  1. @dazed nice dream, maybe you should participate in kirtan.
  2. Confuse hogi- yoga tek hai karn nu?
  3. Ohh, so i just went and bought another bottle of extra virgin on offer at sainsburys. I guess i massage it in as normal, and not heat up? Would it help fine hair? I normally use baby oil but stopped since i read something on here about the paraffin. @ luckysingh99, we thought olive is good for thorka, what other oil is good without being high in fat. @savinderpal also have dermatitis so will also try the kachi lassi. Thankuji for that tip.
  4. Who are the others that are saying it? If its relatives, then dont let your mother come under any any pressure if she does not want. If the doctors then consider what the posters above wrote.
  5. May i ask does this also apply to non-amritdharis about the kamaiyi and giving percentage to others? Not a sarcastic question, but would like to know as sometimes i dont get my own food.

    sad

Why are you sad? Has something happened in your life in order for you to feel this way?
  7. Yeah the pathileh hard to wash especially in evening. Can you wash them in a dishwasher? I normally fill them up with real hot water and fairy liquid let them soak for a while then wash as easier to scrub or actually scrubless.
  8. Thankuji ii never thought of using the extra virgin one, so the Bertolli ones we cook with will be ok? Jad thorka laungi daal nu thora jea sirh ch paalea karugi :-)
  9. I do yoga with others with same health condition. We do simple exercises and/or Pranayama, just starting that. I have read the article but dont understand properly. I do it to help with my symptoms and find it does help me, and afterwards i feel a bit energized and am able to do daily tasks. Sometimes i try to do simran with it, but not sure if i am doing the right thing.
  10. I think what you have done is wrong. Not wrong that you have taken Amrit, but wrong that you took it to gain back powers that you lost. To me this is so wrong reason to take Amrit. You are lucky you have took it, and should respect it for what it is. Its not about taking Amrit and expecting everything to be ok, or to gain magical powers. Its about Rehat Maryada, discipline and to praise god. You should not expect anything in return. Its Waheguru that has given you the opportunity to become Amritdhari, so you should do for them something by praising them not expect them to do for you. Sorry if that sounds harsh. But honestly ask yourself what is the reason for taking it and learn what its all about.
  11. Where can i get the olive oil from? Holland and Barratt dont do it. And i guess the one we use for cooking would not be suitable?
  12. Thankuji chucksingh norris, and luckysingh you reminded me to take th d3, they been in the cupboard since last year. Thankuji, can i get the co-enzyme from the docs?
  13. Is it possible to reverse the damaged effects of it? Worried now, that most of my health deterioration maybe due to microwave.
  14. Thankuji for that info, omg i am always heating everything in the microwave especially in winter, and thinkin it saves washing the pans. No wonder i always ill. That's it i will not use it no more, and won't heat up my tea no more or beans. Good old methods when everybody was healthy. Nowadays too much technology.
  15. Yes i understand what you mean @Singh23, that's exactly what i am trying to say, but rather than be scared, let it motivate you and accept it as Wahegurus hukam.
  16. Lol penji, paneer, cheese toast beans and chaa, that's wat i will do. And chori somebody's choclate biscuits in my pocket, so i can come back next life to eat them with more pg tips wali cha. Pg tips milni nai, jithe manu bejuge.
  17. Lol im penji, brother nai. Chalo koina ur not to know. Yes you are young, there will be lots of obstacles you may face, but dont let that deter u. Keep going. You are lucky at young age you are getting this chance. Some people dont realise the path until later on in life, thus find it difficult to cope with. One thing you may want to consider is not to expect anything in return when you do simran or paat. As a Sikh, we should not expect miracles or expect to see some sort of powerful thing to happen. It only happens, with the grace of God. The more you wait for something to happen, the further you push yourself, if you know what i mean. Leave it all to Waheguru, you just do your bit and sing the praises of them. Do it with a relaxed approach not irritated or anxiously, they will be easier. And definitely go to that smagam if you can, mentioned by the other poster.
  18. Its not scary, its the truth. Maharaj ji only tells the truth as it is, its ones like me that dont want to hear these things, as it shakes our balanced mind. But its all Wahegurus hukam, it happens.
  19. This happened to me also, but i thought it was to do with my health, as i did not feel spiritual then nor so much now. But yeah it is so weird, kind of scary, like i was there, could see everything around me, but had to keep touching my self to make sure i am there.
  20. Wow was nice reading your translation penji, Raaj.kharega.khalsa. So talented.
  21. Sorry to hear about your mother penji, hanji my same advice is as all above. Waheguru is our support, try to be strong, i know easy said than done, but your mother would not to see you weak or giving up, that will affect her too. Give as much honsla as you can. Its hard but you have to take care of yourself too, when loved ones are ill its very hard to cope with, try to get as much help as you can also from the professionals, anything counselling, coping techniques, anything they can offer you, to keep your mind strong. Leave the rest to god. I know Wat its like trying to survive and to be strong, It is very hard for your mother with her pain, advise her also to do simran. If she cannot do aloud, in her mind is ok. Just keep praying to god. Waheguru mehr karo.

  23. I think the above posters Tuhintuhin and rinku_sikh are spot on, the satkaar is unique and very very lovely to watch too. I think when people have been used to committee wale gurdware and not experinced other gurdwaras they think something odd about them, but we dont realise that we are the ones that have been isolated from the world and not seen satkaar and sampardasa that have been going for years and years from proper Mahapursh/brahmgiani times, thus to our brain it seems different and with me personally i must say i am beginning to enjoy the adjustment. definitely not a cult, we had a Sukhmani Sahib ji paat at our house, and the sevadars were sooo soo gud with their satkaar, and didnt look down on us that we didnt know anything, the kirtanis are great too. They know how to sing..and it makes u want to know more about Sikhi.,
  24. You are probably working the brain too hard. Stop pushing it, if you programme it to do something it will end up doing it. Or you could be having out of body experience, but i thinks this third person thing is taking over, stop it and come back being normal. Concentrate on normal things, and dont try to get disillusioned.
