  1. Although i agree with the medicine bit you say, i got worse from taking lots of medicines, but they were given by my gps before they eventually referred me to a dermatologist who did tests and gave me the right medicine and cream. Guess everybody has different experiences. Its a case of balancing the two together. Would neem work for psoriasis? They cant seem to sort that out . and i say no to medicine and want something natural. Where emollients and creams are concerned they s.eem to be good for that
  2. @singh559 please do not advise people not to go to the specialists. If you have experienced it yourself being given medicine that has done that fair enough or if you are a specialists yourself then give your views. To Op, if they give you strong medicine you do not have to have it if you feel it will affect you. A Dermatologist deals with skin problems, does not mean you have to have another health condition to see one. He has a skin problem that is why his gp sent him. He can take back the info he is gettin on here after trying it, and they will record his results. Its important to keep a record of everything where ones health is concerned for future reference.
  3. Keep asking your dermatologist to do more tests and investigate further until they start getting some idea of what's causing it. Its hard to get the appointments, so make a list of questions to ask, that you think maybe related to it. Make a diary of your diet, when flare ups occur or worst times, any stress etc. And all the creams you use and results. But be polite when asking for help. Sometimes we need to push the specialists a bit in order to get some answers, as they have so many patients and its hard for them to remember each one personally, that some things skip their minds, after all they are human too. Also no harm in doing some of your own research from heath conditions sites or forums, just dont let all the information confuse you and focus on your problem without diverting into things that dont apply to you. Peoples views with similar problems could help, and take back any info you think maybe due to. But self manage your condition asking questions as not to offend your specialists as some dont like to be seen as unprofessional by patients. But others do welcome any info that can assist with your assessment and treatment.
  4. One thing i would like to ask is if anybody could help, if one is unable to do nitnem of panj bania on continuous basis or at all say only managing 1 or two, are they still able to take amrit? I am guessing not?
  5. @RAjkarekakhalsa penji, thats ok, but I only replied back to the way u wrote ur comment, so if it hurt u then u will realise thats how it may have hurt somebody else. Its just the way it was written which sounds very judgemental. I am not putting the khalsa way down in any way@Mehtab Singh, I have full respect towards amritdharis, as its not easy being one. But I have experienced those that call themselves amritdhari and just because they look amritdhari on top, inside they are not all that they are suppose to be, and that is very nasty people, who didnt care about nobody if they lived or died, or if they intentionally hurt them, as long as they got what they want. But that still has not stopped me from looking towards the amritdhari way of life. Its very hard to be an amritdhari, as N30Singh paji says, there are the hypocritical ones, if i talk about them it does not mean I am putting down all amritdharis. Otherwise I could take amrit too and did want to and to think about taking it. but i feel i do not know about sikhi as i am new to it, and would only be taking it thinking that god will make me better, and that would th only excuse i would be takin it. I dont want to do that by giving god a dhoka, or doing only for my matlab. sorryji if i hurt u penji or anybody else.
  6. I can understand now why non-amritdharis like myself see some amritdharis as full of hunkaar, and think they are above the rest of the world.. How on earth can u ask a question like this after asking other questions u have to lucky99? That sounds like u are saying they have only accepted u. For your information and ur narrowmindedness Maharaj accepts all, if they didnt they I would not be bowing down to them. With that kind of attitude, what do u expect to be seen as? Also how do u know they have accepted u? Because uparo jo amritdhari hona chaida ohi kardi, dikava? te andaro ida di soch? this is the reason i said some think they know it all, maybe its some like u that need to learn few things yourself instead of throwing comments like that. Who the hell are u to judge who they accept to be their Guru? We do not know that, only they know that, they can do mehr on anybody and they love all. We are all god's creations and to say something like that is very belittling to humanity, insaniyat.
  7. The Brahm Giani is the Lord and Master of all. The Brahm Giani is the Creator of the entire world. The Brahm Giani extends his hand to all. The Brahm Giani owns the entire creation. The Brahm Giani is himself the Formless Lord. Read it properly and understand, its enough proof for me to understand. When you are in pain or become ill then the doctor helps you, you are gods creation and so is the doctor. It does not matter whether you are rich or poor the doc will give you the same treatment for the same illness. Then u get better, so why would not Waheguru, the creator the lord love us the same. As karm are concerned they are due to our actions past and present, and Waheguru can change them in an instant, but if somebody murders someone then obviously they will get sentenced by the courts. If the murder was in self defence or reasons beyond their control then it would be classed as manslaughter or the courts would decide to reduce sentence it for other reasons, but still would have to do some time as punishment. Our daily lives should be enough proof that Waheguru loves all when we get help from people we dont know. When we get compliments, when somebody says hello, when somebody opens a door for us. When somebody takes time out to explain something to us. That should be sufficient proof, and we should thank the lord, Waheguru everytime we are loved and helped by whatever means, that is actually god helping us.
