These pictures are taken from a weekly simran programme at Smethwick GNG. Every week only a handful of people turn up, but yesterday the hall was packed full... all in loving memory of the 3 Gursikhs who passed away holding onto each other... They will be remembered for many many years to come! Not only have the sangat greived together, it has brought us all together signifying how united we do actually stand.

NO doubt the UK is... Why? 1) Because the Sikh youth are always so welcoming 2) Theres ALWAYS some sort of kirtan prog / youth prog going on 3) Theres more G'ware around here (one in every corner)!!! 4) Ummm... i was being sacrastic there in case u didnt notice and there is no difference between sangat and pangat so if sangat has to sit on floor then pangat has to sit on floor tooo.. if you really wanna sit on chairs then there are plenty of resturants go there dont try to change gur maryada....... :nihungsmile: Who says im tryin to change the Marayda?!?... Can I ask a silly question? Do you wear your kirpan to sleep? If so, could you stab yourself in the middle of the night by accident? lol... Khalsaji i sleep with my 1 feet long kirpan... And i was never stabbed myself in the middle of the night.... I normaly inject my self with stuff that makes me get knocked out straight away, so even if i did stab my self i wont feel it!!! :TH: Going back to the original Q... If EVERYONE is sittin on chairs its ok, but if theres some on the floor and some on charis, you shud opt to sit on the floor. Its about being on the same level as everyone else... No one being higher than each other!

Just a thought... Normally an Akand Paath goes on for 3 days... Has anyone thought about doing an Akand Paath Kirtan style?... Where all the angs of Guru Ji are not read, but sung?? It would take more than 3 days, but that way sangat would actually be participating in the Akand Paath and not just mutha teeking, eating parshad and going... Any thoughts??...
