  1. Just remembered there are some organisations in UK that maybe able to help you in this situation. Not sure if they deal with situations like this. But if you dont mind talking to them, maybe worth trying to contact them. Once again not sure Wat Kind of help they would offer. But they have made awareness on issues like this. Try to contact Sikh youth project, or Sikh awareness society or theres another one but can't remember name. At least you not feel alone in all of this.
  2. WJKK WJKF Thats gr8 stay at ur bibiji's house. I still cant understand if there is no dukh, why families go to these babeh. I can understand if somebody is dukhi and they cant see no way out then its an excuse to go. But if there is no dukh in their lives, makes no sense. This thing is going on in most families in our communtiy. people tend to go to others when there is somebody talking back to them, Dont ever think that waheguruji is not with us, just because when we go to the gurdwara we dont hear nobody talking back to us. Thats not true. Waheguruji is always there, its just that we cant hear them in our bad times. Whatever is written in our karm will happen and nobody can change that. And if its something to do with blackmagic/jadu-tunaa then only a high level mahapursh/brahmgyani can get rid of that with gurbani and even then that would be gurbani/god doing the work not the human. Thats my thinking as I dont know any different. REally hope this gets sorted. our people keep doing these things, if somebody gained something from so n so, then try it, so they stuck in the vicious cycle and then comes a time when they cant get out of it.
  3. WJKK WJKF Paji dont be scared, if you are scared then only negativity will get to you. Dont say anything to this man, dont provoke him, dont talk infront of him, just keep out of his way, that is my advise to you..Sorry i cannot advise you further as I myself have been through similar situations as this and i really dont know wat to say. All these things are not within sikhi, ask any gursikh. But keep doing chaupai sahib ji da paat, waheguruji will help you. Dont cut ur beard, makes no difference if they laugh, as they are laughing at themselves. But dont go argue unwantedly with ur family. Keep strong and keep telling them its not right. Can i ask if your family is dukhi in some way, as normally people that are dukhi try anything and dont realise wat they are doing or whether its going to work. From wat u are describing its completely a different religion from wat is being practised. Please dont be scared, there is nothing to be scared of. The man cannot hurt anybody, and the things such as pointing water to sun, etc, have no meaning. But i will say dont u drink nothing from him, or eat anything, trust me on that one. And may waheguruji help u out in this. So please any knowledgeable member of the sangat help this brother, as I dont know wat else advise to give.
  4. WJKK WJKF This is very sad news. I dont want to scare u, but once he is in ur house, anythin can happen. Depends wat kind of baba he is, and whether he is going to use wat he has learned in wrong ways. But sounds like he is not a gursikh, and why has he come to ur house? Did u ask ur parents why he has come? I cant understand why he has come to stay as so called baba's dont normally stay the night, either they come and go, so its something to think about. But dont u worry do chaupai sahib ji da paat, and im not sure whether i should say this, but would it be worth getting advise from an elder gursikh, or a mahapursh? Please other members of the sangat advise paji on this as its very worrying to hear something like this. Or on the other hand, he may just be wanting to make some money, without any dangerous powers and see ur parents as an opportunity.
  5. WJKK WJKF I also agree that nowadays its very hard to trust people with your land/property. In this kalyug, everybody is out for themselves, and yes its got so bad in india amongst blood relatives too. But there are some families who do have trusting and sincere links with their relatives back in india. If it was me deciding, I would keep some land in india, and let somebody i trusted to lookafter it, as if you're going back often, its wise to have something to go back to, and it is ur roots end of day, would be a shame to lose that connection. But also remember you can only buy land if you have an indian passport, the legal way. If you are an NRI, such as uk, then you can get one of those NRI cards, but it does not allow you to buy land, althou u can buy property, I think, but not fully sure you may want to research and check that. Not sure of USA rules for NRI's.
  6. WJKK WJKF The OP asked a simple question, why does everything have to be turned into a community/caste bashing debate?? Get back on the topic please.

    Fear And Sikhi

WJKK WJKF Good, liked this, the presentation layouts are gr8
  8. WJKK WJKF The best person to ask about this is ur doctor, explain that u dont eat meat, eggs and they will see if there is an alternative. If the doctor is of no help as they are usually very busy and expect the patient do go and do their own research after instructing them to take so and so supplements, then I advise you see a good pharmacist at your nearest pharmacy, or of ur choice. Pharmacists are there to help, and are always available behind the counters, so anything you need help with they are there to help. This may help but ask your doctor again about the extra folic acid in ur wife's diet. http://www.patient.c.../Folic-acid.htm http://www.smanutrit...x?accepted=true
  9. WJKK WJKF I have only read the first post on this topic, and last. I think if i would comment on this topic I am mad. Ja tha main vehlee hai tha hor koi kam ni, ja tha mere dimak ch nauksh hoga.. He's gone from this world now, and the courts made their decision. Its not going to bring him back or rewind wat has happened. Jo hogea, so hogea, we arent the ones to judge upon a dead man's karm. P.S: I support neither side.

