheguru ? Research it, u only have google right? 4th) im a vegetarian my whole family wants to eat chicken / meat and i do not let them is it wrong ? we have prakash of guru granth sahib ji at our roof ... but we live on a different floor ! two other floors are consumed by other people ie - not family etc and they cook meat etc .. so what should i do ? i feel like i should let them eat but i dont want it to be cooked in front of me i feel unconformable.. In my opnion there should be no meat cooked in the dwellings where there is Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. If the two other floors are separate dwelling how will u see or know it's being cooked. I assume u are living in separate apartments n don't know the people? 5th) if guru nanak is the messenger what about other religions... should not they change religions ? They are everybody's not just belong to Sikhs. Converting religions is exactly wat our Gurus fought against for in order for us to live better lives. Nobody should be forced to convert. Je tusi apne pairh kehiy Behrihian ch rakunge fir oh behrih dubjandi. There are many holy people came into this world but they spread Gods name through different dharams. Instead of answering the questions myself u may look at this and get answers to ur questions. http://m.youtube.com/user/basicsofsikhi
  12. Hanji I was thinkin maybe my parrot like quote was not right, as even if there is not full dhian on every shabad, some is likely to be absorbed. So somethin better than nothing is being done with love rather than nothing at all. One must realise it is not easy for some to create or feel the love so doing Gurbani is better than wasting time talking about other things which one may love,eg: opposite genders, fashion popular music etc etc. and who knows Waheguru may grace that one day, which is also in their hands, as long as one try's from their side.
  13. Ritual is set of actions or procedure which may include wording. Ritual emphasises on the actions. Nitnem is Gurbani, not merely wording. Gurbani describes the qualities of Waheguru, God, and praises them. Gurbani is the truth which the soul benefits from. Gurbani should not be done as a ritual, but with love and from the soul, and not like parrot fashion just for the sake of it. Bani hai Guru, Guru hai Bani.
  14. It's ok paji JSinghz but I will not call those that say ambarsar as illiterate or backwards.
  15. It's ok paji I know now, Amritsar sifti da ghar , gurbani Vichy aunda a. Okji from now I will try to say Amritsar. See some can digest it JSinghz paji ..
  16. Thanku paji Jonny101 I didn't know that as don't have knowledge of Gurbani. As never seen it anywhere in Gurbani, could u please give an example.
  17. So y did people from there also say Ambarsar? Ambarsar is different form of pronunciation. It's not a slander word, how some people are making out. Ambarsar means Pool of Ambrosia. It was also called Ramdaspur.
  18. Id rather be a backwards than a ahankari show off know it all not. By saying that u are putting down all our elders that worked so hard for us. Jagsaw Singh paji agree with u totally, u know wat ur on about, good knowledge.
  19. I say ambardhari too and found it hard to adjust to saying amritdhari. And say Ambarsar. I is coz I was so used to th elders saying it. I wouldn't say it's laziness, as I say sabji too. It's whatever u been brought up to say. I never hears pind people say sabzi. It's city people that say that. Pind punjabi and city punjabi are different.
  20. Are u stressed about anything? What noises do u hear? In th house or outside or in ur dreams? Does anybody else hear them? Carry on with ur Simran. What made u stop. U only see these in dreams so don't worry. Don't even think about them.
  21. Lol oh well let's see wat happens. Wonder how that man took all them. Maybe he didn't tell us wat happened lol. Apneh always say Koina Koina tek a asi 5tv 4 laptop eh go press pruss koi problem ni lol.