  8. @ I dont feel bad about it paji, but just stating what is happening, it doesnt bother me nomore, as i been thru enough dukh and people acting weird towards me coz of an illness, but people dont know as I look normal sometimes. It doesnt affect me nomore but i just think to myself that why do they do it. Its the non-amritdharis that look towards them for knowledge and respect, and they dont let them join in, or make an effort, so how is the sangat suppose to mix? It shouldnt be 2sided, sangat should be mixed, as god did not create everybody the same, and especially the ones that were not amritdhari b4..after becoming think they know it all. Aap life full enjoy karli, disco dusco jaake, sharab peeke, drugs karke, eh woh what not, not sayin all like this, but few that are, then they try to preach others how to become godloving lolz..even to the ones that dont do half the stuff they did. I tend to keep away from them type, coz they keep away from me..simple
  9. how come i cant change th font of my text?
  10. One of Guru Gobind Singh’s main gifts to the world was the message of unity and equality of all the peoples of the world. Someone is Hindu and someone a Muslim, then someone is Shia, and someone a Sunni, but all the human beings, as a species, are recognized as one and the same.
  11. Is this ok anybody? he Brahm Giani is always unattached, as the lotus in the water remains detached. The Brahm Giani is always unstained, like the sun, which gives its comfort and warmth to all. The Brahm Giani looks upon all alike, like the wind, which blows equally upon the king and the poor beggar. The Brahm Giani has a steady patience, like the earth, which is dug up by one, and anointed with sandal paste by another. This is the quality of the Brahm Giani: O Nanak, his inherent nature is like a warming fire. ||1|| The Brahm Giani is the purest of the pure; filth does not stick to water. The Brahm Giani mind is enlightened, like the sky above the earth. To the Brahm Giani, friend and foe are the same. The Brahm Giani has no egotistical pride. The Brahm Giani is in love with the One alone. The Brahm Giani is carefree. Pure are the Teachings of the Brahm Giani. The Brahm Giani is made so by God Himself. The Brahm Giani is gloriously great. The Darshan, the Blessed Vision of the Brahm Giani, is obtained by great good fortune. To the Brahm Giani, I make my life a sacrifice. The Brahm Giani is sought by the great god Shiva. O Nanak, the Brahm Giani is Himself the Supreme Lord God. ||6|| The Brahm Giani cannot be appraised. The Brahm Giani has all within his mind. Who can know the mystery of the Brahm Giani? Forever bow to the Brahm Giani. The Brahm Giani cannot be described in words. The Brahm Giani is the Lord and Master of all. Who can describe the limits of the Brahm Giani? Only the Brahm Giani can know the state of the Brahm Giani. The Brahm Giani has no end or limitation. O Nanak, to the Brahm Giani, bow forever in reverence. ||7|| The Brahm Giani is the Creator of the entire world. The Brahm Giani lives forever, and does not die. The Brahm Giani is the Giver of the way of liberation of the soul. The Brahm Giani is the Perfect Supreme Being, who orchestrates all. The Brahm Giani is the helper of the helpless. O Nanak, the Brahm Giani is the Lord of all. ||8||8||
  12. Yep i have seen this too, and it makes the other members of the sangat feel lower. Its not only guys, also women do it too, they think they own the gurdwara just becoz they are amritdhari, and everybody is nothing. To me that only shows they have ego problems. An amritdhari female has never spoken or smiled at me in a gurdwara, and only communicate with other amritdharis, whereas I find those that are not amritdhari have. But that doesnt put me off going to the gurdwara, coz i go for Maharaj jis darshan... But to be looked at as if ur dirt, or alien, is not a nice welcome, while they are laughing away, feels like they are laughing at me..you cant tell...coz they will not come out of their "lets not look at or talk to non-amritdhari" gangs....I feel its the younger generation that are like this nowadays more rather than the elders..
