Gurfathe Ji... It can be understable why people do not take lungar from those who are not amritdari. E.g... A couple of weeks ago when getting lungar (from the Gurdwara) poured into our trays from the "sewadar" we later notcied she was chewing gum....!!! That is NO WAY to be doing any sort of seva, esp when serving those with lungar. People just dont realise what the term "sauchum" means, after approching the girl about her actions, she did not move from her stand, she stood there continuing to serve, after a couple of mins, appraoched her again and asked her if she had understood what she was just told, she said she did and that she had swallowed her gum!!!! SO i dont blame people if they are cautious about taking lungar from others who are not amritdari. Gurftahe Ji.

AT LAST!!!... thats exactly what this topic was meant to be about.. when taking about caste, i was not merely talking about jatt, tarkhan, or whatever else there is. I was talking about jathas/groups being formed because of the style of dastar people wear... Dumala = AKJ Gol (Sant ji style) = DDT then the Kookia have thier own style. etc... From this, are we not creating another "caste" being the groups each individual classes themselves as - and steering away from the caste system which already exsists? People say the dont believe in the caste system, its wrong... But they are ignorant to the fact that maybe they are creating other "castes" when getting together with a particular jatha / group?? And excluding themselves from the other groups because they think they are better...

obvioulsy u dont understand what the music is saying, if you are intriged by it, you shud ask him what it means, if he says its prayers then so be it... Ik Oankaar ... Sat Nam... There is one and ONLY one God and Truth is his name, carry on listening to it, it aint doing you any damage... if not you just pull out your kirtan and blast that!!! :umm:

you wont know what caste your from, but you can guess from what 'group' you may class yourself as...

Gurfathe Ji... Are the youth of today going forward or backwards? We say our last generation are those who believe in the caste system, we know its wrong as after taking amrit there is no caste and everyone is as equal as each other... BUT, are we creating our own 'caste system' and not noticing?!? We can tell what caste people are by the way they tie thier dastar, are we now doing the same thing, but indiretly creating a caste i.e jatha / group? From the way pople tie thier dastar we can tell what 'jatha / group - caste' they belong to and from this they think they can exclude themselves from each other, becuase they know more or better than the other. We think we know what is right or wrong and so tell others what to do because its the 'right' way... but the ONLY way we can know what is right or wrong is by taking a hukamnama and read into what Maharaj is telling us and act on that, not do what others 'think' is right. To beat this kuljug we need to stick together, help each other in need and help each other grow in sikhi, not create barriers between each other - this will only take us a step back, we dont know what guun (goodness) people have, if we stay away from these people because they are not from the same 'jatha / group' we dont know how much we are missing out by not getting sangat of these people. There are good and bad pople everywhere, we should help those who are on the wrong path and take the goodness from the people who have gyaan. Your thoughts and comments welcome... Gurftahe Ji.

Its totally shocking to hear criminal acts such as these occuring on our streets. It dont matter if the little singh was amritdari or not, he kept his kesh and no one has the right to take away Guru Jis saroop! We think we live in a multi national city... but we dont... no one understands each other. People are just against each other or out to get one another. The only thing we can do is look after each other and help those in need without relying on others to help us, as well as that, just do paath as your out and about and be alert of your surroundings!

Going back to the initial question... "is there a God"? The first line in Guru Granth Sahib answers that "ik oa(n)kaar".... There is one and only ONE God... One Universal Creator God Anymore questions??

Cant believe some people are actually against the thought of Shaheed Singhs being around... If there is such things as ghosts (which there are as Maharaj Ji states this) then why cant there be Shaheeds around to protect us?!? "Guru Mere Sang Sudhae Hai Nalai"