    Deceiving Donut

@Raghbir Singh, they have to write that to cover themselves, in case somebody with egg allergy eats the doughnut and then has an allergic reaction, they can be sued, in case of cross-contamination. Whether u want to eat it is up to you, nobody can advise if u will be less of a sikh if u ate it, im not an amritdhari but i would personally eat it, it all depends on you, how far are u expected to go? hahaha@innergear, bechara mere vangar boxeh wal veki janda, "khava keh na-khava ke na".......I normally get into that cycle, then get stressed and end up throwin things away.
  11. I think you are getting negative replies about some places of west midlands. Its all how you choose to live in your home that counts. And with a bit of research from other areas like estate agents, websites such as upmystreet and myneighbourhood you Will get more of an idea of what area you want to live in. London is more expensive than midlands so your budget Will buy a nice spacious house in most reasonable areas of midlands towns. Wolverhampton is not a bad area neither is Birmingham. You just need to choose what amenities you need and schooling, which also can be researched on the net. I used to live in a very posh city with lovely scenery quiet and could not hear a pin drop. Then we moved to a busy area with lots of punjabis and even thou wish it was quieter and cleaner, its the culture that i like here, which i never experienced for years with no apne, or stores gurdware nearby. 20mins from a gurdwara is ok too. Every town has bad areas, ask locals too, rather than just on this forum as you Will get confusing views. Wolves is great as you got areas within 30mins travel by car, such as wednesfield, willenhall, west brom, Birmingham areas. With all the gurdware nearby any of these areas.
  12. Ha ha ha @innergear and xtremesingh. Normal bolda sanu ni samj aundi. Mere dimak de pechey hilgey tad manu ni samaj aundi. Sirf pepsi coka cola lilt samaj ayi. Yo yo.
  13. Yes you are right sikhsoldier, a mahapursh would only say Wat god wishes them to. When i say we should not rely on everything from them, i mean should not expect a magic wand to be waved and the disease Will go away. We should also realise our karms play a part in this. We should respect mahapursh, otherwise i would not call them mahapursh if i did not have that respect. We can only seek their blessings and they can do ardas for us. But rest is up to god. A mahapursh would only make one better if god allows them to. They too have to abide by waheguru's hukam. I would love to have their darshan, yuvraj is lucky in that sense. Kende je siahna gaal vi kade oh vi ashirwaad hunda. If an elder swears at someone consider it a blessing. Wat i dont get in the video yograj saying they send him here there for cure. That's a good thing from my opinion, how else he going to get help. And he shouldn't really be saying things like that on tv of a siahna of their age, there is not many mahapursh of that age group i heard of.
  14. May i also add when it first happen with me a case like this i kept crying and lost my confidence, but then a paji also a member on this site explained that it is hard to understand from Wat perspective a mahapursh is talking as they are on different level to us. Also my husband says we won't be able to understand Wat they are saying so after that i also thought its Wat god wants them to say. But i respect the mahapursh and dont put them down as they said god is the one that helps. I dont think any mahapursh/sant would say yes you have this disease get on with it as that would break ones heart and confidence more. Its hard for us to understand why they say it. Bhul chuk maf je galat kuch keha hove ji.
  15. WJKK WJKF Bhenji it is normal to feel nervous, after living so long in ur own family, then all of a sudden a change without knowing wat is ahead. You dont have to do nothing, but be yourself, respect elders and others where respect is due, and the rest you will learn as you go along. Dont worry about it, otherwise you will work urself up and take on unwanted tension. Just let ur future takes it course, as nothing can be planned, but I will say its not easy at times, as married life is a different zone, I Thought it would be all flowers and easier after marriage, but theres more to it than that, with extended families. if they dont interfere or dont make it tough for you, then u got nothing to be worried about. And remember in marriage both sides have to compromise with each other. All will be fine, just enjoy each day as it comes.
  16. WJKK WJKF Babaji Hansali wale are the sianeh mahapursh? Is that who he is talking about? if it is, then they are very old in age, and it surprises me that they would talk in length with somebody, as from this forum I have learned that they say very little when one goes to visit them. I also understand why he is reacting in such way, as i have also been told there is nothin wrong with me by going to visit some mahapursh/baba but i will not name any, as my thinking now is by all means do visit them, but dont rely on them for everything. Dont leave medicine, and the doctors advise, as one needs that.