  13. Thankuji twanu vi Guruji de Parkash Purab dia lakh lakh vadaiyee ji..
  14. @Curioustoknow, there will be people with different views, God has not created everybody the same, if everybody was perfect we would not be in this world. I personally have learned from this site than any other. Okay I do not agree with some of the replies i get, but I am gaining knowledge from others, there are some very helpful Sikhs on this site. You will always get views from a diversity of people, its the same with any other faith/religion. Dont take anything anybody says to heart, there will always be the odd one, but I used to get fed up as I did not understand anything to start with, but as I kept reading others posts, and becoming comfortable with the information I was receiving I find it easier now, and its a great reference tool. There are people on here that have helped me, that do not know me, but to make me understand what Sikhi is all about, which has took a bit to time for me to grasp, there is sooo much to learn, and its neverending. :smile2: stay happy and dont take no tension..
  15. Do an ardas to Maharaji ji asking for help. Do it from your heart, and go to the doctors, sounds like u need professional help if its been going on for so long. You need to talk to somebody, you need professional help for it to stop if you are finding it difficult to live with. The doctors are there to help us, to be afraid of talking to them.
  16. This particular shabad by Bhai Nanak Singh Preet is sooo hard to find..... Bhai Ravinder Singh is the only one i kept coming up with, maybe u could try contacting him, as i saw a contact number on a site for him.
  17. I think the post was related to me, as I was harsh with my words. Sorry for that, maybe it came out the wrong way without thinking. but its my personal opnion, what i meant was, guys with turbans and beards, look brave and proud and full of confidence, and its nice seeing that, as when I see a Singh, first thoughts that go through my mind are gurdwara, gurbani, and how our Gurus used to be. apologies if my post caused a stir.
  18. I am a non amritdhari, and have done my fair share of fashion and tried to fit in with modern world and believe me there is no modern world. You are young and are influenced by media. I hate Wats in fashion nowadays, and to be honest think guys with beards and turbans look better. They seem to have a sense of pride in their presentation, whereas guys that shave look bare and empty of morals and kind of lost. The modern look to me seems to be turbans and beards, its being proud of it makes one look cool.
  19. looks like he put th elastoplasters on himself, apay stikiaaaa laaleiyaa lolz
  20. Its quite hard wearing a chunni, unless the material is sittable on my head and bit thick like chatanga says, i sometimes seem to spend more time trying to organise my chunni rather than concentrate on baani. I would like to ask, if one is not amritdhari, then are they able t wear a patka then put the chunni on top, or is that only allowed for amritdharis?
  21. Wouldnt be surprised if it was true, coz his security is downgrading in india, so story tha banoni peni kise traaa hana....not saying that he did make it up, coz obviously we dont know the facts, but makes one think though.
  22. @MRDoaba, there are others too, that work for more than what those born here earn in the same job, some go home with gud pay at end of week, and enjoy life to the max. their families are here illegally too, they seem to enjoy being british, celebrations, parties probably spend more than some of us, bring up their kids same way, but the only difference is they dont have a passport, but still have haumai in themselves and seem to think they own uk...and look down on those that have been living here for years or born here, and worked very hard to get where they have got...as if we are from india. So basically there are two sides to the foji story, there are the gud ones who stay in fear and earn little and praise god, and those that dont give a blank, just coz they got here to uk, and now try to advocate to uk lot about being british lolz. Gappa aundia kehiaa nu ithe aake...The gappis i dont like...
  23. Nail on the head or lohe di thili, its the wrong ones that are giving the hard working, sincere and genuinely unfortunate ones a bad name. The ones that would not leave their spouses and be grateful for them making them citizens of that country, and be there for each other. They are the ones that tell their whole situation and leave the rest to god to decide their destiny rather than lie and make out they are somebody else.
  24. Its not just guys, but girls are also doing this too. Its so hard to tell when they are lieing, and they play with people's minds in order to get a visa or to settle down abroad. I feel they should tell the truth, at least the other side then knows their situation, and end of day its the personality that people should be going for not money or whether they have a lower job than somebody else. One lie with always lead to another, I know of a few people that have married in order to settle done abroad and then leave their wives/husbands and put blame on them, saying they were always giving them a hard time, taking their money etc etc, which is total b*<banned word filter activated>. excuse the language but im really getting fed up of these students going abroad and thinking they own the countries the way they act, with no manners or morals, or respect for anybody else. Agree that it is hard for them, but what difference does it make if they tell the truth in the first place, its going to come out one day anyways, they dont realise that people have feelings and if one plays mind games with somebody then obviously the outcome is not going to be very good. What do they expect that once they get their visa or start living with the person, that they wont realise the truth? But sad to say this does happen, and is on a big scale, and lots of hearts get broken, they will take somebody for a ride right to the end, even have kids with their spouses and then leave them for somebody else, who they have been waiting to bring over a long time ago. Just be careful of who u marry from abroad thats all i will say, research, research research....
